Just returned after a three day break, great hotel, room clean, assortment of food each meal time, staff very friendly, treat them with respect and they treat you the same, there was a group of us we all had a great time, the only downside was paper thin walls so you could here people in the next rooms, loved everything about the hotel, entertainment each night, so would without a doubt go there again

firstly i have stayed at this hotel twice now, Once with my parents when i was young and i went back last year with my own family and both time were amazing. I have just been reading these reviews because im thinking of going back again this year. I cant beleive what people are saying. The food, snack and entertainment are Brill and i cant fault the staff. I think some of the people who have put bad comments on here about this hotel need to re-think.
I have one 2 week holiday a year, i work all year round and look forward to my holiday and belive me i wouldnt want to waste my money or time on a rubbish holiday, thats why i keep going back because i have such a good time.

it was a clean hotel with a lot of nice people
people where very helpfull and friendly
the food was ok but you get what you pay for
rooms where nice and clean however they where very noisy you could hear everything from your neighbours
there are lots of places around the resort that are really easy to get to
however it is a great place to go away for a relaxing break.

Me and a friend both 18 at the time went to this hotel a year before last year, just before the summer season kicked in. I just wanted to set a record staright because some of the reviews are very harsh and may give a completely biased view of this hotel.
We arrived late in the evening but the staff were efficient and arranged for late night food to be made for us. i thought that was great. As we wanted a relaxing holiday we didn't take much notice of the entertainment but everyone seemed to have a laugh especially in the evenings.
The weather unfortunately was not as good as we had hoped and got rained on several times during our weeks stay. A shame but not the hotels fault.
I can see where some of the bad reviews come from i.e. loud banging and shouting late at night etc. It was full of students when we went too but didn't seem to bother us much as they much preffered to chuck each other into the pool. some were quite amusing but it did get old pretty quick.
The rooms were nice and clean the maids worked tirelessly to make sure we had clean towels and a made bed bless them they even folded and put away my PJs! safe to say i left them a tip it was well earned.
The food was plentiful, i never went hungary or got ill, may have overeaten some nights but hey thats what holiday is all about. Never seemed to make it up for breakfast though when i did didn't think much of it a bit bland all ways round for me but far from fowl!
The only excursion we went on was to Barcelona and again it rained on that day so spent most of the time trapped in a cafe drinking 5 euro at a time hot chocolate very expensive but hey its Barcelona after all.
All in all had a relaxing time felt the staff worked hard especially the maids. Had no run ins with the locals though they were pretty pushy a couple of times a really firm NO and they get it in the end. May retuen when the weather would be alot better and the entertainment would be in full swing would only stay for a week though do not think it would do for two weeks.
Also go to the irish bar across the way from the hotel really nice people and they play english music anything from a bit of rock to club stuff but it is a tad expensive but the alcohol is strong compared to the hotels drinks.

we have just returned from a week s holiday at the royal beach this was my second visit to this hotel and we were very impressed once again .unfortunatly after 3 days i was taken ill with my appendix and needed to be taken into hospital .the hotel staff were brilliant in keeping my 15 year old son informed after ringing round all the hospitals to try and locate which hospital i had been taken to . we will be going back again in july without my appendix

My wife and I went for a short 3 day break to Spain at the Lloret de mar resort in the H. Top Royal Beach hotel. I can only be thankful that we did not book any longer, thisn hotel is an absolute disgrace to the hotel industry. The hotel itself is average quality and the building is kept clean, the food is good also to be fair. However on arrival back to the hotel after a days sight seeing in Barcelona I discovered that my iphone charger that was left on the bedside table had dissapeared, I though at first that the cleaners must have put it away, My wife and I searched the room from top to bottom looking for the charger and UK adaptor it was plugged into. After a fruitless search we decided to go and have dinner then report the loss to reception. I did just that and it was a total waste of time the reception desk could't have been less interested, they told me to see the manager who would be there in the Morning.
I then went to the desk again the following Morning after another fruitless search and was told the manager was not on site all day, then I was asked why I had left it til the morning to report the theft. They gave me a form to fill out which was in Spanish and they would look at the cameras situated around the hotel and then told me to report back later that day as the Manager would be in in the afternoon, thats funny as I recall being told by the same guy 2 minutes earlier that the manager was not on site all day. I told the desk that I would report the theft to the local Police during the day. We set off to the local Police station to report the incident and found that no officers spoke English at all and that I would have to go back the following day where they would ring a translator, we were flying back the following Morning so wouldnt be able to do that, the police were friendly and tried to help but basically didnt want to know. Yes I know im making a fuss about a 2 euro charger but it wass the inconvenience and the principle of tghe thing that wound me up. On arrival back at the hotel I went to the desk and asked about the camera viewing and was told that they hadnt looked and from the attitude it was obvious that they were not going to.
On arrival back in the UK I emailed the H.Top head office and after several weeks I received a reply in part spanish and part pigeon english basically saying they werent liable and rejected the claim. I did reply to the email politely saying that they could care less about their guests and that the staff at that hotel were a disgrace. We have vowed never to go to Spain again as thats not the first time we have encountered the I DONT GIVE A DAM attitude

