Initially unimpressed when arrived as we appeared to be the only English at the hotel, and at first impressions the reception staff were not very friendly and only two spoke English. However our impressions changed as the week went on as the staff were very friendly and helpful, even the ones who couldn’t understand us tried their hardest and done so with a smile. Food was good and plentiful, New Year gala dinner very long (had to give up after the 5th course) and entertainment staff very good and friendly.

Ski bus stop outside hotel at bottom of driveway and regular free buses, 10 minute walk up-hill to slopes and town centre, 5 minutes walk back as downhill or 3 minutes on bus.

New Year celebrations in town are spectacular and made our holiday, also hotel held their own new year’s eve party which appeared very good too, but we had booked our Thomson new year party so went to that instead, but hotel party still going strong when we returned at 2am.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cavaliere and are planning to return very soon.
