I stayed at this resort with my Wife two year old son and 5 year daughter Gran and Grandad came too in July 2010 apologies for he late review! have only started using trip advisor recently but i have found it so helpful my reviews will be more up to date. When arriving at the resort at four in the morining the room we had arranged was not available so we were moved to alternative rooms but not until10am!!. The room we had was cramped but comfortable with a nice balcony looking over the pool. The pool area itself is very clean and the pool wa never cold there is a very good baby pool and water slides to keep the kids happy arm bands reccomended for little ones. Entertainment team like most worked hard but I found them in your face desperate to get you up unlike other hotels i stayed in. The Thomas cook excursions were very overpriced but the trip to swim with dolphins was unforgettable. Unlike other thomas cook holidays i have been on i found the rep to be never available and pretty useless. The beach is amazing lovely and sandy perfect for kids. Entertainment at night were brilliant to view spectacular shows which were never the same credit to them only problem was the shows were never in english but my kids did not mind. if your kids go on the stage stand near becarfull of the drop of the stage. The beach bar served lovely food at lunchtime my only gripe was the scrawny cats that kept appearing around your feet. The restaruant at night was very busy and the food was of a good quality warm but thats what happens when you are on holiday food is never hot in a lot of the resorts i have gone to so dont moan. The kids play area is nice keeps them happy. The kids club staff tried very hard with are kids and were lovely but at the time we went it was full of children who didnt speak good english. There was ciema room for kids so they could watch a movie and be off your hands for a couple of hours. Drinks were of a very good quality cocktails were particuarly nice. Over all a very very nice resort my mother and father in law went there twice however I would not return in a hurry but would consider it. Im not posh and expect perfect hotel facilities but i have been to better hotels.
Word of warning if the kids drop food on the floor in your room clean it up asap as the ants seem to take the opportunity. we did not located a food item on the floor and when we woke in the morning found ants all over our beds and kids beds. I found this strange being on a balcony. The hotel staff acted straight away and fumigated our room. and the problem atright away.
Please dont be put off by my review it is a lovely clean resort in general ice cream parlour and pastry parlour for kids is very good. Things may have changed since i was there and if you have already booked you will have a lovely time.

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location right on the beach. The hotel grounds are attractive, the rooms bright and comfortable, the food great with plenty of variety, and the staff are so helpful and friendly. The activities and entertainment are great and the entertainment team work hard. All in all this is a great holiday and not only do we recommend it but hope to return.

We went to the Hemera in May 2010 and I have to say it was fabulous. It was the first time abroad with our 19 month old daughter and I was slightly daunted by it but oh my god, the resort, its facilities and its staff were amazing. We'd also never been all inclusive before but I have to say we were so impressed, my other half eats like a horse and the amount of choice of food and snacks was so good, something for everyone. Our of the A la carte restaurants the Turkish was the best but I would have just been happy with the buffet everynight. Even my Dad enjoyed it and he's a total restaurant snob!
The Entertainment team and staff were lovely and unlike other holidays we didn't get any hassle.
The kids playroom and outdoor play facilities were excellent and our daughter had just the best time. There was even stuff for our big kids, dad and my other half, archery, rifle shooting, table tennis, so many activities, too many to list.
I am very well travelled and never go back anywhere but we will be going back.

This was the best holiday we had .
The staff was very friendly and very helpfull,
The entertainment team was very friendly and put on some real good shows for us .we enjoyed the rifle shooting archery darts and beach bowls.the children enjoyed the mini club.
The food was very nice and there was also food put on for the children which they enjoyed.
It was a nice location for shops and markets was easy to get to from there.
The house keepers done a very good job of cleaning the rooms.
We was that pleased with it all that we have booked again to go back this year for christmas and the new year and we are hoping that the same staff and entertainment team will still be there as they was all nice people and all very helpfull . keep up the good work
- Advice: It's nice to go and see enjoy it as we did

