We recently stayed at Planet Hollywood for 4nights during late October. We had a Twin Queen Room and my parents had a Double King Room. We found the room very acceptable and to a high standard. The beds were comfortable, with clean laundry every morning and always clean and... more

Check-in was thankfully quick and easy after a long flight from Manchester. Our room was spacious and the bed was about 7 foot square! Really comfy too. The large bathroom had a bath, shower cubicle and separate toilet in small room. The room facilities were large flat... more

I have just returned from Planet Hollywood and can honestly say this place is amazing! We flew with U.S Airways from Manchester via philadelphia so the flight to get there was long but when landing at McCarran Airport you get views over the strip and this brought us back... more

We stayed here over New Year. The rooms were very nice and clean. But beware. They catch you in the lobby to go across the road and buy a time share. They seem to target familes. If you have about four hours spare its ideal. But if you have not not ideal. Apart from that... more

We went to Las Vegas as a part of our two week honeymoon and what an experience it was! New York was our first stop 6 1/2 hours flying time from Shannon Ireland. It was a very busy city to busy for us, but it was a city that always wanted to go to. We got to see all the... more

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort. I was a bit unsure after reading many bad reports but was impressed with what we found. Taxi journey to the hotel took 10 mins and the check-in wasn't too bad. After reading various ways to get a better room... more

Flights booked though MyTravel and hotel independently. Stayed at Planet Hollywood for two weeks (yes, you read it right - the Americans we spoke to think we're crazy to stay for that long as most do long weekends or 4-5 days at most). Hotel was still in the transition from... more

Huge hotel, casino and leisure complex in an excellent location on the Strip across the road from the Bellagio. The hotel is fairly reasonably priced and because the hotel is fairly new the rooms are in good order. The rooms are not as big as in some other Las Vegas... more

