Me and my boyfriend booked this holiday just 2 weeks before travelling, and couldn't really find any reviews on the hotel, so were unsure what to expect.
We knew the hotel was situated on a hillside, and when we arrived, we were pleased, as the hotel and reception area seemed lovely. My heart sank however, when I saw our room.
It was on the ground floor around the back of the hotel, had a small terrace and 3 beds shoved into a small room, with small tables and chairs covering any other floor space. The bathroom ceiling was black with damp, and the paint peeling off the walls.
I was quite upset, so kindly asked reception if there was any chance we could change rooms for one with a balcony. She immediately gave us another room to look at which was entirely different. It was bright and airy, and had a lovely balcony with sea views.
The walk into Faliraki took us around 30 mins gentle stroll, although the free mini bus took you near to town 3 times a day (10am, 5.30pm, and 10pm). And the return taxi was around 6 euro. Wouldn't recommend walking back in the dark, as there are no lights on the hill.
The hill is quite steep though, and we heard quite a few people complaining that the hotel was too far out, but this is stated in the brochure quite clearly.
We found the staff in the hotel very nice and helpful when asking for directions etc. The air conditioning is priced at 6 euro per day, but we only had it for one day and didn't notice any real difference, so didn't bother again.
The price of goods in the mini-market is quite expensive (especially drinks - compared to town), and the pool side snack bar is ok, but quite basic, and a few of the sun beds could do with replacing as they were broken.
All in all the hotel was great, but could do with updating.
We went to Faliraki beach once, which was nice and good for water sports, but would recommend Ladikos Bay and Anthony Quinn (A 20-25 min walk from Hotel). Beautiful beach and fantastic for snorkelling, and not too overcrowded either.
We also found public transport very reasonable. We travelled to Lindos (beautiful - would recommend!) and it cost around 7 euro return each.
We ate most nights in the Hawaiian BBQ Restaurant - very reasonable and food fantastic. We also ate at the Acropol Bar and Restaurant, and went there most nights for a drink. The bar staff were really friendly.
I would recommend the water park too - a great day out for 20 euro plus 6 euro taxi.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely go back to the beautiful Island of Rhodes, and the Atalanti Hotel.

Great facility, good staff, 20 minute walk to Kos Town with plenty of stopping points.
Maid service every day, clean and well-kept rooms. Two pools one with kids entertainment plus a private beach with beds at 1.50 Euro per day hire. A great way to enjoy Kos without the noise of the upbeat great night out town centre.
Good on site supermarket with fresh deliveries every morning and decent prices.
