Overall this hotel was impressive. from our balcony we had a beautiful view of the river Nile, and the swimming pool was right next to the river.
The service in the hotel was a very high standard, each evening when we returned to our room there was a rose and chocolate left on our pillows, which I think was a lovely touch.
The Valley of the Kings is also visible from the hotel.
There were plenty of people offering felucca rides from the river bank, which is a definite must do activity.
The staff were polite and friendly although the female staff were slightly less accommodating.
On the third day of our stay there were some repairs being carried out in the corridor, which resulted in quite a lot of noisy banging but aside from that there were no other disruptions.
The food was quite pricey but there was always a great selection of fruit salads, and pastries available at breakfast, and a range of fish and meat at dinner time.
The alcohol was extremely expensive only the local drinks were cheaper.
The hotel pool was on the small side and was crowded during the day but was usually deserted by 5 pm.
I would stay at the hotel again.

Me, my wife & 2 girls (17 & 11)
Upgraded cheaply enough to a River View (do so if you can). Staff were great & couldn’t do enough. Eg. Told the manager we were out for a few hours, kept an eye out for the kids & let them have whatever they wanted & settled up later.
Food was extremely good with enough variety for the week (maybe not for 2 weeks though). If you have a sweet tooth, you're in for a treat. You were allowed a fair amount per meal so if you want to use another restaurant within the grounds, you just paid the extra.
A small-ish but gorgeous pool with few people & no scrambling for loungers - that’s probably because it was August!! The pool man was constantly adjusting the Parasols to ensure you didn’t get burnt.
Great location for the many excellent "thing to do" in Luxor.
I’ve no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I'd go back if there weren’t a million other places to go first :)
