We paid more and got less! The advertisement said the hotel was a tropical paradise so were the reviews. We checked in and the only friendly face was the first doorman we encountered .The front clerks seem to be standoffish, gossiping about their activities for when their shift ended, we walk right pass them luggage and all, no greetings.

The room seemed clean till you looked closer. To our horror the walk on balcony had pubic hair on the floor, after seeing that we found that the pillow sheets had different colour stains on each one so did the sheets! Tostadas were pushed under the bed. The sink for brushing your teeth wasn’t in the bathroom but outside across from where you make coffee or tea. No refrigerator, but you could rent one. The hotel room was outdated!

We were offered another room but it would have to be cleaned first so we just asked for someone to come clean ours up fresh linen and all. Walked half a mile to get to their beach in back of the hotel. Bring plenty of cash for hotel restaurant. The beach was the best part, even with the walk. Never again for us...but it may be different for you. Rooms need major work. A new layout, carpet was stained, dirty.

If we had paid less I would have expected this but it was pricey. Anyway that’s our experience, oh and we went out and bought new sheets and wore socks. I could tell you how we tried to get our money back but be cautious and Good Travelling....

Four members of my family went to Florida last year (my mother 50, my sister, 25, my brother 15 and myself 19) and we haven’t stopped talking about it since.

It was easily the best holiday we have ever had. Apart from a bit of sun burn, everything went so smoothly. We went to Bush Gardens one day and Discovery Cove another. Snorkelling with tropical fish and swimming with dolphins was unbelievable. Our hotel was amazing, so clean, beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained. A 24 hour shop catered to our every need, which was located just downstairs from our room.

The hotel owned a section of the beach, which was always clean and not very busy at all. All in all it was the holiday that dreams are made of. As we went in May, we missed the bad weather and the spring break kids had all gone home. Florida doesn’t have to be the plastic world of Mickey Mouse and Disney; it was more like a tropical paradise for us!

The only thing I would change would have been the uncomfortable night flight home. But it didn’t effect the wonderful time we had in Florida, and we are going to go back.

This hotel has a number of good points: free high-speed internet, games room, spacious swimming pool. Some things aren’t so good: the vast but hot beach is a long walk to the disappointing sting-ray infested sea.
I would recommend this hotel for the older generation because the kids will only want to stay in the pool-all they can do- and so will get burnt like I did went I was younger. Older people would thoroughly enjoy this lovely experience, I know it was perfect for my mum and dad both 50. *YOUR DISCUSSION* :)

The Gulf of Mexico is wonderful but expect thunderstorms mid afternoon ish during the summer months. The Hotel is clean with excellent service. The main restaurant serves excellent food and the cafe style bar near the front entrance is good value for money. We asked for a room change after being allocated one next to the pool bar and the helpful reception staff moved us straight away.
The beach looks amazing but be warned it is a shingle and broken shell beach rather than the fine sand of the main clear water beach...so take beach shoes.
If you like seafood, try Crabby Bills. Daily fresh lobster and snow crab is divine.
Overall, a lovely place. Enjoy.
