My wife and I spent 2 weeks at the Rhythymnon Beach Hotel in Rhythymnon, Crete at the begining of October 2011. The hotel was exceptionally good in most ways. The staff were helpful, the food and service in the restaurants were of a high standard as were the other amenities but drinks were expensive. The bedrooms alas were not of the same standard. They were clean and had all the facilities needed but not as attractive as shown in the brochure. In spite of this I would still recommend a stay here.

Spent 14 nights at the Rithymna Beach (6-20 Oct 11). Were very pleased with everything except for the bedroom - it was not of 5 star standard. Everything else was faultless including all the staff who were so genuinely helpful in every way. The cuisine was of a good and varied standard, but drinks (Alcoholic and Non) were expensive and that was the opinion of other guests too.
Certainly worth another visit, but October is too late in the season for good reliable weather. On this occasion we only had 5 good days out of a total of 14.

dark side:
poor location on the road and long way to highway
poor neighborhood
pretty the same food all over 5 days of our stay.no
drink for free(even for "all includers).you have buy
every glass.
nothing for kids at all to do.
inner pool cold and deep with "windtunnel" with no
lifeguard-no possibility to lieve children alone.
"children club" is useless as we lieve the hotel in
morning for amusing the children..
no shows in evening(in first visit to crete it was every day in other hotel)
hyperprimitive gym.
good side:
very cleen(sometimes just forget to cleen the room)
very friendly
lovely view and air
nice family rooms(separate from children)
in this particular hotel one can use some credit cards
(not all of them)
helpfull car rental
