Los Gavilanes Apartments

We knew of the location at Isla Canela through friends and offered the chance to rent an apartment at the Golf course.
This arrangement didn’t happen but were given the chance to rent this apartment at the beach. We can only say if you wish a quiet and relaxing holiday this is for you. The apartment is on the fourth floor accessed by lift (for those more energetic you can use the stairs) superb views across the river into Portugal and wonderful sunsets. Key entry to Car parking and the complex which gives feeling of security. Good size pool although unheated.
The apartment is well furnished and a lot of attention is made to small details which makes it a home from home.
Easy access from Faro and Sevilla airports and directions supplied made finding the complex very easy. We will certainly think about making a return visit in the future.

We stayed at the Los Gavilanes Apartments which were ideally placed 80mtres from the lovely Isla Canela Beach.
The apartment was equipped to a very high standard and very tastefully decorated throughout. The whole complex surrounded a very well maintained and good size swimming pool. The gardens were very well kept within a secure environment.
We had a thoroughly restful and relaxing holiday and would highly recommend these apartments.

Richard and I spent 2 super weeks in Isla Canela in this new fourth floor apartment which could be accessed by a lift and or stairs.
The owners have fitted this apartment with everything that you would need to enjoy your stay including enough sun loungers for sitting around the lovely pool. Our favourite space was the balcony which got the sunshine later on in the day with it's view of the beach and beyond and the added excitement of the kite-surfers.
We enjoyed nothing more than having a drink after a hard day on the beach or being out and about before getting ready to go out for dinner. If, like us you enjoy going out for dinner on holiday you would certainly need a car to experience more restaurants.

This fourth floor apartment is roomy, airy, very well equipped and appointed, with a large balcony giving lovely views west towards Portugal or south towards the sea. There is a large communal pool area and fairly large swimming pool which never got crowded. The surrounding gardens are well kept, and, to the rear, there is a large car parking area. The whole complex is secure, with key access for residents only.
About 80 metres away is the Atlantic ocean bordered by a wide sandy beach where it is possible to hire pedaloes and windsurfers.
Within walking distance are a variety of shops, a couple of supermarkets, bars and restaurants which means that it isn’t absolutely necessary to have a car. However, to get the most out of the area, a car is recommended.
With easy access from Faro airport, this is definitely to be recommended for a relaxing, stress-free holiday destination. Would certainly book this again.
