This is the 5th time we have stayed at the hotel. The hotel is excellent. The staff are very helpful and speak very good English. We have tried many other resorts and hotels but we keep coming back as this hotel and resort offers the full package in our opinion.
The rooms are in the process of being updated and we were fortunate to have a modernised room. It was very contemporary and extremely clean. There is daily maid service with the little touches like the folding of the nightclothes on the bed into different shapes each day. You are supplied with robes and towels to take to the leisure facilities.
The facilities in the hotel are excellent and valuable after a great day on the slopes. This is the first time our family have stayed in the hotel in March and we did notice it was busier than when we usually go in January. There was certainly more children around.
The spa facilities require residents to go naked, as is the custom in Austria, however it is possible to cover with the aid of a towel and a little discretion.
The food is wonderful. It is typically Austrian with lots of meat. I don't eat meat and i never had a problem with the options available. There were two younger children in our party ( age 11 and 8) and they could order children's food as they wished. The free softdrinks were an advantage with young children and adults alike.
The ski bus stops almost virtually outside and the gondola is a 5 minute bus ride away.
There are free afternoon snacks if you get back to the hotel for around 4 o clock.
There are few British in the hotel. This seems to make the stay more authentic.
The only disadvantage i can say is that they have not become a non smoking nation in Austria as of yet and it would appear that most Austrian/Tyrolean/Germans 'rauchen'. This may be an advantage for some but not for my party.

We have just returned from this most wonderful hotel. I read some previous comments but have to honestly say that this is a must for a family ski or non-ski holiday. The staff were delightful and it was so refreshing to be treated as a guest, the food was first class and they now do a kids menu most evenings (spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets and fries) which suited our 2 year old, but he also had the choice of the full meals too.
Our room was immaculate and cleaned every day. The spa and indoor pool is lovely. We found it very easy to get the ski bus (literally outside the front door) to Schlick 2000 ski school and ski runs. I was a little apprehensive at first as there are a lot of fellow nationals at the hotel but as Brits I never felt out of place at any time. In fact I felt that some of the staff took great pleasure in talking to us in English.
We flew from Bournemouth and on landing in Innsbruck were in our hotel within an hour which also makes this a must for anyone with small kids. When we had to leave at 5am this morning the hotel even offered to make us up a lunch to take with us. Nice touches like this make us want to go back, and we are looking at the brochure already, same hotel, but for two wonderful weeks in the snow Jan 2009. Well done Stubaierhof.

We've recently returned from a wonderful stay at the Stubaierhof Hotel in Fulpmes, Austria. We were a large group; six English families including eleven children. The staff did everything they could to make our break relaxing and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The menus and newsletter were all translated into a kind of English every day (quite amusing!). All the staff spoke reasonably good English so communication was not a problem. The menu was varied and delicious with several choices of main course and the one vegetarian in the group seemed to enjoy his food options. The children's menu was simpler but also good. My children enjoyed what they were given.
One major bonus was the fact that all the soft drinks were included in the price, so our spending money went a lot further than it would normally. We did miss the tea/coffee making facilities that you would get in an English hotel bedroom but, as it was freely available at no charge from the bar, it was only a minor niggle.
We were all staying in family suites and they were all spacious, very well-appointed and clean. The views from our hotel balcony were fabulous.
The swimming pool and wellness suite were a real bonus. The loungers were really comfortable and it was lovely to be able to relax and ease the tired muscles in such a pleasant environment. There were plenty of towels available on request so no need to fill your cases with towels.
The bus to the Schlick 2000 was only a very short walk from the hotel and they came every half an hour during peak times.
The hotel is fabulous and I highly recommend it.

My partner, myself and my two children spent a week at the Stubaierhoff and we found the hotel to be excellent. It is well worthy of its star rating. Beautiful decor in a slight traditional Austrian style, very friendly and helpful staff, exceptionally clean with maid service daily, she even used to fold our clothes that we had strewn through the room. Fresh towels daily, with extra towels for the spa, you certainly don’t need to pack any of your own.
The view from the room was lovely, and the room itself was lovely and spacious, and the beds were so comfy.
The spa area and pool were superb, a real treat, we used them daily and were a wonderful treat for relaxing the aching muscles. There was one or two rogue naked Germans, but it wasn’t offensive, after all you're in another country with different customs.
The one down fall was the evening menu. It offered three to four choices of each course, but it was very Austrian/German and the children’s menu was not too child friendly. But the buffet breakfast had plenty for everyone.
The Fulpmes ski area is great for families and beginners, but if you are more experienced I would recommend going to the stubaie glacier.
We all had a great holiday, and would go again.

Very well appointed and furnished.
High standard of cleanliness.
Adult cuisine of exceptional standard, children’s menu unsuitable for those not used to wide variety of gourmet dishes (i.e. Prefer nuggets and chips to consume soup!)
Hotel owner unnecessarily difficult when asked to organise a sleigh ride.
Health spa facilities nudity rules not strictly adhered to by residents nor enforced or addressed when we complained to the owners.
Owner appeared to be anti-British, preferring to spend time playing the perfect host to his fellow nationals.
Hotel is not (as described in the brochure and online) a four-minute walk from the ski lifts. It is necessary to take the ski-bus but the stop is just round the corner!
