I have stayed at mostly all of the major resorts in Costa Rica since I live here and I have had some problems from time to time but I am usually not one to complain but this hotel forced me to find this website so I could warn others about their estabilishment. Our troubles started right from the reservation phone call. I called in my reservation and the girl assured me that it was done. When we reached the front desk the next day we were told that no such reservation existed. That forced me and my wife to stay in a room with 2 single...

okay for resort style
from WPBTA
this hotel is like being in a florida resort, not what we intended. hotel staff was adequate. the dining rooms are hot. rooms were clean. it seems this hotel tries to live up a reputation but the service was not there. it was okay but not above and beyond. next time i would stay in the same area but a smaller hotel or luxury bed and breakfast. the views are fabulous, rooms clean.
Wonderful Hotel!
from nstirling
My boyfriend and I spent five nights at the Parador in mid-May and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in a junior suite, which was even nicer than it appeared online. We had a balcony with an amazing view of the ocean and the hotel grounds. The suites are situated at the top of a hill, so if making a short vigorous walk a few times a day would bother you, maybe choose a different room. Both of the hotel pools were gorgeous. After 6 days there, I still couldn't decide which was my favorite. In general, all of the facilities were...

Hotel Parador and Manuel Antonio-Awesome!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My husband and I just came back from Costa Rica on May 19, 2005. We stayed in many parts of the country, but loved Manuel Antonio for it's diversity. Great beaches, the national park has great animal sightings, you can go kayaking, river rafting, horse back riding, and there's so many restaurants and hotels to choose from. BUT..we stayed and got married at the Hotel Parador. It is a beautiful hotel with the amenities you'd want after a day of adventure. I highly recommend Manuel Antonio and Hotel Parador for an adventure filled yet easy and...

A Worthwhile Destination
from A TripAdvisor Member
Spent 3 days of our honeymoon here and were very pleased with our choice. The grounds are sprawling and lush, situated on a pennisula overlooking the pacific ocean. The views are spectacular!! We saw 2 of the 4 species of monkees of Costa Rica from our room. We saw them on the north side of the property from our 2nd floor room. The private beach is the best in this part of the country. Its calm waters, awesome views of the mountains and snorkling opportunities make this a must visit beach. From the hotel, its a short ride to Manuel Antonio...

Beautiful Hotel, peaceful and relaxing
from A TripAdvisor Member
My family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) spent three nights and this lovely hotel. The road into the hotel is in terrible shape, but once you arrive, it's a peaceful oasis. The grounds are full of wild life. We saw more wild life on the grounds of this hotel than we did at Corcovado National Park. Although the standard rooms are very nice, if you can upgrade to a Superior room, you should. It's much bigger and the view is spectacular. You will recieve a cool towel and a refreshing drink on arrival (a nice touch after the treacherous...

secluded paradise
from fairmaid
We stayed at the Parador for 3 nights and found it beautiful, but too far away from town. Although there are plenty of facilities, you can still feel a little bit trapped if you don't get taxis or tours out. You won't find a much better place to have breakfast, which is plentiful and good. Service was good and staff friendly - the cold towels on arrival were very welcome and a very thoughtful gesture. The pools are beautiful and there is an adult pool for added tranquility if the other two pools are too busy or rowdy. We had no...

Great Hotel
from chrisw957
Just got back from a week in Costa Rica, stayed five nights at Hotel Parador. It was perfect. Our room was simple but very nice. Nice furnishings, clean, and a great air conditioner. I liked that it wasn't all inclusive. The breakfast was included, and was very good, and the other two resturants were easy to get into if you wanted. The staff was very friendly, and while I think the hotel was sold out, it never seemed too crowded. Enjoyed the adult pool most of the time, but also enjoyed the atmosphere around the pool bar. I agree...

Terrific views
from A TripAdvisor Member
Hotel Pardor is an excellent choice in the Manuel Antonio area. If you can afford it, go for the premium rooms at the top of the hill. They offer amazing views of either the ocean/pool or better yet the jungle/ocean on the other side. At dawn, we always saw monkeys, birds, owls, coati, and iguanas in the trees right outside our balcony. If you stay in the standard or deluxe rooms that have little view, try to get up early and go for walk to see the animals at thier most active time. The pool are is really nice. There is a regular,...

Unbelievable hotel!
from Digest
If you are searching for a quiet, luxurious, tropical setting this is the best we have experienced. Junior suites 505-508 have unbelievable views of the ocean. The one major problem about the hotel is the road getting there. It is a shell, rock road which runs from the main road. From the main road, which includes much of the resturaunts and limited night life, the hotel is about a mile. A mile of hell if you attempt to walk it at night. Cabs are hard to find after sunset and the hotel van does not operate at this time. The...
