Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel

Was ok untill I had something stolen from the room and the manager and staff were very unhelpfull.

Booked through Universal Studios and got free park tickets for 4 so it was a great off season deal. The hotel was nicer than I expected (after reading the other reviews). Brought my own pillows but the ones they had were fine. If you walk - go to Vineland and walk towards Kirkman - crossing Kirkman is tricky (you need to cross 3 times) to stay on the same side of the street. This hotel is in a great location, it is set off the main road so is fairly quiet. Right near some great restaurants. We walked to TGI Fridays which took us about 5 minutes. 2 minutes drive from Universal, you could see the theme park from our room and we had a good view of the evening fireworks. We were going to walk to Universal which is probably only 20 minutes but I decided i lacked the motivation to walk back after a day at the park!!! The pool is on the small side but was clean. Good location, small beds, nice breakfast,good value,,,, but Today my wife got her credit card statement and there was an extra charge of $175. She called and they accused us of stealing their linens towels and blankets. That will make you mad! Don

We stayed at the Sleep Inn March 23rd and 24th. The room was very clean. Pool was nice, a little small. The breakfast was just okay. They only had pastries, toast, cereal and bagels. Nothing hot to eat. Little crowded sitting at breakfast. Go right when it served, or wait till after 9am. The shuttle to Universal doesn't run all the time, but you can walk it. My husband & I were booked here Jan. 8-10, 2006, by a timeshare sales organization as part of a "vacation" that we "won" so we were skeptical...but were pleasantly surprised. I would categorize this hotel an above-average budget hotel. The staff was attentive & helpful, parking was very convenient as it's right outside the front door, elevators were quick, our floor was quiet, our room was clean & a free continental breakfast was offered every morning. I loved this hotel! It was very clean, and everthing worked well! The suite was spacious, and easially accomodated the three of us. The staff was friendly and very helpful :) It was definatly worth the $90/night (price after tax)! The contintal breakfast was nice too! The only thing is I wish the shuttle to universal ran more often, but this is not a sleep in thing.

My husband, 16 year old son and I stayed at this hotel for one night for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Check in went smoothly, we got to our room and saw how small the double beds were which was disappointing. The pillows were flat and small. Another disappointment. We went down to the front desk to get the shuttle times to be taken to Universal only to discover that they didn't run until 5:00 in the afternoon when we had purchased early admission to Halloween Horror Nights to be let into the park at 4:00, so we had to take... more

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and a great value. Room was clean, spacious and well kept. Bathroom was huge and clean. Staff was very courteous. Free local phone calls. Free shuttle to Universal (tips welcomed). Free breakfast buffet is mostly high carb foods. No outside room access (you have to go inside of the hotel to get to your room). Great location; close to Interstate 4. My only complaint is no internet access as advertised (which was okay because I was there to go to Universal). I highly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sleep Inn and Suites for 4 days. We bought a package deal from Universal Studios Vacations and they offered about 5 hotels to choose from in the vacation package but, all of them were booked up except for the Sleep Inn, so we had to stay there. Check In went smoothly and they let us into our room before 3pm which was nice. They had a nice pool to hang around at, and the breakfast was ok lots of pastries, a waffle maker, toast, bagels, coffee, juice etc...There were a few things that will not have me going... more
