My wife and our 2 kids, 13 & 8, had a great time at the hotel.
The food was good, but it could have been a little hotter. There was always a wide variety of food to choose from.
The hotel was always clean but it could use a little maintenance. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The animation staff went out of their way to keep people entertained. I am sure it is not always easy appealing to such a wide audience. The week that we stayed, there were guests from England, Wales, Germany, Poland, Italy and U.S. and the animation staff tried their best to keep us all laughing at night and active with various sports competitions during the day.
The shuttle bus to the sister hotel and beach was also a plus.
The only negative things were the sports equipment. They could definitely use some new darts and board and I had to pay a surcharge for tennis balls but the tennis balls were extremely old, cracked, flat. They should use the surcharge money to update equipment.

We actually booked to go to another hotel in Kolymbia through Otbeach.com website but with only 24 hours notice we were told that our accommodation and resort had been changed. Not a very good start!
Needless to say we won't be using them again. This hotel is not of a 4 star standard by any stretch of the imagination. The Rodos Princess down the road and it's sister hotel is also a 4 star but deserves it's 4 star rating, there is no comparison between the facilities at the Princess Sun and the Rodos Princess. Whilst the staff at the Princess Sun did their best, they obviously did not have a sufficient budget to work with and all the entertainment was very amateur with the same people doing it each night. It really was more of a children's show and the children certainly seemed to enjoy it.
Although the food appeared to be nicely prepared, it was not kept hot in the trays and so if you did not arrive when a fresh batch was put out you had to eat it cold which was not very pleasant, especially when it is all inclusive you want to be able to eat good food. Again this does not seem to be the chef's fault but rather inadequate equipment to keep the food hot.
The pool bar was supposed to open at 10am each day but depended very much on the mood of the bar tender and often didn't open till nearer 11am. In all it appears that this hotel has been left behind and ignored by whoever should be taking more notice and this is a shame because it could be so much better without too much effort.
The location of this hotel is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There is a bus service to the Rodos Princess and to the beach but if you want to go to a taverna or to a village you would have to take a taxi. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as it is at the moment. If you are in a location which is away from tavernas and bars then you need to be in a hotel with good facilities, this isn't one of them.

Had a great week with my wife and 2 grand children. Food was good, also the entertainment people were good with the kids.
A very good hotel for families and the shuttle bus to the other hotel every half hour is good so you can see the other hotel and the beach.

This is a lovely resort, right on the beach. The nightlife wasn't very lively if that's what you want, but there is live entertainment plus a few different bars around the resort. The coastline is beautiful; you can walk round to secluded beaches. It is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday.
The rooms were cleaned daily and the whole resort was kept clean. The rooms are fairly big. You get some English channels on the TV. All the staff speaks English and were very friendly. There is a swimming pool onsite, and an outside Jacuzzi plus a bowling green.
It is a short walk from the town, and there is a supermarket onsite.
This is definitely somewhere I would go back to, but only on a family holiday, maybe not with a group of friends.

Very poor holiday. Had instant smash for tea with whole stewed rabbit. Food was always cold. Service at the hotel was poor waiting 20 mins plus to get a drink at the bar.
Mini bus to beach didn’t run for approx 5 hours in a day, at split times.
Staff unfriendly and in the middle of nowhere.
Need to be rather broad minded to enjoy evening entertainment.
All in all a disaster, couldn’t wait to get home.

Hotel was very clean, rooms clean, staff were very friendly, food was excellent. I would point out that if you are a typical Brit looking for English food then this is not the place for you, especially if you don't like trying things.
This hotel is very family friendly and encourages family entertainment till late in the evening ensuring the adults get some time out to.
Overall we were very pleased with the hotel.

If you are German and over 90 this is the place for you. An absolute hellhole!
I have 2 kids, 2 and 6yrs old, after moaning there was nothing for kids they got this girl to teach my 2yr old darts... not very good... then she said she would give him a tattoo... nice... pulled a pen from her pocket and drew something on his arm!
The food was poor, drinks options limited: vodka and coke, vodka and orange squash or vodka and lemonade. In the dining area everyone was smoking around my asthmatic daughter.
The evening entertainment was great if you’re in a coma and German. Our room, so dark even with the light on full, 10-watt bulbs. Ants all over and the bed had a metal mattress!
There is nothing I can say was nice except when we moved to the Doretta hotel fantastic. The island is a rip off. The airport duty free is more expensive than the little shops for every thing.

Excellent hotel situated on a hill overlooking the sea beautiful views rooms spacious plenty of wardrobe space also fridge to keep your drinks cool, Friendly & courteous staff
Large swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds, outside snack bar by pool serving drinks and snacks. The only downside was that the food was not hot would suggest that the hotel purchase a couple of microwaves for those who like their food hot. Free bus service to beach every 1/2 HR sunbeds and snack bar free

What a great find! We booked this hotel last minute hoping for a week's rest and relaxation. We weren't disappointed. Fabulous, medium sized hotel (147 rooms) with interesting layout with outdoor corridors stepped at different levels. Excellent bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space etc with a modern bathroom and we had a particularly great view, overlooking the pool and the sea. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout. The food was really good and the restaurant operation was very slick, with (mostly) friendly staff, plenty of choice although not always hot and there was always fresh bread, salads and fruit available at mealtime, with pasta available at every meal so the kids were happy - no fish fingers or baked beans in sight for the whole week. The swimming pool was great - quite large for the size of the hotel - and a separate paddling pool for toddlers. Plenty of sun beds and parasols with no reserving of sun beds (despite the large number of Germans there) - which made a refreshing change. There is also a small playground for the kids. The multi-lingual entertainment team were a great bunch and made a point of getting to know everyone personally. There was no pressure to join in and they worked particularly hard at making sure all guests of different nationalities were included. The kids club offered indoor activities in the afternoons such as arts and crafts, board games, card games etc for all ages. There was also the usual daily outdoor games, water polo, darts, volleyball, football, aqua aerobics etc and daft poolside games to keep everyone entertained. There was a kids disco every night where they could learn some dance moves, followed by entertainment for the adults (e.g., quiz, variety show etc). The hotel is high up on a hill, away from the main road and beach. It is a steep walk back up although there is a free bus available to and from sister hotel's private beach throughout the day. I would highly recommend this hotel although, if you like to stroll after dinner or browse round the shops, then this isn't for you. There is absolutely nothing else to do here but the hotel is so good, that we didn't feel the need to go looking for anything more. It is definitely a family hotel and not for single sex groups.

The hotel staff were great and did what they could to make your stay excellent. The view was breath taking and the hotel was clean and presentable.
The swimming pool is a good size and was never over crowded. The only let down was the other guests (Germans and other European citizens) but the whole holiday was amazing and I feel the hotel did a lot to complement it.
The entertainment staff are great to and there was always a song and dance going on, they organised some great night shows to.
Age groups are more 30+ & family’s visiting this hotel.
Def a place to go for some head down relaxing holiday.

was going to put 0 out of ten but there wasnt one! this hotel caters for germans onlyWe went in a party of 6 ages ranging from 17/26 the hotel was nice and clean and the bar staff were very nice. The receptionist needs to go on a coarse to on how to deal with people she is not people friendly at all. she threatened to ring the police if we made any noise at all. there was no evening entertainment unless you like bingo no one could understand the language. The food was disgusting we had to eat out all the time. there was no english food at all offered. the restaurant smelt of sweaty feet
