Jul 2007, Mr  Withers

We stayed at the above apartments at the end of June 2007. We had a two bedroom apartment. The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, but the staff and breakfasts make up for the poor bathroom.
Nothing is too much trouble and they aim to please at all times. The maid service is very good, plenty of clean towels. We had a great time.

Jul 2007, Mrs N Ridley

We came here for our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for more.
A lovely quiet location with stunning views, we will definitely come back to explore more.
The apartments are basic but clean and the staff at Aphrodite are so friendly and will accommodate you with anything.
In fact the friendliness and warmth of these people made our honeymoon all that more special.
Thank you Magda and staff!

Excellent apartments. Basic, but very clean and well maintained. The people who own the apartments are very friendly and helpful. Pool area is clean and a joy to be around.
The down point is the situation of the apartments. It is a round trip of 4 miles if you want to head down to the main part of the resort. Taxi's a far and few between and very expensive.
Restaurants in the area around the apartments are poor. Very poor. If you want good food head to Doukades or Lapades. Oasis and Spiro’s restaurants are very very poor.
If you want to see Paleo in its full beauty head up to Lakones. Beautiful.
Paleo is nice, but is basically a road with stuff on either side. No old town {and no new town for that matter}. Pretty, but boring. We wanted a quiet holiday, but not being able to eat after 10pm in the restaurants in Paleo was a pain.
Next time in Corfu is Kassiopi in May, but will be back at the Aphrodite again in the next few years as the people we meet and the owners were brilliant.
Special mention for our rep Darren. Always there when you needed him, without him being in your faces. Everything you want from a rep.

I completely agree with all the other reviews on this page - this is an absolutely fantastic place for a nice relaxing holiday. The rooms are basic but exceptionally clean, the staff are great - very friendly and welcoming.
The pool area and bar are top notch and the beaches nearby are some of the nicest I have been to. Can’t fault it at all to be honest - would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Booked these specific apartments due to the reviews on this site and others. The apartments are spotless (if old fashioned) and had everything we needed. The pool area and bar were brilliant and well maintained. The owners were very friendly without being in your face. Very nice and genuine people.
The apartments are at the very beginning of the resort and this means you have a 2 mile walk to the main beaches. (It is downhill going and uphill coming back). Found it near impossible to get a taxi any time of the day or night and when we did they were very expensive.
Paleo is a pretty place, but it is in reality just a long road with stuff on either side. No old town or new town for that matter.
Found that the restaurants tend to shut early (about 10.30pm) and food at the ones near the apartments was not the best on offer.
Would recommend hiring a scooter for getting about as there are many outstanding places nearby. Doukades is just outside Paleo and is a beautiful little mountain village with a pretty square with 3 of the best tavernas we ate at. Can thoroughly recommend O'Doukas. Elizabeth’s also has a real Greek feel to it.
We were the only non Greeks eating there. Also go up the steep hill to Lokones for the most breathtaking views over Paleo. You would kick yourself if you didn't go. Can also recommend the restaurant Chilli Peppers (don't know its Greek name). It is located just outside Paleo opposite the BP garage. A truly Greek experience.
The beaches at paleo are poor but a 20min bike ride away is Agios Gordias. This is a great safe beach with all the facilities, but without the crowds. You also get the bonus of having to go through some stunning mountain villages and get some breathtaking views.
The bottom line is, that these are great apartments and a great base for exploring or just chilling out by the pool. No boom boom bars and nightclubs with annoying touts trying to get you in, just a really relaxed holiday free of drunken idiots. I’ll be back sometime in the future.
Just like to add that our rep Darren was fantastic at his job. There when you needed him, but not trying to sell you every tacky package tour under the sun.

