Island Club Resort and Spa

I recently stayed here from April 13th - April 19th. We stayed in room #1120 it was a 3br townhome. Like most travelers I try to find out information on places that I stay. I read the reviews from this website and after talking to the staff prior to arriving I was assured that these claims of horror were false. When I arrived I noticed that all the smoke detectors were in the downstairs closet. After further inspection I noticed the master bathroom shower was completely disassembled. I was looking on the internet for a place to stay while vacationing in Florida. Found this townhouse at Island Club. I thought this was too good to be true because of the price--very pleased with what we found. It was clean and the people were very nice and accomadating.

Customer service was very poor. They gave me wrong key to my room and went to office to exchange right key, but I ended up waiting over one hour because key personnel was left. While I was waiting, there was so many other customer were complaining about their room. Next, they advertise about internet service but no internet service in their room and very upsetting was they charge me serveral time in my credit card.

We were also drawn by the lower prices and nice photos on Hotels. The place was in a deserted part of Florida (almost impossible to find at night.) There were no restaraunts around. Although the condos were brand new, they were very badly built. I was afraid to walk upstairs because the floor was sagging and squeaking. There were roaches everywhere, the condo was furnished poorly, and the phone line wouldn't allow us to connect to the internet with our computer. Recently stayed at Island Club West for 5 nights. Overall, very pleased. For the price, you can't beat it! We had a 3 BR townhouse with 2 baths. We had full kitchen facilities also. We found it very comfortable. Close to Disney, Seaworld, etc. Beautiful landscaping, pool, etc.

Such a great deal for townhome -- it's like a big apartment. Close to Disney. Our family liked having a townhouse much better than staying in hotel room. We all felt very safe -- they have a security gate at the entrance. The kids were disappointed that the game room had only two games, but the pool table room was free. Overall it was a great stay.

Our trip to the Orlando area was great. Our stay at Ialand Club West was the best buy for the buck. We had 4-bedroom, 2-bath accomodations for the price of a hotel. Although our kids complained that there was not a great selection of video games, the staff made up for that with lots of other entertainment for them. We could not have asked for a more friendly, helpful group of people to help us find our way. Take a look, you'll be pleasantly surprised at what they have to offer.

We stayed at Island Club for a long weekend getaway and overall had a positive experience. The best thing about the property is that you get so much bang for the buck! We researched lots of other hotels and none offered as much space for so little money. It's a great set up for families who require more of an apartment than a traditional hotel room. I just recently stayed at Island Club West from March 24 through March 30. When I arrived I was amazed at the beauty of the development. When we entered our townhome it was exactly what I was promised. 3 bedroom, 2 bath with spa, satellite TV hookup, lots of space, microwave, oven, washer/dryer(very important with my 4 year old). The grounds were very clean, Security was always around patrolling, other residents were very courteous/ kind. The staff was great. I cannot say enough about Island Club West. We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay. The rooms were comfortable and the furnishings are cheerful. Especially enjoyed the whirpool tub after a long day at the parks. Was pleased with the value. Did have a few bumps but the staff was very professional and took care of things immediately. We plan to return soon.
