I have never written a holiday review before but felt I had to defend the bad reviews this hotel has received so far since its reopening in May of this year. The hotel will be the first to admit they encountered teething problems to begin with but this hotel is striving to be the very best and this shows throughout, with the staff, management and the appearance of the hotel itself. Firstly, our check in was excellent, we were in our room within about twenty minutes, we were escorted there and also had our cases delivered to the room at the same time. First impressions were that this hotel is spotless and this never altered for the whole week we were there. The whole hotel is cleaned daily and the maid service was exactly the same, with balconies swept daily as well as the walkways to the rooms and Tea/coffee and complimentary water was well replenished every day. The meals were excellent, with many choices at breakfast, lunch and evening meal. It is buffet style for all meals and the food was cooked to a very good standard. The staff were very helpful and polite and you only had to ask for something and it was done immediately. Tables were quickly cleared and the management present ensured smooth running at all times to reduce any waiting time when it became busy. The hotel does provide entertainment both in the evening and the animation team provide activities during the day which you are able to take part in if you so wish. They do not pressure you to do any activity and they often walked round just having chats with holidaymakers which I found made you feel very welcome as my friend and I spoke to them on many occasions. The evening entertainment is improving all the time as the hotel introduce new acts and with the shows being in the open by the pool it creates a very relaxing atmosphere and the bar serving drinks are very quick so you are never waiting around. The entertainment also finishes at a reasonable hour so we found the hotel very quiet at night which was great for sleeping. You never got the noise or slamming of doors and we couldn't even hear the people in the rooms next door. The air conditioning is great which you need at night, it isn't noisy and it has several settings so you can adjust it to what is best for yourselves. The rooms are very nicely furnished and the flashing lights in the shower are great, pipe music into it and you can have yourself a little disco in there! The rooms are open plan but the door on the toilet is frosted and part of the shower door is too. The bathroom part to the room is sectioned off so there is no need for anybody to worry about being embarrassed. I shared a room with my best friend and we didn't find this opening planning a problem at all and we still had our privacy. The location of the hotel is fantastic with stunning views across to Turkey and on a bus route into Kos Town which only takes about ten minutes. Buses run until midnight so you can enjoy some evenings in the town without worrying about getting back to the hotel. The spa isn't complete at the hotel yet but they are offering spa treatments at the hotel next door and my friend and I went for this one afternoon and it was worth it because we had a full body spa pool jet massage. This more than made up for the facilities not being available at the hotel and the customer relations manager, a very nice lady called Miss Maria, arranges this for you because the hotel are trying to make ammends so that your holiday is not impacted on in any way. We also celebrated my friends birthday on our last night and Miss Maria had arranged for a birthday cake for her and we had a wonderful evening in the a la carte restaurant where Miss Maria even popped in to say hello and wish my friend a happy birthday which we thought was a very nice gesture. Overall, this hotel is striving to be the very best, the hotel is fantastic, the staff are excellent and want you to have the best holiday ever, nothing is too much trouble and you only have to ask and Miss Maria is there for you to ensure that your holiday experience is everything you want it to be. I thank each and every one of the members of staff who work at the Oceanis, from the office staff, cleaners, bar staff, entertainment staff, restaurant staff, Miss Maria and anybody else who helps to make this hotel one of the best my friend and I have ever stayed in. We have already talked about returning next year so for anybody reading this review before you choose this hotel for your holiday, rest assured, you will choose well and have the best time.

We have just returned from our week at this hotel. We were a family of four, we had two rooms as our boys are age 18 and 19. Both rooms were large and spacious and had a fridge in the room. Each room had a balcony, our room caught the evening sun which was a bonus. The boys room got no sun at any time of the day, this suited them.
The rooms were well used, one wall had a fabric back drop, this we discovered covered a multitude of holes, switches etc both rooms had this. Do not let this put you off. The rooms were very clean and the cleaners did a very good job keeping them that way (even with a room that two teenage boys shared). The hotel was spotless, cleaners were on the go from morning until night. The hotel is big and has a lot of room to move around, all public area are spacious, and plenty of room for all.
The pools were great and never packed, plenty room for everyone and no nonsense regards the laying down of towels. This was helped by the fact that you could very easily move from the pool area onto the beach. The beach was shingle but again very clean and room for all. We stayed bed and breakfast and found the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice, staff pleasant and efficient.
The bus to Kos town is right outside the entrance to the hotel (buy your ticket at reception as it is cheaper), the bus drivers like to pack people in.
In the car park of the hotel you can hire push bikes, beach buggies, or quads and mopeds. The boys hired a quad and a buggy, they had a great time touring the Island but agree that one days rental was enough to let them see the whole Island. We hired the push bikes and the mopeds. We enjoyed both. Insist that you try on your helmet before you leave. It has recently become an offence if you do not wear a helmet and you can be fined 350 euro. We were well on our way to the other side of the Island on our mopeds when my helmet started to blow off and it spoiled our trip a bit just because we had the wrong size of helmet on.
We also took the boat from Kos town to Bodrum in Turkey. It was only a 45 min trip over and we had a great time. When buying the tickets for this trip negotiate the price. Do not go on a Tuesday or Friday as this is the days the markets take place and it is very busy. The hotel has tennis courts, crazy golf, and a sauna and it was all free.
This hotel exceeded our expectations and we felt it was worthy of it's four stars.

We booked this hotel only a few weeks before we intended to travel and upon arrival it did look the same as in the brochure which was good. This year it was advertised as an 'adults only' hotel so we went along with our 17 year daughter and 21 year old son for a weeks relaxation. The hotel was clean and spacious and almost like a 'boutique' hotel. Could not fault this part of it. As a family though we did feel out of place as it was all couples. We spoke to the rep on this point and she said that families did come to this hotel so not to worry about it. Apparently next year it is going to be advertised as a couples only resort. The hotel is in a very quiet location but there is a bus service right outside which runs regularly so you can easily get out and about. Kos Town is worth a visit (and there is a McDonalds there!) The pool area is very nice and has a view of the beach/sea. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and on the beach so no early morning trips to make sure you can save one. The bedroom was nice with an extremely comfy bed, a fridge with a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival and a bottle of water provided every day. The bad side to the room is there is no door to the bathroom - the shower cubicle is see through (which for couples is ok but not families/friends) and the toilet door is also see through and does not go from floor to ceiling which I found totally unacceptable. The entertainment during the day is the usual water aerobics, water polo etc. The evening entertainment is hit and miss. With regards to the food, this is the only part of the hotel which would stop me coming back again - it was disgusting. It was all lukewarm and not English orientated at all. Me and my daughter hardly ate. Breakfast was the most edible part so would fill up on this and then get a ham toastie from the snack bar for dinner. I have never been to a hotel where the All Inclusive food has been this bad. Other guests complained about it apparently and it improved for one night and then slipped back. The mini market was poor and quite sparse. The staff were friendly enough.
All in all, to sum up, very nice hotel and location, poor food and lovely not having young children around the pool and restaurant screaming and crying. Very relaxing hotel where we put no weight on,