Just returned home from a 1 week, all inclusive holiday at Royal Beach. Weather was good 70 degrees. This was a bargain holiday which enabled us to have a second holiday this year. It wasn't like our luxury summer holiday with First Choice, but I knew that when I booked, hence the price for myself and two sons (all inclusive). Staff were very helpful and friendly too. The hotel was nice (tiled floors and walls ect), dining room was decorated nicely, it was in my opinion the furnishings and paintwork ( entertainment room) that gave the impression it was not a 4 star but more like a 2/3. Food was very bland and the choice was minimal, but we didn't go hungry. I would recommend a night out to the Medieval Castle, was a very good night. Beach is only 2 mins away and is a lovely little cove. Holiday's are what you make of it. We had a great time even though we wasn't surrounded with luxury. You get what you pay for in my opinion.

Well just got back this morning from Royal beach ...myself and my husband both in our 30's and two daughters 9 and 13 really enjoyed this holiday..I'm really glad we wasn't in the centre of Lloret though as this did seem more for the real party go'ers ..we are not at all a boring family love a laugh in a friendly safe enviroment and i feel this is what we got! Yes the food is repetative but all inclusives are yes the drinks mostly bacardi and vodcas are watered down but who wants to get sloshed with kids? so the drinks were fine ..2 drinks per visit per adult 1 for kids but go back as many times as you wish ..seems some familys want to booze and booze im no prude so those who moan just wish to get drunk and drink an drink etc ...you can never go hungry there is food on offer all the time ...your snacks in between burgers salad sausage baps chips etc ..which i didnt need as the 3 meals were ample enough ..a mixture of all sorts ...loads of fruits on offer ..champagne breakfast too! rooms where clean ..normally we always go self catering and eat out so we're use to larger accomidations ..so rooms are small! but clean ..yes a little nosiy at night with heels clicking around on floors and people shouting but thats down to ignorant people ...also quite a lot of young people go who are back from partying ..this didnt bothe us at all ...mixture of all nationalitys ..entertainment was a bit naff but we sat around the pool drinking and chatting with friends there is a park on site too all closed in ...all staff are frindly ..so cant understand the negative comments if your nice with people the're nice back!lovely beaches but shinges ...wear shoes when walking though on sand! brilliant water sports try the flying fish! 15 euros each much better than the banana boat! also try the boat from fenals where we are to tossa ...lovely ..tossa is nice all old fashoned winding roads full of shops we had to leave lots of shoes and clothes behind to fit all our goods in lol ..golf next door the crazy golf though kids loved it ...lots of shops ..try the indian shops right at top turn right ..got loads of nike trainers ! knock them down in price ...loads of bags for the ladies ..had a brilliant holday and where ever you go unless its the north pole you will always get a rowdy bunch ..we just move away from them ..met some lovely people ...so dont be put off ...its not 5 star so if you like 5 star treatment book 5 star! but staff lovely rooms clean food ok a bit of everything ..drinks fine and im glad they're watered down as some dont know when to stop ..a few stags do's while we where there ..all dressing up in costumes ..good fun ..no bad language off the brits i may add!lol ..so for familys who enjoy a laugh in nice surroundings with nice people dont worry and enjoy ..i like quite select locations nd was dreading this holiday with some of the reviews ...so dont! really enjoyed it we all did!

furniture falling to bits, food appaulling, but don't think most cared as they used it for a cheap all inclusive booze up while on a fagrun for a few days. Staff were rude, last decorated in the 70s, the noise outside was all night. First time ever on holiday I have been glad 2 get bvack. If u want a cheap rowdy booze up this is 4 u, if not stay away
