Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Staff remembered us which makes you feel good when you think how many people pass through a hotel in a year. We met new friends & previous guests & enjoyed every minute. Only complaint was being charged extra for 'deluxe' room... more

We went to the Hemera in May 2010 and I have to say it was fabulous. It was the first time abroad with our 19 month old daughter and I was slightly daunted by it but oh my god, the resort, its facilities and its staff were amazing. We'd also never been all inclusive... more

The rooms are roomy and spotless, the grounds lovely (including the cats. The food is good with loads of choice and I can be very fussy. All staff we met treated guests with great courtesy and friendliness.Getting all excited thinking about it.....

Fantastic value for money
Arrived in early September just as the children returned to school. We did not have to get up early to save sunbeds with towels as there was plenty to go around for all. The hotel was very clean, fabulous food, very friendly staff. Cant wait to go back again soon....
Worth The Money
I have been to Turkey with my family 6 times now. Three being at this hotel. I can't fault it. The turkish are friendly and kind. The hotel is for all ages and all kinds of people. Food is catered for all and the weather is glorious all year nearly. I have also been in winter time, (for xmas) and even though the weather wasnt sunshine all the time, it was still an enjoyable holiday. The hotel is close to all things needed, the beach, shopping, entertainment etc so you cannot go wrong there. The people who work there, are amazing. Always have a smile on there face even after a hard days work (normally around 14 hours for them). Animation team are wonderful, make everyone feel at home. Say hi to my Askim, Musti. Also say hello to Chloe!! Who I am actually going back with in December on my own. If you are unsure whether to go to Hemera, I hope I have answered your question. GO! you will love it.
lovely hotel
From the West Midlands. (Ages,73,65,43,41,41,40,16,13,12,7) This was our first visit to Turkey, and after reading the reviews on this and another site about how good this hotel was and how a lot of people have revisited we could not wait to get there to find out for ourselves. I can say, we were not disappointed. On a value for money basis it was excellent. We travelled with Thomas Cook and so managed to get a child price for our 16 year old son, which are hard to come by. We had a family room for the four of us which was very roomy (one of our sons went in with the nans). The maid who was very friendly, came in every day and the mini bar was re-stocked everyday with water and soft drinks. The hotel is set in beautifull gardens and the pool area is lovely. Ice cream was only served between 5pm and 6pm but it was worth waiting for as it was the best and really filling along with the cakes they put out at this time. The snack bar area down by the beach bar was great and all the serving staff were really friendly if you take time to be friendly to them (say hello to Memmet ). My husband had a few words to say to one of the bar men down at the beach bar because he seemed to be ignoring him but after that everything was fine. The photographer on site takes lovely photos so give him a try. The animation team work really hard, they do their stints in the day ie, darts, kids club, volley ball etc, and then they do the entertainment at night, I could not believe it one day when we went for our lunch at the snack bar and they were painting all the props and scenery for the nights entertainment! , say hello to Scooby, Robbie, Sarken and all the others who we did not get to learn their names. I am a vegetarian who is prepared to try pretty much anything that does not contain meat, and I found the food fantastic (I put on a stone), but my husband who does not like to try different things struggled a bit on the evening meals. The drinks were pretty good measures too and good quality. They put on a garden party one night which took so much effort and time it was fantastic. And a beach party which we really enjoyed. All in all we really did have our monies worth out of this hotel and would recommend it to anyone else. I could write so much more about this hotel and Side which is lovely with its ruins, but why not find out for yourself, in my opinion you will not be disappointed.
Great Hotel all roung hotel but.....
This is a great hotel, set in beautiful lust grounds and on the beach. Good value for money, food was excellent (first holiday we’ve had where none of us have a tummy bug). Staff are friendly and helpful except the bar staff if you’re not a young women, blond or a man it may take you some time to get served. We stayed in a ground floor apartment, the accommodation was great, so clean and spacious the only down side to this is that nearly all apartments are on the main road and apartment numbers 20 – 28 are opposite and restaurant/disco that play music until two or three o’clock in the morning and the road starts to getting busy from 5am. Overall this is a lovely hotel.
What a Good Place
As an ex-rep you wont find a better hotel in the area for your money, this all inclusive hotel offer more than you can expect. Two minutes from the Med and a private beach where secuirty is always present during the day. Watersports (non-hotel) are available. Better try the Turkish Bath within the hotel and say Steve sent you :) It is one of the best in the area and you will not be disappointed. Anyone going here on holiday will make new friends and loads of memories - have a good one!!
Wonderful Hotel - spoilt rotten - only downfall is noise
We visited the Hemera in March 2005. Hotel is great; food is buffet style and a choice of about 4 hot main courses and mountains for salads, and not to mention the vast choice of wonderful deserts. Staff were brilliant, especially the restaurant staff, it was my Birthday whilst we were there the table was covered in flowers and a bottle of Champagne chilled (well sparkling wine but they called it champagne). Sea and outdoor pool too cold to use, but hot enough to sunbath, and use the indoor pool. Thomas Cook Rep was great. Loved the All Inclusive, including real Bacardi and real Coke Cola, Local wines and their lager was great, you could eat and drink From 10am to 11pm, and then the fill up a fridge if you are still hungry. It may be walking distance for the fit along the beech to Side, but we took a taxi for 5 euros, we tried the walk and it was just too far for us. We loved Side especially the banter, the Turkish shopkeepers love the British because we laugh with them and do not take it too serious. The Roman Ruins we great and most of it free to walk around. 2 Downsides, Yes it is full of Germans and yes they can be quite rude. The corridors are not carpeted so the noise does travel and echo, so any late night revellers do wake you on their return trips, especially Singing Germans.... I don't think we had one full nights sleep, If I had not unpacked so quickly we would have asked to be moved, which I know the staff would have been more than happy to arrange. Would I recommend the Hemera? yes
superb
Re visited Hemera in October after our August holiday, it was just fantastic how, not only did everyone remember us, but remembered our names and those of our children. We had a fantastic week and desperately wanted to stay. In August we had a 2 bedroom appartment and in October we had 2 x double rooms which were perfectly large enough for 4 of us. Everyone was wonderfully kind and helpful and the rooms kept beautifully clean. We are going again in August 2005, this time for 3 weeks so we can do more of the activities. Can not recommend this Hotel enough, it is the best.
hemera hotel side
i have been to the hemera three times fantastic hotel only promblem was the place was full of germans and the entertainment was just catering for them they need to consider the british a bit more but we still had a great holiday will go back
great hotel worth the trip
we had a five week stay from the 28th of Dec, had a fantastic time, staff brilliant, food ok, plenty of it but not all to our taste. its got a mix of 50% German/Dutch and then us but we all got on well. made a lot of friends some of them have been going there for years, and I think we will join them.
the hemera is superb
i stayed at the hemera july 2004 and loved it so much that we are going back july 2005. it's not only us that loved it. 5 other families are going back with us! there's nothing more yto say about the hotel. evreyone else has covered the good bits. the animation team are great, especially speedy and serkan. i wasn't affected by it, but i heard the apartments at the top end of the hotel got noisy at night. another thinbg is that they have no lifts in the hotel. this isn't a problem elsewhere in the hotel as its all on 2 or 3 floors but the apartment blocks have 5 or 6 floors. i seriously recommend the hemera. i have stayed at many 4 and 5* hotels and i would say that, considering the price and facilities, it comes out top. anyone who is going to hemera july/august 2005 email me or go on msn at elmarko99@hotmail.com
