Ramira Beach Hotel

Having just returned from Kos, the area of Psalidi, is very quite, buses or taxi run to Kos Town very often.
The hotel complex itself looks lovely from the outside supposed to be 4 star hotel, I would not rate this as this maybe a 2 Star. The rooms are very spacious, the air conditioning leaves a lot to be desired, and if you want to be eaten alive by mosquitoes, and coach roaches then this is the place to sleep on beds with the springs poking through!
The hotel restaurant, the food is very much the same day in day out, with yet again plenty of mossies whilst you eat, and fans being used to keep the food cool . I did not see any refrigeration for the salad bar, just on marble top units, but the staff are very nice and friendly the waiter and waitresses could not be faulted.
The pool area is quite a let down no shallow end for non-swimmers, a sudden drop off the steps to 2metres deep and going into 3metres. the grids around the pool are very insecure allowing people to trip up around the wet and slippery floor.
To the beach.............. beach........ fine ,all pebbles and shingle, described in brochure as a lovely beach, sun beds are free that is a bonus but the beds certainly need replacing. The beach bar serves better food than the Main restaurant.
The gardens, are being watered constantly during the day, making the tiled pathway very slippery indeed.
In the course of our stay there my children fell and injured themselves on these paths. Broken glass is a constant hazard.
Entertainment......... how much bingo does one want in 2 weeks. The animation was great these could not be faulted, maybe the usual routine of shows need to altered, and we saw these over 3 years ago!
Back to the rooms..... be sure to take a shower before 6.30pm or it wills a cold shower and take plenty of Jungle Spray with you.
