Musty with urine smelling elevators. UGHHH!

Luckily our stay was brief. We arrived early October, and the rooms smelled musty and the floors were damp! We asked to change to another room and the floors were better but the smell was very evident. We had to buy an air freshener to make the stay bearable. It took 3 hours after a 2nd phone call to get maintenance to come and fix the toilet. Breakfast did't even exist and we started at 8:30am! The elevators smelled like urine and were scary! The hotel still doesn't bear the name Ramada Inn and thus we had a hard time finding the hotel. The...

I stayed at the Ramada Inn International Drive from 10/1/04 to 10/4/04. I checked in around 9pm and I was a little skeptical at first because there was a man screaming about his room being wet and smelly. The people at the front desk were very nice and patient and explained to him that they had been through 4 hurricanes but they would never provide a room that was unsatisfactory, but the man would not listen and he wanted out of the hotel immediately. This is a excellent hotel!!! Compared to some hotel rooms my family of 4 stayed in, this was nice and big for us. It was great having the microwave and frig in the room. My daughter didn't feel like eating her supper and I was able to take it back to the room, put it in the frig for when she was hungry, and then was able to heat it up for her. Also found a coupon for this hotel in a book that my husband picked up in the Florida welcome center and the front desk was nice to enough to change our rate to the coupon, saving us quite a bit of...

We have just returned from a short holiday in Orlando.We had a terrible start at ANOTHER hotel but the Ramada Inn Lakefront ( formally The Wellesley ) saved our holiday. The staff were so helpful and went far beyond what we could have expected. I just got back from there and can only say that the best thing about the room was the view from the room of the lake and then out over the balcony from the front. The room was clean and nice the rest of the hotel I found could use some work. The pool was okay and was well maintained. The elevators were not in very good shape, there are only two washers and dryers to do laundry, and one of the washers was broken. The breakfeast in the moring was nothing to brag about. We stayed at the Ramada Inn and were pleased with the hotel. It has a beautiful view of the lake surrounding Wet N Wild waterslide park. It is smack dab in the middle of everything, very short distance from Universal Studios too. The rooms were clean and the check out was noon, which is awesome. The room had no strange smells, nor did it appear dirty in any way. We were very pleased.

My son and I spent spring break(4/04)at this hotel. It was very hard to locate (daylight hrs), due to it sitting way back off the street, and the sign still noted it as the Wellesley Inn. But, we finally found it after stopping at a very run down Ramada in further down on International Dr. and getting clear directions. I must admit, we had a nice stay. I found Wellesley Inn on Hotels for a pretty cheap rate, but when I actually called the hotel, they gave me an even cheaper rate, $49/ night. My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights and it was well worth the money! We had a very spacious room with a king bed on the fourth floor. The hotel was also located in a nice area. We walked to several restaurants and shops. For things that were outside of walking distance we took the I-trolley, which was only .75 cents each way. At $49/night, this hotel was a great find! I stayed at the Ramada (also known as the wellesley inn at the time i stayed) in April 2004. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were given fresh towels every day. The room had a great view over the lake and the heated swimming pool looks out onto it too. The pool is lovely and warm, but sometimes looked a bit dirty, but other than that i had no complaints. The free breakfast is great, theres not a massive choice but what they do have is great. A tip is to get there early as theres not many seats! reception were really friendly and helpful...
