My wife and I plus our son who is eight years old, stayed for a week during the Christmas holiday.
The staff were absolutely brilliant and Wolfgang who was in charge ensured that guests were always 100% content with everything.
I like my food and I was not disappointed, it was a gourmet feast every meal time. A five course meal every evening (except Christmas Eve which was seven courses) was absolutely lovely with beer and wine included on a half board basis.
The rooms were roomy and very clean, two twins pushed together and a single for my son did us ok. The view of the Alps from our room balcony was stunning and a great place for a bedtime Schnapps.
Plenty of wardrobe space and a nice size bathroom but I would liked to of seen a shower curtain for the bath shower. A large size indoor heated pool was fantastic with sauna; whirlpool and showers couldn’t keep my son out of it.
The hotel had a lovely evening ambience with a nice bar and some evening entertainment from a local musician, all sort of honeymoon stuff. We were ski-ing and the lifts were literally only a few yards away, a designated room for ski equipment was a bit on the small side but was ok.
All in all a highly recommended hotel.

Seefeld is simply stunning. Clean, beautiful and very picturesque.
We were booked into the Kreuzseehof hotel on Alpina and upon arrival at Innsbruck airport we were advised that we were being moved to its "sister" hotel, the Alpina. Well did we score on that one. The Alpina was excellent.
We were given a very warm welcome upon arrival by the male receptionist, who insisted on carrying both our luggage up two flights of stairs. Our room was exceptionally large, huge picture windows which were perfect for the beautiful scenery of Seefeld. The bedroom was well furnished and more than enough storage. The bathroom was perhaps a little dated but perfect for our needs.
The food, well they simply excelled. They should be very proud of their chefs and Wolfgang, the Maitre 'D. So attentive, so polite and friendly. The food was wonderful with 4 courses and plenty of salads and soup. Breakfasts were the usual buffet continental breakfast with a great choice of different products.
Lots to do around Seefeld. Walking, with plenty of marked walks amidst the stunning scenery. There is also the train station so you can visit other parts of Austria or even Germany. We visited Mittenwald (Germany) which we would definitely recommend, and also Munich.
To summarise - Fantastic. We only had a week which was not long enough!!

With two colleagues this was my third consecutive visit to the Hotel Alpina .Previous visits have been very pleasant,staying in single rooms .This year my room was simply awful while my colleagues had far better rooms .I immediately complained to reception ,a young lady, who thought that nothing could be done but possibly a solution could be found in the morning (Sunday).It was then I met the new manager Herr Schloegl.He informed me that nothing could be done ,an argument started and soon we were into an eyeball to eyeball confrontation with lots of shouting .His whole attitude was that he was the boss and how dare I make a complaint . I was stuck with the room for a week .
Other people complained about the food which was in general poor and although we were promised "unlimited" beer or wine at dinner ,if you requested a second glass you were charged for it .
We heard of many arguments with Herr Schloegl during the week but I can't say what they were about .The waiting staff were efficient and courteous.
I had noticed that for whatever reasons the Hotel Alpina has been removed for Inghams brochure for next season .
I obtained an address to complain to which I did. The reply indicated that many complaints have been received about Herr Schloegl and that he is being removed as manager almost immediately .The hotel can now return to some sort of sanity.
