Fan-dabby-dabby-dozy!!

Picking this up as a late deal, we (Myself and my newly married wife at the time, as this was to be our honeymoon), didn't think anything of what we were expecting.
To be perfectly honest, the apartment was fantastic, small kitchenette and lounge looking on to the pool area outside, spacious bedroom with a view straight out to the beautiful blue sea over the cliffs. Shower and w/c. Always kept in tip top condition by the cleaners.
Never used any of the facilities here for children, as we dont have any, so cannot say much for them, but what I did see from kids happy faces as they were playing with the resort staff, they certainly were enjoying it.
The bar staff were certainly friendly enough, and they were appreciative that we were at least trying to learn the native language.
We sampled the food here in the morning, as we did tend to eat out a lot at other times, but what we did experience of it, we liked a lot, especially the cooked breakfasts, which you just helped yourself to when you wanted.
loved seeing the tourist train ride by nearly every hour for those that wanted a tour around the towns of cala'n blanes/cala'n forcat.
Entertainment was certainly second to none, an elvis tribute, a comedian flown in from england. nightly kids entertainment before the adults, and even the crowd pleasing audience participation games (groan!).
Overall must say, it was an exceptional holiday/honeymoon.

This was the best holiday ever. Great weather great accomodation. The reps here were the best very friendly and got to know them all. Went with hubby and we both in our 60's and son 27 and grandson 19. The food in the restaurant cant fault and the waitors were amazing. The entertainment was brilliant all day and till late night. Go to Pedros night out had a great time. Our son and grandson spent a lot of time at Jimmy Hills a short walk away a favorite music bar didnt see them till they came home the next morning. No hold ups at the airport for a change and def going back there asap. Tho we didnt have any young kids with us the kids there had a great time too, kids club and they were all out dancing till late. Loved it.

My name is Erika Newton i am 14 years old and i just have to say that the Menorca Sea Club is the best place that i have been to since i last went to menorca.
THE ENTERTAINMENT DURING DAY:::::-there was amazing and suitable for all ages. the entertainment was all day. from the reps playing games with kids and adults. eg: football, tennis, frizzy hoops, schuls back, water polo, mini golf, giant jenga, .... and many more. in the afternoon there was pool side bingo where you could win a bottle of bubbly.
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT:::::- the evening entertainment was fuynny and entertaining, there was something different every night, eg : Fruiti Tutti (parrot show), magician, karioke, and many more.
FOOD:::::- the food @ the actual resort was fab. very delicious. there are also lots of bars and reastaurants around the place eg: Daisys is a lovely place, and the burger king abt 5 mins down the road.
SHOPS:::::- the shops there are brilliant, cheap (but not to cheap or expensive) and easy to access. but if ur a smoker like my parents then u can get them from Ba Ba Blue or Ciutadella or Mao (mahon)
HOTEL ITS SELF:::::- the hotel its self is magnificent but it can get a little chilly during the evening, so the best thing is to take something warm for then. are spectacular with a sea view the sunset its self i magnificent on its own. you have plenty of storgae room and just room its self.
I would definitaly

We loved it. probs one of the best holidays we have ever been on. I went with 2 children and my husband. this is a great place for families and not a great lace for a couple as it has live entertainment every night and a kids disco. The rooms are very well equiped and have every thing you would need for a week or 2. The beds are not the comfiest but they are ok as you probs wont be in them for along time the sofa beds are very comfy and we were amazed that they were comfier than the beds. Ther is loads of things there for kids so dont worry they will be very oqupied as there is a kids bingo every other day.The food is great even though we only had it on the last night.

The previous reports give a pretty accurate picture of the resort apart from understating how professonal, friendly, helpful and polite the site reps were. The comment about the resort bar prices being a little high was an understatement! Local beer €4.70! which dropped to €3.75 then to €3.00 during our 2 week stay but the spirit with mixer prices remained constant at €4.60. The resort shop prices are also high. Little swimmers were €16.99 a pack and bread €2.99. In general most items are between 2 - 4 times what they would cost at home although they can be purchased off the resort at a better price.

just arrived back today, had a fantastic time, went with my husband and two boys aged 6 and 3, they absolutely loved the kids club, we've never used one before but here we felt comfortable to leave them and it was easy to check on them and make sure they were ok, they had chocolate parties, film nights and pirate adventures and we had a bit of peace and quiet!! pools lovely and room was great with a lovely sea view. My eldest also had swimming lessons through the swim academy which cost £25 for five 30min sessions which was well worth the money. Beaches were ok, pretty but nicest one was 30min walk and water was full of jellyfish so didn't feel comfortable letting the kids in the water. Restaurants and drinks aren't cheap but the forum restaurant which was on the left hand side of the road as you walk into town before you get to burgerking had a lovely 3 course meal for £8 and wine was about £5 a bottle.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would go back again tomorrow.

