Stayed at the grand union hotel for four nights in november 2007 with my friend. We were looking for a budget hotel in New York and had read mixed reviews about this hotel but we could not fault it. The location was excellent, being only a few minutes walk to the Empire state building and thatre district, maceys etc. The Hotel was very clean, rooms small but adequate, just what you would expect in New York. There was a diner next door which was extremely cheap and the food was delicious. The reception staff were always very pleasant and helpful as we hadnt a clue about alot of things. I would definately stay here again when I re- visit this wonderful city.
