This was our first time in Austria and we really struck lucky with our hotel. The Hotel Alpina is great, good size rooms, everywhere is kept really clean, an indoor as well as an outdoor pool, both heated. The food was great, choice of menu and plenty of it, you would never need to go hungry if you stayed here. The Fencl family who own the hotel can't do enough for you. Well done to them and all their staff!

This hotel deserves all the praise given. The room was spacious, the large bathroom had an equally large corner shower cubicle. Before leaving everyday there was an extensive breakfast buffet and we were able to return from skiing late afternoon and enjoy swimming in the indoor pool before having fabulous food for our evening meal with very pleasant staff to serve us - what more can you ask for. Although we did not take children there were several staying and as far as we could see they were well catered for.

Ms Peck, back in December, enjoyed exactly what we did.....the most hospitable people in the friendliest of hotels with the scrummiest of food. We count ourselves as the 'lucky bunnies'.
We too were skiing 'virgins' and the Karl Maier Schischule (Dominik) performed miracles to turn 12 of us, shaking and almost unable to stand on our skis on morning one, into brave(!) individuals willing to take on the full blue run from the top on the Friday morning (unaccompanied).
We may not have been 'Hermanators' or 'Dorfmeisters' but we felt we were! And every day it was 'home' to the oh so welcoming arms of the Fencl family (who didn't care that my German was so bad I should have been arrested!) and great rooms and food.
If you can, stay at the Alpina. You won't regret it!

If you get to stay here you are a lucky bunny...!!!
The food was great ,the patrons were approachable and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and the pool was a real real bonus.
We took three children,11,9,and 7 and the two older ones shared a room which worked very well.
We wish the skiing was taxing enough for us to go back as it was great value for money! The people on the slopes were helpful and tolerant which was great as we were skiing virgins! We could leave our stuff outside the lodge and it was there when we went back!
The town was very small with not enough shops for us to really window shop but hey, as moans go that’s not really one that matters! Don’t hesitate ...GO! You will love it if you are beginners or it’s your first time abroad!

We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. The rooms were very large and comfortable. Food was fresh and always looked and tasted appetising. Despite lots of snow outside, the hotel was very warm.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who did an exceptional job in managing it and their staff.
The indoor spa and pool was very good. There was plenty of room to leave skis and boots.
The village although not a lot there had all that you required for a holiday.
I would love to go back particularly in the summer.
