Muhle Hotel

We have just returned from a week skiing in Obergurgl, staying at the Muhle hotel. There were 5 adults and one child of 4 years.
The hotel is 4 star plus in every aspect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing, and the surroundings were beautiful in and out.
There is a ski bus that runs every 10 minutes from outside the hotel, and is about 5 minutes to the slopes.
On one instance the ski bus driver didn’t stop outside the hotel on the way back from the slopes because he was distracted by an irate woman. By the time we had realised we were already at the next stop, a good 20 minute walk back to the hotel. He told us a bus would be along to take us back. We asked in the local ski shop what time the last bus was back to Obergurgl, to be told it had already gone. He asked what hotel we were staying at and if we wanted a taxi back. We had no choice and said yes, assuming it was going to cost an arm and a leg to get back. 10 minutes later a minibus from Muhle hotel turned up and took us back at no cost.
We would not hesitate to return and look forward to many holidays in future years.
The only negative we encountered was the fact that the heating system is so efficient that we had to ask for the temperature to be turned down in the rooms as it was stifling. They did as we requested, yet we still had to sleep with a window open. Not a bad holiday at all if that is the only thing we can moan about (rather too hot than too cold).
