H Top Royal Beach

How this hotel can be described as 4* is laughable. Although the rooms are clean they are very basic. In our room the lamps didn't work, nor did wardrobe doors. Only small things but they make a difference. However the air-conditioning didn't even exist! There was only a fan, which didn't work.The bathroom sink had a large, dirty crack in it.the view was of the back of the kitchens/service area, so after the drunks had stopped running along the corridors, shouting in the early hours we were woken at 6am as the cages containing the dirty linen were changed over, there were also a number of pairs boxers which had fallen and just been left. The lighting in the corridors was very dim, this could have been to hide the stains on the carpet!. The food was very plain, repetative and lukewarm so we ate out, which defeats the idea of AI. Although it is recommended for families & couples it seems to cater for a lot of single sex groups, (including a stag party of 28!)who take over the pool and bar area making it impossible to relax. You do get what you pay for. i.e not very much.It should be 2* to avoid disappointing guests expecting 4*.

Worst place i lived in .in my last day ,i left my baggage in the storage room ,equipped with a video camera that apparently wasn't recording anything.the hotel staff stole my wallet ,sunglasses and my camera from my luggage and nobody did anything , neither the police. THE CONSEQUENCES were that is missed my flight , i lived for 33 hours in the airport and i paid another ticket ,all of this because of the hotel!!!!!!!!
DO NOT EVER GO TO ROYAL BEACH -LLORET DE MAR IF U CARE ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL THINGS!!!

Stayed there twice now last year and this year and I cant fault anything about the hotel and surrounding area.Food is great and varied with themed evening meals every 3 days or so, chinese, spanish, mexican etc. Roof top terrace is chilled out and gets a lot of sun. Pool is clean. Beach is clean and only 2 minute walk away. Centre is 10 mins walk with great bars/clubs. Room was cleaned everyday and stocked with fresh towels. The only things I can think of that i could criticise is that the ****** grundig didnt work! Also, the alcoholic drinks were watered down and sometimes at night the queue for drinks was long. Overall, very enjoyable stay!

We stayed at the Royal Beach hotel for a week the beginning of May, it was ok, a bit noisy at night and the food was pretty standard but the staff were very nice and the hotel was clean. We found a nice pub around the corner which was a new pub called El Pub, nice couple from England who are really excellent running it and a good proper drink too! Fenals was a nice area.

For a start check out the photos being used to promote this hotel on Expedia.co.uk ... Hilarious! for those peopel who have been I'm sure like me you wouldn't even recognise the place.
Ok, it's no four star, the food is not going to win Michelin stars and the "24-hour food available" is a joke (ham and cheese sandwiches and even then only after 1pm - if you miss breakfast you're screwed).
The problem is that the hotel books in too many one-night stay parties of loud (is there any other kind?) Italian students who cause mayhem down the corridors in the wee hours.
That said, what do you expect for the price. I booked through Lowcostholidays.com - that says it all (and they are even worse than the hotel!!!).
The food is not as bad as some of the reviews I've read. They do some seafood and Catalan dishes and that clearly doesn't cut it for the steak and chips brigade.
The rooms were very clean and regular maid service.
Look, it's cheap and cheerful and with 2 teenage boys who consume food and drink at an alarming rate it was fine.
If you have little kids go elsewhere!

went to this hotel 17 april for a week went all inc no snacks no water at mealtimes food awful pork pork pork did not no u could cook pork so many ways it was full of students 400 of screaming girls and boys banging on doors throwing from balconies all night partys went onto balcony one morning aft alnight party and there was a tree in pool and all soil on first floor balconies they knew who had done it but they just made them clean balconies they should av been thrown out security were useless they took over the hotel no entertainment on i was lucky to get 3 hours sleep a night glad i was onley there a week

we stayed here march 8th 2011 for 12 nights. rooms are a good clean spanish average. food was good although 50% of our party went down with some kind of food poisoning. the source of which was not evident. could have been that drinks from the bar are served in half pint plastic beakers which are washed and used over and over again. (my wife asked for a sweet sherry before our evening meal and yes it was served up in the half pint plastic beaker!!)
our main complaint is the succession of short stay (2/3 nights) hen and stag night parties booking in. their only aim is to stay in the bar and sun terrace from 10.00am till midnight throwing the all inclusive drinks down their throats. at midnight they staggered to the night club opposite to continue. eventually returning noisily at all hours of the morning. while we was there one 21 strong hen party was evicted after fighting amongst themselves and throwing plastic chairs off the 5th floor balcony.
be warned... if you like drinking from re-used plastic beakers and enjoy sitting round the pool surrounded by drunken louts this is the place for you!! for it was rumoured this hotel chain has arranged cheap deals with a budget airline for hen and stag parties.

Took my husband away for his birthday Never stayed any where like that in my life. 4* they dont know the meaning my husband along with many guest got food p. The walls and floor are as thin as paper it was like stepting back in time I never stayed in a hotel in my life but this was like a hostel setting with larger louts drunk at 11am in the morning by the afternoon they were unable to stand up. The food in this place was absolutly disgusting thank god for roxy there food is woderful and not to expensive. Its a shame because the area is beautiful except for the locals letting there dogs poo every where but beach and area is wonderful would return but to a rented apartment. not one good night sleep there was load of fights and screaming and shouting Icame back totally nackerd.

Okay, my mother & I spent our 7 day vacation at Royal Beach Hotel in summer 2010 in June. The staff, rooms,location and entertainment were great! It was clean & the staff members were super friendly. I don't know what is with all theese negative comments about the hotel. The beach was extremely close to the hotel and there were a variety of clothing stores not to mention the center of Lloret which is also near by the hotel. It was amzing! I highly recommend you stay here.

furniture falling to bits, food appaulling, but don't think most cared as they used it for a cheap all inclusive booze up while on a fagrun for a few days. Staff were rude, last decorated in the 70s, the noise outside was all night. First time ever on holiday I have been glad 2 get bvack. If u want a cheap rowdy booze up this is 4 u, if not stay away
