Orleans Hotel And Casino

Excellent - hotel was recommended by some American friends who are regulars at this hotel - very nice, quiet and comfortable.
Rooms are big and some are a long walk from the lifts so can take 10 mins to get down to the main floor. Restaurants are excellent value and I had nothing but good service and nice food during the week that I stayed.
This is not a hotel to be glamorous in or to be seen at - but you can get a cab to the strip for that sort of thing and for shopping as there are no shops nearby. The shop in the hotel is small and nothing special - if you want hotel shops stay on the strip and get overcharged instead!
I had a wonderful holiday there and will definitely go back - no desire to stay at any other hotel in Vegas.

Stayed here as visiting Las Vegas for a family wedding. Not a problem being just off strip. The room was excellent, very clean, big and comfortable, maid came in every day to make beds and change towels etc.
The all you can eat buffet is excellent and great value, half the price of many hotels on the strip. Not as glitzy as some strip hotels but great value, staff very friendly except the security guards. I was standing with my four children, buggy and four suitcases just outside the reception whilst my husband settled the bill and was asked to move on as I was near to the gaming machines. I tried to explain the situation but Mr Big seemed to take his job just a bit too seriously and asked me to move on, not an easy task! He did not, I might add offer to help, Have a nice day!!
All in all a great stay I would book here again. Went to Las Vegas with lots of other family members who stayed at various hotels, so visited many of the famous ones on the strip and the rooms where comparable to The Orleans only twice as much money.
