Un-pleasant Experiences: - Paid full thru Orbitz but surprised on extra RESORT FEE charges by the Hotel. Didn't save much even with $50 discount. - Was told ORBITZ arrangement are the worst parts of the hotel with un-desirable condition like bathtub floor painted and peelings. It will be the back building and not improved. I have been staying at this hotel for 9 years now. It's always extremely clean and has 2 clean pools, one heated for the adults and one kiddie pool not heated. The free breakfast every morning is awesome, donuts, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels and cream cheese. It has free shuttle service to the parks and the Wlamart Supercenter is across the street and the 192 Flea Market is next door. The room rates are super affordable and the Staff is exceptional. Centrally placed position set back from US 192 (convenient for Interstate 4 and theme parks). Reception and housekeeping staff very efficient. Good standard motel room (2 double beds) with large TV at decent rate (Roomsnet.com $30 (incl tax) + $4 resort fee). Large heated pool and recliners well used and a real plus. High speed internet access appreciated. Only slight demerit was slow-flushing toilet (fixed after a few days). Not recommended for any type of stay. Leaking faucet, dirty peeling bathtub missing shower curtain, tub drain plug not working, toilet seat would not stay up and noisy at night.

We spent 8 nights in February 2007 here and found it to be clean and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor. It was quiet and the room was thoroughly cleaned each day including vaculming, and fresh towels. We had a fridge and microwave in our room. The high speed internet kept disconnecting in our room. There were many tv channels. There was no ice machine on any floor except the main level, but with a fridge we didn't need any. Whatever you do, avoid this place. It is very rundown and, in my opinion, not even clean. Sink was cracked and peeling, bathtub drain wouldn't keep water in, shower wouldn't turn off, bed sagged--you name it. Breakfast was of marginal quality. Maid only left one towel, handtowel and washcloth per person. Kleenex and toilet paper was of the poorest quality and scratchy. One day the coffeemaker wasn't even cleaned and new packets left. Well we booked this as our last night's stay in Orlando on our way out. I got it through Expedia for $40 on a Sunday night. We were in room 280 in the back looking at the pool. The pool & yard looked ok, we didn't swim. I don't mind cheap hotels as we are often only sleeping in ours, we are rarely there, but this one was not good. It was dirty. My husband and 2 kids went to Orlando to visit disney world and chose The Howard Johnson at 4311 West Highway 192, Kissimmee, FL 34746 . We arrived by plane and immediately called the hotel for directions. The desk clerk gave me incorrect directions to their hotel on 192. We were lost for about 3 hrs.. When we kept calling the hotel to get directions the Desk Clerk responded as if we were annoying her. When we finally got there and I explained her misguided directions. I booked a room here as a layover for 1 day through Orbitz. I never got out of the parking lot. I had my family with me, but I would not have stayed here alone. It was disgusting, the doors were not all painted, there were mattresses thrown out in the rear of the property, rusted dishwashers sitting on property, unpainted marred doors, garbage throughout.
