Quality Hotel Times Square

Excellent Stay. Arrived, room wasn't ready but was upgraded to their largest room - which is by no means big - but for NYC standards - was excellent. This is a boutique hotel - so expect a small luxury hotel complete with a fantastic bar, great environment and retro modern lobby. Would stay at Stay again.

I just stayed at Stay Hotel this week and had a great time! I booked through Quikbook.com and received an amazing rate for a large room. I highly recommend paying a little extra for the large room - I wouldn't call it large but it was definitely comfortable. Not sure I would want a small or medium room here. This hotel calls itself a 4 star hotel , it deserves less than 2 stars. I recently stayed at the Stay hotel in nyc. I always book hotels in ny and i am always satisfied with the service and value of your properties, but this time i am very upset. During my stay, I stayed in both one of the smaller and medium rooms. The smaller room was tiny, but quite comfortable for just one person, the medium sized room was adequate for two people. The rooms were clean and nice however they were extremely noisy especially first thing in the morning when the house keeping staff were working. The hotel has two elevators, yet one was not working due to the construction going on in the hotel. This place has a great location (right near Times Sq and broadway). Our room was nice but small and clean. We paid for a double bed for 3 nights and our room was just nice for the two of us. There is only one tiny elevator that you have to wait forever for but because we were on the 4th floor - we walked up and down with no problems. It might be more of a problem for those staying up on the 8th floor!! My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Stay because she participated in the NYC Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. The hotel is right in the middle of everything in Times Square which made it super easy for us to subway anywhere we needed to go and for her to meet up with other walkers at a nearby shuttle stop and to come and go for the walk. Very unhappy with my stay. I don't know where they came up with the name but it was very appropriate as I had no choice but to stay otherwise I would have been charged due to their 24 hour cancellation charge....I never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. I travel all over the US and you have up to 6pm day of to cancel. However, I was told quite rudely by Tom the Manager that I would be charged and therefore I had to stay. what a horrible experience. my travel agent had already paid for the room and the hotel still charged my credit card for $2000 dollars. I only realised this when i went to use my creidt card and it declined!! to my SHOCK. it took $80 worth of phone calls, 4 hours and 2 days of worry to clear this problem. all I got was an apology. asked for my telephone calls to be paid for and they weren't. rang manager 3 times and left messages with no response. rooms were to small- couldn't fit 2 suitcases one elevator which broke down on... more

Just completed a stay at this hotel...157 W.47 Street Super location,about 1/2 block from Times Square. Formerly a Quality Hotel,and as a result renos were under way,but in no way did this distract from our stay. Our room was clean and quiet. It was in the center of the hotel and as such,we heard no street noise. Only one of the 2 elevators were in use,but this was due to mentioned renos,I'm sure that as reno's progress both will be in service. Would I stay there again...Yup.

My girlfriend and I stayed here Sept 12 to Sept 14, Girls weekend shopping trip. Hotel was very clean. It's currently undergoing renovations. Elevator VERY slow, stairs are very steep and narrow. Not a place to stay if you have health problems, i.e., knee, back, due to stairs. Had to use them many times due to elevator, and there is only one elevator.
