Babadan Apartments

Babadan Aprtments are clean but very basic. No TV in room and we were allocated a room in the roof/eves of the hotel which was unbareably hot on arrival. Paid for the air conditioning at about £25 per week instantly (only in bedroom, so we all sat in there mostly). Not that we used it much but the kitchen units were well used and some hinges broken. The small oven hobs came on at will and had to be unplugged (not the best if you are self catering). Staff are very friendly and helpful at all times and want you to participate every evening ?. Hotel is very clean everywhere and well maintained and cleaners do a great job every other day. Hotel and resort prices are approx. £2-£2.50/ beer, £7-£12/ evening meal per head, £1.25 sunlounger on beach/ day and believe me you will need to venture down there unless you want to be up at 6:30am each morning to scrabble for a lounger by the pool (for us this became too annoying every day). Enjoyed some nice sightseeing trips, with the cleopatra beach trip fabulous as you stop off at small coves on way to swim from boat and not overcrowded. We used local tour operators as much cheaper, but check what is involved in the trip first before booking (plenty to compare with). The beach is not overcrowded, probably due to the shingle stoney sand. Be prepared to be asked to go into every bar/restuarant every evening without fail, but there are some great places to eat out of the main drag with suberb food quaility. Overall a good holiday but not one for a return annually.

I went to babadan aparts with my 2 children and parents. had great time! would recomend theese aparts to anyone. but get up early if u want a sunbed by the pool!. The staff are brilliant and go out of their way to make sure u have a good time. lesley xxxx

We stated at Babadan Apts twice, the last occasion in October 2007. It's a nicely presented complex which is popular with families. As an older couple we were much happier in apartment 1 which faced on to the street rather than on to the pool so we requested apartment 1/2 for our second visit and got apartment 12 which is right beside the bar! Horror. However, that's when we discovered that they have an annex which was much more to our taste. It's across the road at the back of the hotel and very quiet.
We found the staff very helpful and the apartments very clean. The location was also good.

Well it's 3* but it was clean with clean towels, floor, bedding. The shower is about 700mm {compact} so it was small. You get one free toilet roll, so use it wisely, and don't forget NOT to put it in the toilet, but in the bin!
Shower before 4 pm or forget it - that's Turkey for you! Else there's no hot water.
There was far less hassling, although some people may not like it. Just say no! If you feel really threatened report it. They may get a penalty.
Be careful where you change your money and ALWAYS count it in front of them before leaving. We had 100 lira missing on the first count, which miraculously appeared on the second count! That was in Marmaris 2 yrs ago mind, but be careful.
Eating out was fab. I recommend a Black&White steak from "Pop In" - Oscar's place.
The "Romance" restaurant is good food & good show.
I've never eaten so many good steaks!
Don't be too offended if the Turks round up the money to the nearest 10 or something. Remember it's pennies really. 10 Lira (YTL) ~ £4 so even 1 YTL ~ 40p. Peanuts as a tip!
The Babadan hotel uses a swipe card, instead of money at the pool bar etc. which is a pain if your not told, but can be good if you don't want to carry money. We kept ours as a keep sake! {pretty picture}
The pools 2+1 are usually crystal clean. No life guards. The air con gives the usual smell, but in July is a must. Safes are small, in lobby. Their food is okay - omelettes were nice as you can add stuff.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Icemeler is a nice, quieter version of Marmaris. At least you can eat your food in peace here, as in Marmaris the traffic is busy. We recommend Marmaris as well, mind you.
Try to get a room away from the bar if you like quiet, and ours had a play area right outside on the ground floor. It was in good order but the ground was grass & gravel.
There's security all night and it felt safe. The layout means you can't walk from room to room down corridors, as they are all separated.

