Comments:  My boyfriend and i stayed here for a week. we thought as we paid alot of money to stay here it would be out of this would. how wrong were we. the staff at this hotel are very nice. the rooms are just standered. and what can i say for the food. SHOCKING. i didnt really eat all week as the food was nasty. what ever was for dinner was all mixed together the next day and that was luch.
I also have to say about the cleaning staff. i would watch what you leave in you room, as my neckles went miss from the bathroom. (are safe was not working at this piont) my boyfriend had to kick up a fuss for then to do any thing, they looked around are room moving every thing (which we had already done) they then walked out the room and talked to some one. come back in and found it on the side.!!! so i say just be carefull if you do stay. i will never stay here again. 10/07/2008

Comments:  Ill keep this short as i know it gets boring reading an essay!
- Was very pleased, booked a deluxe room which was great as was in main building close to everything.
- Was so spotless honestly, very very clean.
- Waiters are very helpful
- Entertainment so so so rubbish
- Not much for kids which suited me and my partner fine
- Food was okish, but what do you exspect they have to keep it minimal otherwise everybody would be ill
- Its perfect location, not far from Naama but out the way so your not in the hustle.
- Visit the Dragonera for a meal out down Naama bay
- Do Cairo and Tiran Island for snorkelling
- Beach on holiday resort is lovely
- Not overun from German or Russian or Deutch which was nice aswell
- Over all very pleased and would return and recommend

Comments:  Just returned from other great holiday at HSB. As always the Egyptian staff were extremely helpful and friendly, it is these hard working guys that make the hotel so special. The food was enjoyable, with a different menu every night but some people may think there is a lack of presentation in the layout of the buffet. The only exception was a Pina Colada at the pool bar, served warm, even with ice and the milk curdled on the top. The towel art was excellent this stay, especially the man watching TV.

The hotel is starting to look in need of a facelift (especially the bathrooms and the jetty at the beach) but with everything kept clean and with the great weather and staff, this was not a major issue. One evening we visited the new extension across the road, with one of the managers and were impressed with what we saw. The centre of the complex is a very large pool area, complete with beach, slides and two large bars. The rooms are on two floors around the outside of the complex. They were large with both a shower and bath and all rooms had an outside area overlooking the pools. Both of us cannot wait to return again in November and hopefully switch from our normal room behind reception to the new extension.

Also once again the onsite dive centre was very accommodating with my requirements. The guides are all well trained and always have your safety in mind. As mentioned above the jetty at the beach needs some maintenance as some of the cells have split. This is not a problem if you are just snorkelling but in full dive gear you can easily loose your balance.

Overall and excellent week and great value for the money, we cannot wait to return.

Comments:  Just returned from the egypt, will not be ging back again!. I am by no means a moaner, i'm 43 and my partner is 32. I save up for a holiday, and expect to get what i'm promised by the tour operator and i like atleast a bit of nightlife.
The hotel was very clean and the staff where excellent but that was about it. The entertainment was nil, the food was not up to scratch (we ended up ordering pizza to the room on several occasions). The breakfast was ok (you can't go wrong with poached eggs and cornflakes). The buffet was dissmal. When they had chicken breast on the menu all you was given, was 3 small slither's (the size of chicken nuggets) and about a dozen french fries (McDonalds type). I didn't go on holiday to audition for oliver twist (asking for more while in a queue). My partner spent ten days on and off the toilet with the runs. The time of serving was by the clock (if you asked for ice cream by the pool bar 1min before 12pm, you didn't get it or if you tried to get a drink at 1min past 12am at the sunset bar)
We put clothes in the laundry and my partners white linen trousers came back stained with a note stating they tried to remove the stains but couldn't. (they were brand new and had never been worn, but had put them in the laundry to be pressed). Another white blouse came back stained pink.
The hotel taxi service was best for travelling into namma bay (very curtious) but once in naama bay, we were targets for the locals out to fleece us for as much money as they could get. all they were interested in was if you was english (every one of them says they have a relative married to someone near to where you live!!!!!!!!), they think the english are soft touches. My partner drinks malibu and tai maria, this was scarce to find anywhere.
The trips we booked were brilliant. Flew to cairo, quad bikes and desert trip, couldn't fault. My main reason for going to sharm was doing my padi open water (brilliant diving) but the rest was such a let down because my partner was left alone for 3 days around the pool dodging the ball from the water polo and volley ball (they always managed to hit her wherever she had her sunbed).

Comments:  Just returned after 2 weeks, our first time in Egypt and it won't be the last, the hotel we could not fault it, the food was great with varied menu's for all tastes, and this did include, roat beef and yorkshire puds, the only thing we can complain about is the evening entertainment or the lack of it, the animation team! well it seem to be that they were more interested in getting people into naama bay to all the big clubs,"they must be on commission from these clubs", one night a friday night the so called disco stopped at 10 past 11, alot of people complained, when we asked them what was going on they told us they could not play any music after midnight! obviously while talking to them they had no intrest, unless your a young female with low cut tops and short skirts, the hotel next to us had an open air disco till 2 am, its the lack of entertainment that lets this place down, "ANIMATION TEAM, GET YOUR FINGERS OUT AND GET IT SORTED". the staff i could not praise high enough, the rooms always clean and tidy, we had a small problem with the red ants on our balcony, we phoned reception and they were there within 10 mins sorting it out.
We had a great time, just a shame about the entertainment, or the lack of, we will go back but may choose another hotel in naama bay where you have the choice if you want it livley or quiet

Comments:  My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week at the Hilton and we had a brilliant time! From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't do enough for us - and this continued throughout the week. The only time we ever tipped was on the last day for the cleaner, so I'm not sure why people are saying you only get good service if you tip.

