Jun 2005, Mrs a chapman

We stayed at Simba in June and it was one of out best holidays yet. The bar staff were very friendly especially Bruce!!
We often paid the extra bit for our dinner which most nights was great. We went on a couple of trips one being the Turkish bath which was great and the other being a boat trip. Both pools were very clean at all times. The entertainment at night was a ok most the time was done by the bar staff but I have to say it did make you laugh.
The beach was a very little walk away but i have to say it wasn’t the nicest beach ever but the resort centre was very good to me loads of shops bars restaurants. Overall very good holiday and have booked to go back in august this year!!!

Hotel Simba was absolutely fantastic,...

Hotel Simba was absolutely fantastic, the breakfast was nice apart you do get bored of eating roughly the same thing every morning!
The Sunday roast wasn’t nice at all! But apparently the other days of the week the food at dinner was really nice! The swimming pools were fantastically clean and the staff were great fun! The entertainment was great even though we only stayed at the hotel one evening as we went into Gumbet centre every night at it was fantastic!
There were many things to do in Gumbet but the nightlife was fantastic and there were many restaurants that were nice! The Best Restaurants that we recommend that you eat in Gumbet Centre are : - The Red Dragon, Alloah and Cafe Class, these were our three favourite restaurants in the centre however the best restaurant in town was on the beach front and was called Windy Bay, this restaurant was fantastic, the food was delicious and the staff were great, especially Smiler he was hilarious!
The Bars in Gumbet centre were also good, we recommend - The Log Cabin Karaoke Bar, Roxy's Karaoke Bar, Pane Vino Bar and Ali Babas! We also recommend that you go and have a Henna Tattoo done at Dave’s Tattoo stall over the road from a restaurant called Casper’s on Bar Street! Dave was absolutely fantastic and my partner and I miss him dreadfully! Overall Hotel Simba was absolutely fantastic and we shall be going back soon and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
And as for Gumbet it has got to be the best foreign resort we have ever been to and we’ve been to lots!!!!! We had the best holiday ever.

May 2005, Mrs S Hutchinson

My husband and I and our 3 children stayed for 14days what can I say it was fantastic the food the staff everything about it. Dolphin and Charlie from the bar made our holiday they are both one in a million. We were made to feel like royalty. I was worried about our children’s safety before I went but the Simba's security is fantastic too. I would recommend it to anyone we like it so much we have booked to go back next June with a family we also meet there on our first week. Thank you to all Simba staff, especially to Charlie and dolphin miss you guys a lot. Also thanks to the maid for all the fresh flower arrangements left on our beds everyday. See you next year. Xx

The Hotel Simba is a clean hotel with...

May 2005, Mr

The Hotel Simba is a clean hotel with a pleasant view over the bay. Bedding and towels are changed daily and floors mopped daily too. It isn’t too far from the beach and the main street into Gumbet, beach around 500 metres away and walkway takes you across front of bay.
Unfortunately the Hotel runs a charge card system for payments over the bar, restaurant and shop this can prove quite troublesome and expensive. The prices within the complex are expensive compared to Gumbet town prices. BUT.... the biggest problem is the fact you CANNOT take any food or drink into the hotel hence the reason food or drink is so expensive.
We found it cheaper to eat at the friendly little lokanta called SMILEYS in the Admira Hotel at the bottom of the road where the friendly staff serve some tasty food (you cant miss it, it has a boat as the bar.) the cuisine contains a varied menu of both English and international food available. Sorry Simba you lose out on price and the boot camp attitude to bringing food and drinks into your complex. I pity the guards who are made to enforce this because they get a lot of grief for it.

I went to turkey and stayed at the hotel Simba, it is incredibly clean, and everyone is very friendly especially Charlie, Dolphin and Mehmet , they made your holiday well worth it.
There was plenty to do and you never got bored coz there was always something to do.
Charlie was gorgeous and I saw him in the Jasmine in July 2005, and he still remembers me, I miss him loads.
I recommend this hotel 2 anyone coz it is really good, it is spotless.
