We stayed at this hotel for four days at the end of a trip to Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe before flying home to UK. The room was very comfortable and clean. It had everything you would need for a short stay though I would not have wanted to spend a fortnight there as it was in a busy area and I found it a bit noisy. The advantage of its location was that it was a short walk from the Wharf and its attractions, which was why we booked it. The staff were fine and we had no complaints.

I was in this hotel for 3 nights during a USA 10 day multi-trip.
Firstly the location is about 2mins walk to Pier 39 with loads of things to see and do. Shops, markets, fast food stalls the lot. The best thing is the seals and there are hundreds of them (you can hear them at night too from the hotel).
However, if you’re looking for night-life like bars & restaurants this is not the hotel for you as its about 30--40mins walk to civilisation. We walked for about a half-hour on our first night to find a bar. There are plenty of supermarkets close though for snacks.
The hotel itself is basic. The room we had was clean, tidy, and huge but the bathroom oddly, was tiny. Big comfortable bed and big TV though. The noise from the lifts was quite bad although we were about 30ft away from them (might have been service lift) but as the room was fully booked we couldn't move. There's a pool which is clean and decent size but the fitness centre was somewhat lacking.
The staff were OK but trying to switch rooms was an adventure. We were warned by an elderly couple about the concierge trying his best to get 'a few bucks out of you by whatever means possible' so avoid him.
Overall for nightlife it’s too far from the decent bars and restaurants and exploring but for a 1 or 2 night stay its adequate enough. I recommended seeing Pier 39 at night when all the performers are around as during the day it is quite quiet.
