Myself and my partner stayed here in March this year for 7 days and I could not find one fault with this hotel!!!! This was my third visit to Vegas and my second to this hotel, and my partners first visit full stop. Decor in casino/lobby and food court is dated but suited... more

We found a good deal for 3 nights at the Excalibur, even though we were there over the weekend (most other casinos seemed to double the price for weekends). We checked in easily and quickly, and were able to park our car just outside the block we were staying in. Our room... more

Although this casino/hotel is one of the older casinos on the strip, we found our time there a good experience. We chose the hotel as it was very reasonably priced, but still on the strip. The room was huge, as was the bathroom! It could have done with some updating, but... more

We stayed in Las Vegas for 5 nights, we wanted to stay in Treasure Island, but as we were arriving on Friday night the price was double the standard price. We therefore decided to stay the first two nights at the Excalibur before moving to TI when it was cheaper. This also... more

This hotel is excellent and has a brilliant location at the busy and popular end of the strip. New York, New York, MGM Grand, and the Luxor are all right next to the hotel with easy access to loads of big attractions. The casino is really good with a wide variety of slots... more

Las Vegas really is the place to be for a truly surreal holiday. It is unlike any other place we have been to and the fun starts as soon as you get off the plane. We flew Virgin both ways and they really took care of us, both in the air and getting to our hotel. We stayed... more

Great Family hotel and Casino. Children of all ages were welcomed with a smile. Lots of restaurants to visit including a food court with McDonalds pizza hut etc. Las Vegas can be a child friendly holiday with many activities to do and see. Standard of hotel rooms was... more

Glitz, glamour and the neon lights of Las Vegas, not the place to take 2 young kids (5 & 18 months), well not true. We took our 2 in March this year and what a fantastic time we had, from the moment we got onboard the Virgin direct flight from Gatwick everything was... more

Felt like being in Disneyland!
The reviews I read prior to going really helped! I did the express check-in and when we arrived at the hotel, walked straight to the counter and was checked in! The staff that we did encounter was very pleasant! We were very impressed with the hotel! The strip was much cleaner than I had imagined! The room was cleaned and serviced everyday throughout our stay! The slot machines were not as "loose" as i expected them to be in Vegas, but we did win a little money. Although my boyfriend and I didn't visit the chapel - we did realize just how much we REALLY love each other and can't do without the other in Vegas! He proposed! Okay - I must admit that I had some reservations after reading other reviews/opinions and was about to cancel our trip - but now I know that they are just that "opinions" and everyone is entitled to theirs! We are planning to return next year! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Excalibur and our time in Vegas!
Never again!
We used to think there was some sort of minimum standard for hotels in general. That was before we stayed at Excalibur. This hotel is absolutely unacceptable! Unless, of course, you prefer bed linens with cigarette burn holes. There was no bath tub and the shower had very tacky plexi-glass doors (70s style!). Also, the toilet paper is about 30 miles from the toilet--impossible to reach without getting up. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling where they had installed a fire sprinkler and never come back to patch it. The ceiling (remember that old popcorn texture?Still there.) was sagging in the corner of our room. There was no thermostat, and the "air conditioner" can be set on "Low" or "High", but Low doesn't work. The high setting sounds kind of like a lawnmower-makes sleeping difficult at best. We thought we might just be spoiled, but everyone we told (cab drivers, waitstaff, etc) laughed at us for staying there. One hotel employee called it a "cinder block prison" and told us he wouldn't allow his family to stay there (even though he gets FREE rooms!). We switched hotels as soon as we could!
Tournament of Kings
This is a fantastic dinner show! Merlin ,jester ,King Arthur, and Kings from the nations, acrobats, jousting, maidens, and GREAT looking cast, horses ect. The food was great, it is a show well worth the money, and you get a wonderful meal . If you are into the days of "King Arthur and the round table" midevil fares, this show is for you!
The basics, strictly the basics
We just returned from Vegas last week, Left all our money there, but had a great time anyway. Our stay at the Excaliber was fine, nothing special, but ok. Rooms very basic, but don't spend a heck of a lot of time in them anyway, good location so if the price was right we'd stay here again.
Needs Updating, Cleaning and better buffet
I was married at the Excalibur two weeks ago. Our stay spanned from Sept 5 - 11. The hotel is not very clean. The first morning we woke up, we both had sinus problems. My parents were traveling with us. My Dad took apart the air conditioner in the room and it was disgusting. It was filled with what looked like mold and filth. He cleaned out his air conditioner and they didn't have any issues for the rest of their stay. The casino was not loose at all. The buffet is on par with Old Country Buffet which means its about C- food.If you are going to come to Las Vegas, stay at a different hotel and eat from the hundreds of nice buffets on the strip, the buffet at the Excal is completely worth missing.I brought 14 guests to the wedding, all stayed at the Excalibur. We were not given any comps or upgrades even on our wedding night. Overall, for a few extra dollars per night, you could stay at a better hotel with a more northern location and be much happier. My personal picks : Bellagio rooms are amazing :) But there are plenty of places to stay on the strip with similar prices and much better accomodations (Sahara is nice too) One side note, my sister and I went on the magic motion ride in the basement, it was fun!
Will always regret choosing this casino for first trip to vegas
Went to vegas for the first time at New Years (5 nites). Planned the trip for months and I picked this casino based on price so I will admit I got what I paid for. The furnishing are on par with motel 6. We had to call maint. the first not to fix the toilet. The resturants are not worth mentioning. We did win some money though.
Room service caterers expect big tips.
Was there Aug/26/03, good price for last minute booking, the most fun pool ever - kids were soaked all the time. Great for children a whole floor of arcade and games. Lots of places to eat inside the hotel. But the room service caterers don't carry much change in case you want to pay cash, if paid w/large bills they expect your change as a tip. Maybe hotel needs more employees to cater room service. Other than that the place is very neat.
Disgracful !!!
Probably the worst Hotel we have been to in years. My nephew was married there this week. 24th Aug 2003. Mother in Laws purse was stolen from inside the chapel. They charged my Nephew for a non-smoking room and put him in one anyway. He booked in and payed for 2 nights. They never resrerved the second night and he had to leave at 11 P.M the following day! Although the credit card was charged. They would not allow him to see a manager. His bride cried the whole day untill the people at San Remo upgraded them and smoothed it over. I have never witnessed such disgrace, lack of help, rudeness, and non-caring employees...ever. I'd suggest if you are going to stay there, you might dig a little deeper...dissapointment awaits at the the EXCALIBUR! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
vegas was great but forget the dam tour
We went to Vegas July 20-26. Great flight on America West Airlines. Stayed at Excalibur. Would stay there again. We rented a car and drove out to the Hoover Dam. Beautiful mountains and the drive through the dam was great. BUT DON'T TAKE THE DAM TOUR. Big ripoff. Ten bucks to see a five min. movie and to ride on an elevator with 80 others down to see generators.
Disappointed!
My wife and two children(ages 14 & 11) stayed there two nights the first week of August. Basic layout of the hotel is terrible. Guest must navigate the casino floor with luggage while checking in or out while weaving in and out of people. Room was below-par. Price was the only factor to stay there, although after touring all of the other casino/hotels, I would pay more and stay somewhere else.
