We have been to the Kristall twice. Second time as it was the only place with the rooms we needed.
We found the food OK but below Austrian 4 star standard. The bedrooms are good sized, however, the ones allocated to our party were in need of new soft furnishings.
We have yet to see a barman/barmaid even after 2 weeks in the hotel. If you need a drink you have to go find a member of staff who will get drinks from the back room!!
Public rooms are closed and staff gone by 10 PM. Will not return to this hotel.

The Kristall Hotel is a well run, very friendly hotel. The owner personally fronts the hotel reception all day and night and she is lovely as are all of her very friendly, efficient staff.
Food was lovely and plentiful, service was good, entertainment was laid on on special nights i.e New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, weekly farmers gala dinner buffet.
Pool is small but very nice and clean, rooms are lovely and roomy with plenty of closet space, and a small kitchen area if required, ideal hotel for families and couples alike.
Bathrooms are clean and spacious and shower are lovely and hot with good water pressure.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Kristall and would definitely go back there. A 10-15 minute walk from the gondola/nursery slopes, but a very nice walk through the town, not hard at all. 5 minutes to town centre.
Ski bus stops directly outside hotel and runs every 30 minutes.
No complaints at all about this hotel - would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday, we met some lovely people, who will be our friends for years to come. Our expectation of the hotel, based on the photo's was high, but once we arrived, we were disappointed. This is not a 4* in our opinion it should be downgraded to 2*/3* at the most. The rooms were basic and in need of updating, a far cry from the photos on the website. The food was plentiful, but not at the standard I would expect of a 4* hotel. A word of warning, do not move the furniture in the lobby! The hotel is locked up, lights out and no bar after 10pm! The resort is small but very family friendly, with plenty of blue runs for the kids. Ski school is a must, we were with Karl Maier, very professional and lots of fun.
Value for money, would return to Rauris, but choose a different hotel.