TOP BANNANA

We (couple and 17 month old girl) have just returned (yesterday) from these appartments.
I must say that overall our experience could be summed up as.... TOP BANNANA !
The rooms were well equiped and clean
The pool and splash park were a fave for my little girl
The other guests were friendly and fun to chat with
The bar prices had come down whilst we were there, due to complaints I am guessing?
The staff were great at the kids club (bar one miserable one - but we will forget that) our girl was looked after well and had a ball for an hour and a half whilst we played pool by the pool.
The local stretch from the appartments to the 2 beaches is a mix of cheesy gift markets, brit syle pubs/ restaurants dotted with a few cracking places to eat. Our favourite by far was the 'Las Brasas' left at the man with no arms roundabout, 50 yds up on the right down a lane - have the roast Suckling pig - unbelievable ! family run tapas
Cala'n Blanes beach (20 min walk) is great. watch for jelly fish!
If you are going there with kids - you will LOVE it.
See you
Glen

My holiday at Sea Club was very nice and i enjoyed it alot. The appartments was very nice and the swimming pool was amazing. But the only let down i thought was the drinks at the hotel bar was a bit expensive. But over all my holiday was very good. Menorca has some very nice views to look at. I am thinking about coming back soon.

We have just returned from a one week stay at the Sea Club Apts in Cala N Forcat. We chose this holiday on the back of the majority of reviews in this forum and on the whole. it wasn't bad.
Depends of course what you are looking for !!!!
We as a family of two adults, one 4 year old and a 6 month old baby had booked a one bedroom appartment and I have to say I was sorely dissapointed with the size of the living area of the apartment. The bedroom was fine, the whole appartment was air-conditioned with a ceiling fan. The living room come kitchen wasn't big enough to swing a cat in never mind live in which I suppose is the idea of self catering.
The bedroom is two single beds together for the adults and the second bed for the kid is a pull out bed in the living room underneath the sofa.
I certainly wouldn't have my kid sleeping next to the front door whilst we were in a bedroom at the back of the appartment.
That said, the cleanliness of the apartment was spot on with towel change and maid service every day apart from the day prior to leaving.
The weather was not the best but apparently only one person has the power to control this and he must have been holidaying somewhere else as the weather was not the best. Couple of days rain and a few thunder and lightening storms (mainly during the night).
Cala n Forcat itself is lifeless with absoloutely nothing to do but Cala N Blane is only a brisk 10 minute walk away and this area is jam packed with eating places but most of all activities for your kids are abundant.
Hire your car from outwith the hotel reps and you will get it for half the price with all insurances included and a zero excess in case of bumps.
Found this Island to be a very safe environment for you and your family and could relax in this belief.
Unfortunately if there was every an Island where the statement " ONCE YOU HAVE SEEN ONE BIT, YOU HAVE SEEN IT ALL" applies then this would be one of them.
The beach at Cala N Forcat appears to be shared with Cala N Blane and is absolutely terrible. It is a decent walk to the beach along a rugged track, not suitable for buggies, to a tiny beach ( about 30 - 40m wide) two portaloos and a snack bar. Best stay pool side would be my advise.
Finally despite all the negatives, the Island is clean, friendly and would suit families with young kids.
Hope this review helps but please condiser this is only the view of myself and my family and is only posted to share our experience in order that you can make an informed decision on your holiday choice.
Thanks
Ray

we stayed here for 10 nights with our 17 month old son and had a brilliant time.
totally family orientated and the menorcan staff couldn't do enough.
we were lucky to get a ground floor apt which had the splash park right in front of us (which our son loved) and it also meant that while our son was in bed, we could still watch the stage entertainment.
he also loved the kids mini disco of an evening and the kids club.
the playpark wasn't up to much (very small and dated) but this didn't bother us as we were either out most of the time or by the pool.
we hired a car as we found the local beach was very small but the beaches we liked were in cala n bosch and galdana...absolutely beautiful.
cala n forcat has many wonderful restaurants and shops. there is a waterpark in the town but we didn't use it as our boy was too young for the slides etc
the restaurants in the hotel do really lovely food too. i always found something i liked and i'm a very fussy eater.
maids came in daily and cleaned properly too
we left them a tip at the end as they were fab
all in all a brilliant holiday and will return someday