Just got back from the Hemera in Side (3rd oct).
Please don’t let the star rating I have given this hotel put you off, it is just my experience bearing in mind money paid i.e 560 pounds each for a week and the experience we had. Firstly we arrived at the hotel and was told that the room they had allocated to us was not one of there best, in fact it was room 1043 and had no balcony just a sliding window which overlooked 3 turrets. We changed rooms to 1120 the following day (Sunday) . This was a nice room overlooking the pool but we could not get the aircon to cool the room below 28 degs. Reception agreed to send someone to have a look at the problem. Monday still having problems with aircon and advised reception again and also obtained another key card which we left in the electricity supply slot all day, still the room temp would not drop below 28 degs. Reported again to reception on Tuesday and were told that the Aircon is controlled locally and is only on between 5pm and 1am and is set centrally at a level of 24 degs so even if you want a lower temp your thermostat in the room is useless. On Thursday they offered to move us to one of their luxury rooms which we went and had a look at. These overlooked the car park and the only difference I could see is that they had a Sofa and the aircon was on 24 hrs a day but still limited at 24 degs. We decided to stay has we did not feel the few degs would make that much difference, they did however help by supplying a 16 inch pedestal fan which helped cool us during the night. The same night they must have looked at our aircon again and put it right as we could now get the thermostat to cut off at 24 degs and it did feel cooler, it was 16 degs outside in the evening but on the ground floor it would not have been wise to leave the door open also the mosquitos would have been an issue.
The food at the hotel was excellent and all the staff seem friendly and helpful. The entertainment was awful, we only watched 2 show a very average belly dancer who roped 3 men from the audience into performing with her. The other show was the Gala show with dancers dancing to Cuban rhythm against a multicoloured rock and roll backdrop with terrible lighting. The other entertainment by the pool was 50/50 and if I never have to listen to the solo artist sing Living next door to Alice again it will not be too soon. There was a duo singing one night and they were very good. The Night Club does not really open until 11.30 and it’s a reasonable sized room and the DJ will play some of the music you like if you ask for it albeit it might get edited or mixed over ( very badly).
The beach is nice but you will need to bag a sunbed before 8.30 if you want one on the beach. It is about a 40 min stroll through the surf to Side just walk up the ramp at the end of the beach and keep to the right and this will take you into the main st of Side down to the harbour.
If you have been to Turkey before it is all the same kind of shops but a bit more expensive here as it is very much geared to the German Visitor and the all try to speak to you in German first, in fact one night and asking for a ein beer bitte as I had listened to so much German here.
There is a fair selection of winsurfing equipment on the beach but there was little breeze whilst we were there about 5 knots. The Jet Bikes are 30 euro for 15 mins. The temp was 28 degs whist we were there and was cool in the evening 16- 21 degs so take a sweater if you are going in October.
There are shops locally and chemist if you need mossie spray ( half the price of the on site shop)
The Taxi from the hotel to Side is 6 euro and the dolmus is 2.5 TL . The domus stops about 500m from the town and you then have to jump on a land train like a dotto train to get to the centre this cost .75 TL or 1 Euro for 2 of you. Before you ever use a taxi anywhere in Turkey always agree a price.
Look at the cost of the trips outside the hotel before booking with the rep these are about half the price the also sell the trips along the beach as you walk into Side.
Buy you turkish delight in the shops outside the hotel it is 2 euro or 6 euro at the airport!
The Duty Free is not so cheap at the Turkish airport so you might find it cheaper on the plane, we bought 2 1ltr bottles of blue label vodka on the plane for £20.
Anyway to summarise 95% positive reviews for this hotel cannot be wrong and there was one person at the hotel who had been there 36 times! But I am afraid it was not for me , I will be going back to the Kustur Club in Kusadasi next year which is £560 for 2 weeks and has a bit of energy to it, I found this place to be a bit soulless but for quality of food and cleanliness it was first class. I have been to Turkey 10 times and this is the first all inclusive I have been to that I have had issues with centrally controlled aircon.
Anyway for those of you who have already booked this hotel don’t be put off, it was recommended to us and we all don’t have the same taste you just sometimes have to put things down to experience. Have a great holiday.

We have just returned from 2 weeks here (5th April till 20th 09). Hotel is fantastic, had a 2 bed apartment which was very spacious and modern. Was spotlessly clean, maid service everyday, clean towels & face cloths as well. They supplied shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, bath robes and slippers for the duration. Lovely large shower cubicle.
Resturant was brilliant, food excellent and so was the service especially "Ali" nothing was too much trouble! Loads of bars to drink at and the other resturants - no need to leave the complex if you didn't want to. Patissierie was lovely - delightful pastries, cakes & ice cream. We have all put on weight during the 2 weeks there!
Animation team kept everyone busy with darts, waterpolo, volleyball, shooting, archery and water games in the pool. "Ali" (not the waiter!) was superb helping people learn to do archery and shooting.Swimming pools although cold were the centre of the complex around which most of the day time activities took place.
Entertainment in the evenings was limited but this could have been because it was early on in the season. In the main bar where some of the entertainment took place they needed more seating but that was the only downsides to the complex.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Staff remembered us which makes you feel good when you think how many people pass through a hotel in a year. We met new friends & previous guests & enjoyed every minute. Only complaint was being charged extra for 'deluxe' room when we stayed in the exact same room the first time with no extra to pay ~ maybe we could stay in same room without having to pay over the top when we return for fourth time ~ we will see! Cannot wait to go back in 2012. Believe me once you try this hotel you will return again & again....Carole, Malc & Nathan xxx
