Quality Inn & Suites Eastgate

I use Choice hotels since I collect their points, but this was SURELY one of the worst experiences. I booked at a rate quoted by their website to be their best rate - when I get there, they were advertising outside on their screen the same room for 25% less. The person refused to match it up. Second, she lied about giving me a smoking room when I had specifically requested and BOOKED a non-smoking room. She evidently gave it to someone else and then was forcing me to stay there. Room quality was horrible. Don't stay there!

We were on a 10 day Disney vacation and chose to stay at this Quality Inn due to supposed proximity to WDW and a good rate for 12/31. The information from the Choice Hotels website makes this seem like a good budget hotel. This property ranks below budget and would be considered a "dump". The two room "suite" we stayed smelled horribly, the outside door did not fully close, the doors between the rooms could not be closed, the staff service was terrible at it's best. Need I go on. How could anybody book this after reading the reviews here? I'm not sure, but we did. The price ($83/night, peak season, booked online at hotel site) and location were very appealing. We (2 moms with our 2 teenaged daughters) went for 5 days in February 2005 over President's Day weekend and the well-reviewed properties that met our criteria & budget were all booked with holiday and Daytona racing crowds. I read some of the reviews posted to this hotel and came to the conclusion that they reviewed the wrong Quality Inn. The property has been recently renovated; we had no problems with cleanliness, and the staff was careful to place guests in areas where they would be most comfortable--families with children, who would be apt to be a bit more noisy, for example, were not placed in the same area as older couples who would expect peace and quiet. Arived on the last night of a two week fly drive needing somewher for the night before our flight home. After viewing several rooms we decided not to stay, after all its not like theres a shortage of rooms in Kissimmee! all the rooms we looked at smelled bad and had old furniture YUK!

This place is horrible. I would NEVER stay there again. For $150/night for a 2 bedroom suite I expect better than filthy elevators, mildew in the bathrooms and grease on the range hood. Oh, and did I mention the broken furniture in the rooms? If it's a choice between sleeping in the car and staying at this hotel...sleep in your car!

Stayed here over New Year's Eve and woke up to a bug crawling on my arm. Reported to managment and am still awaiting a call from manager. Had reservations for next night and was discounted $5 off. Big deal! Called headquarters and filed another complaint. This place was dirty. Will never use internet to book in advance again.

The toilet backed up twice. There's absolutely nobody around after 10pm that can offer any help whatsoever. The front desk staff is extremely rude and the housekeeping staff doesn't do their job. I'm still waiting for the manager to call me since I'm demanding a 50% rate adjustment for the extremely poor service and quality.

After waiting in line to check in for 20 minutes. We were greeted by general manager who told us someone else would have to wait on us because he had filing to do. My husband asked him about customer service and he answered that he had the right to refuse us a room. For what reason? Because we wanted our room. He was so rude that the other customers in lobby were ready to deck him. How can someone be so rude in front of numerous customers. If we knew we could find another suite for 5 nights we would have left right away. TERRIBLE SERVICE>