We went to the Aphrodite apartments the first 2 weeks in May, for the 3 third time in the last 3 years, the local people are wonderful, Elizebeth-Magda-Stathis-Adonis made us so welcome.
They are just great, the breakfast at the pool bar was wonderful. The wife B relaxes by the pool catching some rays with friends Carol & Mel. While me & Jim & Mick their husbands played cards or dominos around the pool bar, it was just so friendly and the weather is just HOT-HOT-HOT.
Unfortunately, because of work commitments we will not be able to return in 2007,
but we will be back – soon!

Myself and my partner at the time went last summer to the Aphroditi apartments and had one of the best holidays ever. We had no expectations as it was a last minute decision.
I was wonderfully surprised the resort was stunningly beautiful and Magda, Elizabeth, Stathis and Antonis are some of the loveliest kindest people you could meet.
I have never been to the same place 3 times in my life on Holiday and due to their hospitality, kindness and magical way about them and Paleokastritsa as a whole, myself my (now) Fiancée are going back in September with 50 friends and Family to get married.
We have had difficulties in all the organisation as we don’t speak the language, and Magda and Antonis helped us organise accommodation, church, busses, cars flowers, everything, for absolutely no benefit to themselves.
For this we are eternally grateful. This is a demonstration and testament of the beautiful people of Corfu. I would highly recommend the Aphroditi Apartments.
Sinead and Chris.

The most friendly welcoming people we have ever had on holiday. The pool and bar area is very good and clean and at night it is very quite. The place is set in a hilly area about 1.5km from paleo centre.
If your are going for a relaxing holiday this is the place. If you want to see more of the island, car hire is recommended as the apartments are a bit of a walk from the main centre.
There are 2 beaches within a 20 minute walk, one down the main road and one can be got to via the Acapulco pool next door to the Aphroditi, where there are steps down to a ladder into the sea (a 50m swim) or a via rocky coastal path that takes you to the beach proper (ask the bar staff).
If you have a car other recommended beaches are the deserted sandy beach by Lake Korission and the beach at Glyfada. Other places to visit are the views from Pelekas, any drive across the north where we saw snakes on the quieter roads, the coastal drive from Gardiki to Agios Gorids was breathtaking as was Angelokastro. Its is also worth a walk up to the pre historic caves at Gardiki and to watch the planes take off and land feet from your head by mouse island.

Good holiday, nice place. Not much to do in resort early in the season but car hire cheap enough so not a problem. We went from one end of island to the other in 2 and half hours and spent 3 days looking at other resorts but always glad to be back at the Aphrodite.
People at the Aphrodite Apartments are brilliant. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. A family run place - even do their own laundry! Food id great and plentiful. Nice and quiet early May. No kids running about (mine are grown up and just want my money now!) so very peaceful. The two male owners, Adonis and Stefanos are very much into football so would be great place for the blokes this World cup year! Magda and Elizabeth, their wives are lovely people. We had a welcome every time we went back from our travels and they are always ready for a natter!
We had a great time and will be going back later in the year for more! Fantastic place!
Everyone who was there the same time had a great time. You can't go wrong here!

Aphrodite are basic apartments but are well equipped what we loved about this accommodation.
And why we have booked to return this year is that the staff are so friendly and become firm friends Magda and Elizabeth cannot do enough for you and anyone who stays here will be delighted with their hospitality and standard of service.
If you are going to Paleo looking for raving nightlife foam parties etc forget it you should be in Kavos Paleo is for those who enjoy mixing with the friendly locals. Great Greek food and a relaxing time.

We really enjoyed our stay at these apartments. This was our first holiday to any of the Greek islands and we would love to return here. Paleokastritsa is breathtakingly beautiful. It would be impossible to be disappointed but please note it is not the ideal place for anyone with walking difficulties, as it is hilly. There are also a lot of steps and no pavements so you have to walk on the road, which is pretty uneven at the sides.
The Aphroditi is a small complex but the rooms were very clean, as was the pool and pool bar. The people who run the Aphroditi are lovely and friendly, very helpful. The snacks served at the bar are good and prices reasonable. I cannot think of anything negative to say, maybe just that it is a rather long walk to the main beach in Paleo, apart from that it is paradise!
