Albion South Beach

This hotel is in a great location - about 5 mins walk to the beach, Ocean Drive area and Lincoln Road which has lots of restaurants, cafes and bars.
There is no car park but the hotel does offer valet parking at $25 per day and you can have your car in and out whenever you want. However, as a car is not required here we put ours in a public car park a couple of blocks away at $8 a day.
The hotel is in art deco style and the lobby area is very retro! All white leather and waterfalls with coloured cushions. The reception staff were helpful and we found the room to be a good size but the bathroom was very small.
We had booked a room with king size bed but we did see a room with double bed which was a lot smaller than ours. We were glad we paid the extra to upgrade.
The furnishings were lovely in the room and there was a CD player as well as TV, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, as well as the necessary air conditioning.
The room was cleaned daily with plenty of clean towels provided.
The pool area is lovely - lots of multi coloured cushions on aluminium sun loungers and brollies around the heated pool. Towels are provided and we found that no-one reserved any beds. The pool does have a few rust marks around it but seemed clean.
There's a small cafe in the hotel which offers breakfast, snacks and drinks, although we didn't eat there due to the vast choice in South Beach.
There's free internet access in the cafe area and newspapers. The hotel is situated near bus stops to get around Miami for $1.50 per journey or $0.25 around South Beach.
I found this hotel to have a reasonable rate for a central hotel with pool area.
