The Gran Baita is one of Selva's top hotels. Enjoy a beautiful traditional hotel with elegant furnishings, excellent leisure facilities and fantastic cuisine. The hotel is well situated, 2 minutes from the village centreand 4 minutes from the ski lifts.

The Val Gardena valley and the Dolomites are just stunning! We go in the summer as we are keen hill walkers. Although it's in Italy it was once part of Austria and the architecture has that influence.
There are three towns in the valley, Selva, Santa Cristina and Ortisei - we have actually stayed in both Selva and Ortisei. You just have to purchase the ValGardena card (about £36 each) which gives you 7 days unlimited use of all the lifts (and there are many) and all the buses between the villages. We spent one whole day using the various lifts and buses to get us from Selva to Ortisei and back - fabulous!
The Hotel Gran Baita is an excellent hotel with all amenities including a swimming pool. We stayed in the annexe which is a 2 minute walk from the main hotel which may put you off but don’t let it! Our room was large and comfortable and we had an enormous veranda with great views. The staff are really friendly and the food divine.
I'd say Ortisei is the prettiest of the villages with lots more interesting shops but its only a bus ride away.
You can't fail to have a wonderful time in the Gardena Valley.
