Afandou Beach Hotel

My family and I have just returned from a great weeks holiday at this hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English.
The food is of a good standard however their deserts are very limited. It was watermelon every night plus one other option, which varied. The only complaint we had was the drinks were of a poor standard. We went on an all inclusive basis but the coke and other fizzy drinks were a cheap variety and were flat. And the spirits were peculiar to say the least. Due to this I drank nothing but orange, apple juice and tea all week.
The only other down point was there is no evening entertainment and the hotel is very secluded. However there is a service called The Little Train, which my son loved which drove you to Afandou Square (the nearest town)for 1 euro per adult and 50 cents per child. Once there, there is a variety of bars, shops and restaurants.
The swimming pool is excellent and the gardens are beautiful and there was never a shortage of sun loungers. There is also a small swing park for the children but it could only be used in the evening as the equipment was too hot during the day.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday I would recommend this hotel. But if you are looking for something a little more lively, pick Rhodes but not this location. We would definitely go to Greece again but would pick a livelier destination, or a hotel with evening entertainment.