We got up at 8am every day to reserve our sunbeds, and found that although the hotel was quite busy, there were always sunbeds at the beach after lunch time so we would often leave our own towels by the pool and do some snorklling in the afternoon.

We booked a sea view room which was lovely, very clean and a great view over the pool and out to sea.

The food was excellent, - I'm not sure why so many people complain about it, after all, we are in a different country so the food isn't going to be what we're used to. Saying that, there was plenty of choice, with fresh pizzas made in front of you in 'il rustico' if you don't want to try anything different.

The evening entertainment could have been better, as sometimes we felt a little bored, but the cocktails were drinkable and the beer cold!

I would watch out for red ants at night if you go down to the sunset bar near the beach as I have got about 10 bites on each leg!

The snorklling was great - my first time. There were loads of fish that swam quite close!

The weather varied between 36 and 43 during the week so we came back with nice tans!

Overall we had a fantastic week and will probably be back next year!

Comments:  We booked the holiday in Egypt with bated breath as we had only heard mixed reviews but still wanted to go. We had a fantastic time. the staff were great, service could not have been better. the food was always plenty of choice.
the temperature was between 37 and 40 every day. We are planning to go back in November. We have never had such a relaxing holiday.
If you are bitten by ants or mossis, or even sunburnt, there is a shop in the hotel that sells oils, they are fantastic and work much better than any chemical preparation.

Comments:  What a cracking holiday!! Travelled with wife and two kids 15 and 17 and we had seperate rooms. bliss. Clean rooms, but no view, but then you don't stay in your room. the food was really good 4lbs heavier now. the staff are extremely friendly, thank you guys. Snorkelling is great and we booked the boat to tiran island and it had just two other people on it. superb. We also went for the trial dive which again was fantastic.

some minor gripes, I found the sunbeds a bit uncomfortable, maybe thay could have those ones with cushions next time and the biggest of them all. People putting towels on the beds from 06:00. Totally un necessary. they should get the towel captain to take you to your bed as they do in other hotels. also we must have changed the card key about 5 times as they often didn't work. Overall excellent though

Comments:  My fiance and I have just returned from the Hilton Sharks and had a very relaxing hoilday, the best hoilday by far. After a long journey you are welcomed by friendly staff to greet you on arrival.A porter escorts you to your room and carries your bags we gave him a small tip for this.

Restaurants were clean and staff pleasant and helpful. Good choice of food but dont expect traditional english dishes. The chill out bar and sunset bar were very relaxing on a evening with various entertaintment on again very friendly staff.

Relaxing by the pool was great quiet and various activities on to keep you entertained all though you did need to get up early to get a sunbed.

Rooms were nice and clean, room cleaners left towels in various animals and hearts for us which was a nice touch, satellite tv in rooms with plenty of english speaking channels.

suitable for couples young and old, staff were great with the kids from what we could see, would definitley go back next year.

Comments:  Just returned from The Hilton at Sharks Bay.
AWESOME.... lovely hotel the food was great, all sorts to choose from every meal & the staff are all very friendly & helpful, nothing is to much trouble.
There are large cool boxes with ice placed around the complex with bottles of water in them so bottled water is always available.
The only bad bit was the Thomas Cook rep.... he is utterly useless (but he is not employed by Hilton and their own staff made up for it).

Comments:  Wow!! Have just returned from a fabulous week in Sharm El Sheikh-Hilton Sharks Bay. I had pretty high expectations prior to arriving in Egypt, and to be honest I was quite concerned that I was expecting too much. However my concerns flew out the window on arrival at the Hilton Sharks Bay resort, a fantastic hotel that is located near to the airport and also accessible to Na'ama Bay which is just down the road. The staff were excellent and made my holiday special-they could not do enough to please you, nothing was ever too much trouble...and it all came with a friendly smile too! The facilities at the hotel were excellent and I have to say I was never bored during my stay! My only caution is that you will come back about a stone heavier!!

Excellent holiday-I will return! :-)

Comments:  Returned 2 days ago from an enjoyable holiday with my 23 year old daughter. Unfortunately, I disregarded the rep's warnings to avoid the tomatoes and I am now suffering with the violent stomach cramps and diahroiea.
Snorkelling is good and my daughter enjoyed the paragliding.
There were several British families there but mainly Russian and Italian. Neither caused us any bother but we picked up the distinct feeling that Egyptians do not like dealing with Russians.
No problems with mosquitoes and the place itself is clean.
The food was reasonable although the selection was a bit strange. Bottled water and drinks freely available.
The staff were very helpful but pestered my daughter a bit...more sharks on land then in the sea! The tour guides were briliant...well worth tipping.
I'd definitely return to Sharm El Sheik.

Comments:  What a fantastic place to stay, we visited in March 2008 for our honeymoon and it was the best holiday we have ever had. No amount of words will do the hotel justice. For a four star rating we couldn't complain. The food was varied and very yummy, hence returning home a stone heavier, the entertainment team were great however towards the end of week two we were a little bored. The 'Animation' team who provided activities during the day were excellent and looked after our every need from football to water polo and much more. The Hilton provides something for everyone, and the staff stop at nothing to make your stay enjoyable. The quad biking is a must especially if you get to see the sun set in the evening. The snorkling is awesome and not what I expected, I read a lot of reviews about the coral reef but they didnt prepare me for what I saw. So many different fish in all shapes and sizes, and lots of amazing colours.

Thank you to all at the Hilton

Comments:  We have just returned from a half term holiday at the Hilton Sharks Bay. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted an upgrade, refused and we got lovely interconnecting rooms. Very clean. The food was excellent and none of us had "pharoahs revenge". No problems getting drinks all day and ice creams at the pool bar were nice. Would definately recommend the trip by air to Cairo, we had one guide to 8 people, dinner on the nile and the pyramids at Giza were fantastic.