THE BEST VALUE ON THE STRIP
I stayed at the Aladdin 4/23/03-4/25/03. I was very glad I stayed there. It costed less than $100 a night and it was right on the strip. All of the staff was very friendly. They had about 10 staff members checking in, so the line went very fast. Plus they gave you valueable coupons with your key. It saved me about $20 on a whole. The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathrooms were unbelievable. Marble tiles and countertop, seperate deep tub, and a seperate shower. It was a bathroom you would expect to see in a suite. I was a bit disappointed with the pool. It closed at 6PM and one of the two pools was closed so it was very crowded. I would highly recomend their Italian restaurant. The waiter, Billy, was super friendly. The views of the Bolagio fountains was brilliant. It was the best restaurant i've ever eaten at. The only negative was that the parking was very far away from the hotel.
Very nice
Stayed here one night in april 2003 after leavingthe Luxor. Much better. Service at front desk and housekeeping were excellent. Nice new rooms, computer!, huge marble baths with separate soaking tub. Easy, quick to get in and out of - taxis, parking, check in are conventiently accessed from a back, lower level, so you don't waste time sitting in traffic on Las Vegas Blvd. Step out the front door and you are right on the Strip. Casino is nicely arranged - music from bands on the mezzanine spills out over the casino. Buffet was superb every time - great service, well-staffed, and every food item was perfect, not that sat-too-long-on-the-steam-table look. No cheap food places, though - even the zanzibar cafe is middle-range in price (food is good).
Service Excellent-Dealers a little on the slow side
Great Experience with the Service and especially with Karen @ the Concierge Desk. She was truely remarkable with her personal interest in our stay and desires. The Aladdin will benefit if the dealers (specifically the Craps dealers) are a bit more up beat but I must say they are MUCH better than at the MGM and the Bellagio where they make an average bettor like me fell I must pay an admittance to play at their tables. All in all, The Spice Market is truely one of the best Buffet's on the strip, shopping is great with Desert Passage. When the new owner takes over I suggest expanding the second floor (M). Alot of wasted space that could be turned over into cash generating areas. [Most of all though, find a niche' and market to that niche'. You have a great product, good people and a great location.]
A fabulous time at the Aladdin
We just got back from our trip to vegas stayed from 4/9-4/11 at the Aladdin. This was our first stay at this hotel, and compared to out previous stays at the Luxor and Mandalay Bay,Aladdin was far better. The entire hotel staff from valet to room service was extremly prompt and accomidating. Aladdins rooms were average no better or worse than the previous hotels mentioned. The food at the Aladdin was spectacular, we ate the Spice Market Buffet the first night and I am not a buffet person but it was Fabulous! The next night we ate at P.F. Changs and had a wonderful meal there, our hat's off to Anthony the Manager he took great care of us. All around we have not one bad thing to say about our stay at the Aladdin and a planning a trip back in October 2003.
Great Getaway
I came to Vegas to get away from the news. My husband is currently in Kuwait and I needed some rest and relaxation. I am also a graduate from Va Tech, with a Hotel Management degree. I was extremely impressed with this hotel. My standards are pretty high. Valet parking was excellent, the check-in not so great(the desk clerk gave me a key and told me the elevator was to the left) the bell-hop made up for the lack of information from the desk clerk. Our room was very clean, quiet and spacious. My 3 year son loved the sunken tub. I liked the internet access from my room for only $10.00 for 24hrs. For a nice getaway this hotel was perfect. Located in the middle of the strip, beautiful view of the Bellagio hotel, and the mall underneath was nice. I would stay again and can't wait to come back with my husband. However, the moment of truth with the front desk clerk was not favorable. I am still willing to give this hotel another chance. Other employees I came in contact with were very informative and friendly which made up for the lack of interest at the front desk. Some improvements are needed for the Aladdin to keep their four star rating as competition on the strip is too numerous to have their service slide, especially at the front desk.
Superior Resort
We stayed at the Aladdin Resort and Casino in Las Vegas the week of 3/24/03. We were their to celebrate our youngest daughters 21st birthday. All I can say is this was one of the most plesant experiences we have ever had with accomodations. I had read some bad reviews regarding the Aladdin on the web prior to our stay there. Those people who expressed a bad experience at the Aladdin are either people who have unreasonable expectations which are much higher then they should be. If people expect a hotel room worth $500 per night then they should stay somewhere that will cost that. We arrived several hours before check in time and the Bell Desk was very accomodating by keeping our bags for us until check in time so we could go exploring. We found our hotel room beautiful, very large with an awesome bath and a great view of the strip. The staff was very accomodating and most eager to please. The cost of the room was very reasonable. We were told upon check in there were other larger rooms we could upgrade to for an additional cost. We felt the room we stayed in was deserving of the price they were charging for it. The buffet at the Aladdin had the best selection of food for the price and we felt was much better then the buffet at the Mirage or Paris Hotels which we also ate at. My daughter fell ill with the flu while we were there and the staff in the Zanzabar Restaurant were very willing to help provide hot tea, soup and crackers for her. Upon check out the Bell Desk again kept our bags for us until we had to leave for the airport so we weren't bothered with dragging our luggage with us. We would stay there again and would certainly recommend the facility to others.
Loved the Alladin
Since my wife and myself don't vacation often and we were celebrating our Anniversary, I wanted the most bang for the buck in Las Vegas, NV. We picked the Alladin Hotel and Casino after much research, reading and talking with folks, whom vacationed in Las Vegas and some whom reside there. Oddly enough, the Aladdin hotel wasn't everyone's first pick, however they considered their visit fine and without complaints. The feedback from all the other hotel/casino's had both "pro's and con's"! My first impression of the Alladin was wow, nice! Then to sweeten things a bit, they gave us a complementary room upgrade. This room was at the end of the hallway, but it was awesome with a big screen TV, hot tub, 2 baths and great views of the strip! I actually had to call down to the front desk make sure we had the right room for $79/night. It was right and from that point on the stay was incredible. The food was absolutely the best, especially dinner at Tremezzo and the breakfast buffet on the lower level. All employees were courteous and helpful. Gambling was the best experience I've ever had...no pressure, ventilation was great, plenty of space at machines and tables, free lessons on the tables by the pros. Plenty of things to see and do and if shopping is your bag then this is heaven. We did get to see all the other popular hotel and casinos, but with everything considered they just didn't add up to the Alladin Hotel! Loved the Alladin Hotel and Casino.
Aladdin needs a genie
My friend and I stayed at the Aladdin for only one night on Feb. 24, 2003. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay. First the compliments. the rooms are nicely furnished and the bathroom is wonderful. I loved the separate oversized bath and shower and the privacy of the separate toilet. It really is wonderful when you are staying with a guy. The decor was nice but it seemed lacking a bit. The location was wonderful since you are right on the strip and the casino is one of the better ones I've seen even if eventually they all start looking alike. Now the complaints. The bed was superhard it was like sleeping on the floor. It was almost like being in prison if you didn't pay for anything extra like internet, water, tv, etc. We had a 25" tv but only 5 useless channels. The power went out all through out the night so we accidentally missed our 11am check out time that if you are late you will have to pay the fine. The courtesy booth wasn't too courteous if you did not apply for a memebership. We spent 15 minutes trying to find the check in lobby where we spent another 40 minutes standing in line trying to check in. You could definately hear the noise from the other rooms. We were woken up a few times by drunk hotel guests just walking down the hallway or opening their doors.
Loved the Aladdin
Went to Las Vegas for a little 3 day/2 night getaway with my daughter on spring break - stayed at the Aladdin and loved it. They let us check in before check-in time and they kept our bags for us on check-out day because we weren't leaving until that evening. The room was nice, plenty of room, nice bathroom - who spends much time in the room anyway!! Didn't do much gambling so can't comment on that. The Desert Passage was wonderful even the food at the buffet we found to be good. Couldn't believe how much there was to see and do. Would definitely go back again.
Decent Hotel for the price, but nothing special
My son and I stayed here in June 02. To start off, check-in took an hour and a half. That was unacceptable. There were only around 30 people in line, but the hotel had 2 people working the counter with one person sitting around doing nothing! The rooms are nice here, large and spacious, with a great huge bathroom. A nice plus was the computer, while access to it cost 10$, it was nice to have high speed net access on a flat screen monitor. The pool sucked. Two very very very small pools with very few chairs. Most of the pool area is bare concrete, though the pool cafe had a great menu with prices. If you can find a good deal here, then stay, it was not too bad, but usually there are better deals (Monte Carlo and Flamingo ring a bell).