Just arrived back from icmeler last week! Put it this way, i cried when the coach pulled up for us to go. All the staff came to wave us off and they all looked really sad too. The stay at the apartments was fantastic, i couldn't recommend a better place! Nafiz the night receptionist was lovely, as was the rest of the staff- hakan, ozzy, the barman ( im sooo sorry i dont know how to spell his name) Elvis ( the shop man) please if you do go to babadan, when you first meet him shout 'iceeee creamm', you will know why as your holiday goes on , trust me! ,and the rest of the gang! Everytime you walked through the restaurant area they greeted you and made you feel so welcome! The rooms were cleaned everyday and bed sheets were changed twice a week i think, the maid always did a fancy shape with the towels ( made them into lovehearts etc). There are two pools, if you want a quieter day in the sun then i'd recommend the back pool as the front pool has music playing more or less all day. Prices are fairly cheap at the shop, just the same as most of the supermarkets around the apartments. Nightlife is literally round the corner, but the apartments are set in a quiet area so don't worry you wont be having any sleepless nights ( eventhough entertainment finishes at 12 anyway). If you are young, i extremely reccomend a night in eastenders night club, it doesnt close til 4am and u could literally stay in there all night, there's foam parties everynight and its just a crazy night! We stayed for the turkish night one saturday and it was great! All the staff had you dancing ( like they do everywhere in turkey) and the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back next year, im even considering moving there to be honest! Babadan apartments are wonderful, i extremely reccomend it!!!!

this was a great holiday just like my big cuz also said .the hotel the bar staff ,hotel staff even the other hotel guests were very nice .this is a 10/10 place to go for a holiday .p.s .serkan my dad says are you still trying to play football

The Babadan Apartments are amazing on yourr first day it becomes a family with the staff. Mevlute,Nafiz,Mefusa And the rest the apartment is amazing. Two swimming pools and the bar staff are so friendly. Serkan is the manager of the bar and is such a funny, kind natured person once you get to no ebveryone you'll probarbly be wishing it was your home. The food is amazing I hope in future you come to the babadan. Cos i know i will. x

Just returned to the UK yesterday...gutted! Had a very memorable stay at the Babadan Apartments for the first time on my 6th visit to Turkey. It was a lovely friendly place and the people coldn't do enough for you. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone because our whole stay was very enjoyable. So a MASSIVE hug to all the staff for contributing to my best holiday ever!

We have just come back from a fabulous holiday at the Babadan Apart, the staff are brilliant and really cannot do enough for you. This was our 5th year at the Babadan and it just gets better every time. Serkan behind the bar is lovely as is Ozzy, Serkan Junior, Ebo, also Roger in the shop was fab with the children but then they are all fab with the children. Kids club was great the kids loved it they couldnt wait to get there and missed it when it was the girls day off. Icmeler is such a lovely friendly place it is clean and cheerful, there are plenty of great bars, we ate a lot at the Romace Palace with Georgie, and Vince and the rest of the gang there they make you feel so welcome you dont want to leave and mosquito cooks great food, A1 for service, you really must try it. The Babadan apartments are really clean, the maid service is A1, the apartments are basic but have everything you need from dishes, cutlery to microwaves etc. Must mention Julia, Duran, Charla and Ella the owners they are a lovely family and really look after you during your stay nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant staff at the Babadan are great theres Mustapha, Ken and the gang all fab, and Filiz and Nafiz on Reception are extremely helpful love them lots. Well i could go on and on but you really must try this for yourself its brilliant, we will back again next year if not sooner.

we have just arrived home from the babadan apts. it was one of the best holidays ever. the staff, were excellent, the waiters mustafa, garip, mevlut,hakan were the most polite and friendly people you could wish to meet. phyllis the receptionist was also very helpful, and ken was also an added bonus, always helpful. the food was fab. especially the leg of lamb. apts. didnt have a tv. which the kids were a bit disappointed with, but soon got over that. the pools were always clean and the service around the pool was good. one thing that i personally thought would be an asset is maybe get rid of the magic show and have a nice singer to listen to once a week! only a thought. the waiters alway got the kids up dancing, which they loved. kiss kiss was definately my kids favourite. all in all an excellent holiday, and as this was our 1st visit to turkey (my hubby was not keen at all) it certainly made the break into turkey a happy one. dont do what we did, and that was not to discover the canal until our 4th day, what a lively spot. the trip sun splash booked thru. bill the rep was great, so was the lunch on the boat. bill the rep was also great, nothing was to much trouble. my hubby got rushed into hospital at the end of the holiday, the doctor, and hospital staff were also very good, and a big thankyou to ALL the staff for their genuine concern for my hubby.
