My wife and I have just returned from a 14 day stay and my overall feeling on reflection is that it "wasn’t bad" - but I would not return.
The Public Rooms are huge and not particularly user friendly, our room (Junior Exec.De Lux SV) was clean and spacious, but it had a distinct "Used" feel, spotty carpet, grubby settee arms.
The Dining Room was like a well furnished Canteen, and desperately needed at least one more Buffet SS point and certainly more than one rather slow toasting machine. However, the food was good and the serving staff very helpful. The indoor bar was furnished very stylishly, albeit uncomfortably. Two G & T's 14.90 Euros, Coffee average 4.40.
The best feature is the large pool and garden area- spotless with plenty of sun chairs at all times of the day, complete with bar and restaurant. The entertainment provided by the hotel tended to be a live something (Beatles/Dancers) at about 2200 - 2300 at the poolside restaurant and there was pressure to buy a drink at increased prices if one sat and watched - the management were a trifle ambivalent about this! The sea bathing area was easy to access using an underpass but once there it was like dog end alley- cleaning appeared to be up to the weather. Once again there were plenty of sun chairs available. One factor that I had not counted on was the prevailing strong wind between the island and Turkey, and the sea was almost always choppy. The beach was stony and a bit rocky when first entering the water on still days, mosquitoes managed to get into the rooms if the balcony doors were left open - although an Electric Mosquito gizmo was provided in the room.
The bus to Rhodes stopped outside the hotel - 1.70 Euros (have the exact cash if buying a ticket on a bus) Taxis reasonable 6/7 Euros to town. The worst aspect as far as I was concerned was the tacky area outside the hotel -. Bars advertising football/soaps and mini supermarkets, with a narrow pavement on a very busy road.

Just returned home from staying at The Sheraton for 11 nights with husband and daughter (age 8) and was left feeling disappointed with overall holiday, especially given the price of it.
Whilst the hotel has many plus points; great food, lovely pools, good levels of service - the hotel is too big and has too many guests staying at any one time. Every morning was a fight to secure your sunbed and meal times were fraught with other nationalities not used to waiting or taking their turn....(Russians, Israelis...). Accessing lifts is dreadful as there are not enough for the size of the hotel.
The beach cannot be described as a beach - it is a rocky precipe with sunbeds and you need secure plastic shoes to be able to access the sea without cutting your feet.
The kids club is lousy so don't book with a view to using it as you won't, especially if you're kids have ever tried the Thompson type of clubs as they are very good. This was very poor despite a British girl being one of the team.
Music was played too loudly by the large pool - disco style which meant if you wanted to eat lunch at the pool side restaurant, you had to shout to be heard!
We came away disappointed as there is no ambience or indeed charm to this hotel, evening entertainment is poor and it is difficult to meet and get to know fellow guests due to the scale of the hotel. Those you do meet are rude and aggressive.
Not a hotel I would recommend despite its' many plus points.
