Great 2 weeks in the sun. Beautiful hotel, rooms were always clean and staff were always very friendly.
Only negative we found was last orders at 10.45 at the bar. Once the bar closes at 11.00pm - there is not much else to do in Tholos. Only nightclub in the resort was full of under 16s.
Great family resort. Good location for a relaxing holiday in the Sun.
Entertainment team were always there to put a smile on our faces - good family games and kiddies disco!

I have been to this hotel and the food is very nice, the rooms are very comfortable and the air conditioning is very nice and refreshing. The hotel is practically on the beach, the Mediterranean Sea and views are beautiful, the whole experience was brilliant. If you choose to go you have to watch the sunset and make sure to capture it on a camera. Also the waiters and bar tenders are very helpful and polite.

The Hotel itself was clean, Food to a reasonable standard, Entertainment well seen a lot better. Pool area nice but deep so you were unable to play or stand in most parts. Plenty of area to sunbath and some nice quiet spots on the grass. The hotel leads straight onto its own beach area. The bad points Situated in a village where if you walk up the road or down the road about 300yds that’s it. there are a few shops and car hire places. The hotel is good for people who spend all their time at the hotel but not the best place to tour from. I found the staff very helpful. All the safe boxes are situated behind reception and that is manned 24hrs a day. Wasps yes that his a problem but we do not help ourselves by putting rubbish in closed bins instead of the small bins they provided. People must beware that a 4 star hotel in Greece is not to the same standard as Spain, Canaries etc.
I must admit other than the entertainment and the isolation of the hotel I would have rated the hotel a lot higher.

Stayed in this hotel last year and found it to be good value for money. It is a bit out of the way but has a few good bars/restaurants close by.

Unfortunately my daughter was taken quite ill while we were there (nothing to do with the hotel) but the staff were really helpful in arranging a doctor every day and 2 hospital visits.
Only two little complaints; there are no shallow parts in the pool so no good for kids I have a 11 year old son who can swim quite well but you could never relax while he was in their and you are on the flight path from the local airport, but you soon get use to this. All in all a good place for a quite holiday.
We have been to the Doreta Beach Hotel 7 times and are booked to go again next July. For a family wanting a peaceful, relaxed and safe holiday without neon lights and all night discos this hotel and resort is the place to go! The Doreta is the largest hotel on the west coast of Rhodes but only 5 storeys high. The hotel is extremely well equipped and maintained and the vast grounds are a delight. Although the beach is described in a lot of brochures as being mainly shingle, it is in fact more sand with large pebbled areas. This doesn't detract from it being a suitable beach for children.
We have stayed on various floors over the years to the front, side and rear of the hotel and never had cause to complain. The rooms are extremely clean with maid service and towels changed every day.
The staff are wonderful and many of them are there year after year and will remember you! They are all very friendly, polite and always immaculately turned out in their various uniforms.
The hotel, fortunately, operates a strict dress code in the restaurant - no bare midriffs or bikini tops for ladies and gentlemen are required to wear long trousers when dining in the evening - keeps everybody looking as presentable as the staff.
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough and the tavernas and restaurants on the main road on which the hotel sits are also well worth a visit, particularly Billy's bar and Mike's restaurant.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff only too willing to help where possible. A little noise from the planes taking off and landing at the nearby Rhodes airport but the noise seems to disappear after a very short time of being there.
Great location for both families and couples, the pool is large and has plenty of sun loungers and with the bar being situated between the beach and the pool its ideally situated for getting all the ice cream, water or beer that you could possibly need through the day.
Free use of pedaloes and canoes and a day trip to Rhodes old town on the local bus is definitely worth the experience along with a trip to the water park in Faliraki. We went at the very end of September/early October and the weather was still very warm if a little breezy.
We will definitely return there and its wet our appetite to visit other Islands and locations in and around Rhodes.

I've never booked off teletext before but I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money and excellent service given to me by Joanne at travelbargains. I was taken through the whole process step by step and she faxed through details of the hotel. I got a couple of hundred pounds off brochure price and the hotel was everything I expect from an all inclusive holiday. The beach was clean , the staff were very friendly and the food was superb. I will definitely be booking with travel bargains again.

The food was a little bit too British for us - we wanted to try some Greek food, and managed to do that by spending a little time in our hire car (75 euros for three days! fab) exploring the island.

The pool is fantastic and the kids had a great time (although the big pool is quite deep with no shallow end for smaller kids) and the endless free (AI) ice creams, colas and beers were great. The snack bar was also handy for the kids as they were able to get toasties and chips throughout the day.

At night the entertainment is a bit mad (not really my cup of tea) but again my 4 year old loved the junior disco and by the end of the hols knew all the moves to all the songs. If evening entertainment (i.e. bingo) is not your thing then you can always escape to the pool bar and enjoy the quiet there - or a game of pool in the games room near the pool bar.

This is most definitely a family hotel and not somewhere I would go for a couples holiday - but as we were having a family holiday it was perfect. There are lots of kids of all ages, nice hotel, friendly staff, nice food and fab pool (with pool bar). If you are adventurous you can go to the beach and swim in the sea - there is also a lovely breeze on this side of the island so you don’t feel like you are baking.

Day trip to Symi is a must - and if you hire a car, Tsampiki beach, Lindos and Rhodes town are must sees too. All in all I’d rate 7 out of 10 for the hotel and 10 out of 10 for a fantastic holiday.
