No money wasted on fancy fixtures and fittings but then who goes on holiday to spend all week in their room!!
Comfortable and adequate affordable family rooms.
Entertainment courtesy of Kim and Carl and team was second to none. Superfamily it certainly was 24/7.
A very special couple of weeks to meet many new friends in a safe environment. We may not have found the way to Amarillo but we certainly new all the words and actions to get us there!
Thompson organised trips were not cheap but excellent value for money. Any adrenaline junkies must take the land rover safari trip!
Lots of cafes bars and restaurants close by but no noisy nightclubs within earshot! Good local food for the adventurous but still plenty of favourites (with chips) for the kids.
You have to be mad not to take a holiday here!

This was our second Thomson super family holiday and they didn’t disappoint us.
Carl and Kim the two main entertainers were fantastic. Both got everyone involved and knew everyone by their names making sure you had a great time.
The kids Reps were fantastic making sure my lot were occupied and overall with Kim and Carl the Rep shows and other entertainment were super.
We decided to stay half board and on reflection the food was very good value compared to local restaurants.
If you want a relaxing or quiet holiday this isn’t for you but if you want to join in with the activities and have a laugh and meet some great people including the guests then give it a go.
P.s does anyone know a song the Reps danced to in kiddies disco. Goes something like "You put your fingers in front you put your fingers behind you do the boogie woogie"
My kids are going barmy for this so if anyone knows the song title or artist can u email me at andy*****01@hotmail.com
Once again many thanks the Thomson Team:)

We’ve been on many Thompson Superfamily an Airtours Suncentre holidays but this has been one of the best!!! The rooms where cool, clean and nicely furnished and the rest of the hotel was also wonderfully finished.
There were loads of facilities to keep you entertained for the whole two weeks without even leaving the site! The restaurant was reasonably priced if you wanted to stay in for a night with lots of different buffet options or there are plenty of bars and restaurants within 2/3 minuets walking distance! There is also many shops bars and restaurants in the centre of Protaras from typical Cypriot meals to the weird and wacky themed bars such as the Flintstones bar, or Friends pub!!!
There are many choices for good priced excursions such as the Egypt cruise or the waterpark! At the small, quite beach you can relax or take part in some great watersports, Cyprus really is a place to get some of the biggest adrenalin rushes you’ve ever felt! But the best part about are holiday was the great superfamily team! They where great fun an made you feel like an individual! There was never a dull moment and I learnt lots of new jokes to tell everyone back at home!

We stayed at the Elamaris by Crown Resorts on an Allocation On Arrival Basis. We had a 1 Bed apartment that sleeps up to 4 people. The rooms were pleasant, clean and fully equipped. The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the Hotel and from some rooms you have a beautiful sea view.
The Hotel had many facilities such as pool, pool bar, snack bar, restaurant, kids activity club, tennis court and much much more. Most importantly it had the Thomson SuperFamily entertainment team which was absolutely FANTASTIC. Although the hotel is only 3*, it has been finished and has many facilities that are of a high standard.
It is situated about 10 mins from the centre of Protaras, but the local area has many shops including a Pizza Hut which is opposite the Hotel.
Overall it has been a pleasure staying at the Elamaris and I would like to say Thank You to the Thomson Team for a great time at the Elamaris Resort!
I would recommend that you book with Thomson as they look after you so well and offer you other activities such as the Troodos Mountain 4 wheel drive and Mini-Cruises to Egypt which I have to say are VERY reasonably priced. My family enjoyed both of the optional activities and would recommend them to all!

We stayed at the Elamaris Apartments on an allocation on arrival basis. We were pleased to have been allocated to this place as we had heard fairly positive reports about it.
The studio rooms are very basic, but functional. To be honest, they could have done with a bit of TLC in the bathrooms, but it all worked OK. We didn’t have a view at all, except the back of the next-door apartments, but as we only used it as a base to sleep and wash we didn’t mind (and, of course we got it dirt cheap as a late deal). If I was paying full price, I would have wanted better - the 1 bed rooms looked quite nice.
The facilities are reasonable, but if you want to fly 2000 miles just to stay at your hotel then you might be disappointed. We were out most nights as there is plenty to do in Protaras, just a short bus ride away. Kids ride free usually.
The pool is often regarded as too small for the size of the complex, I would have to agree. Then again, the beach is only a 2-minute walk, it has a pleasant outlook, with the Blue Bay Restaurant situated on it. Food at the restaurant is cheap and fairly quick, ice creams are always given to the kids for nothing and the adults will get a small glass of local spirit. A far cry from the indistinguishable fare that is served at the Hotel itself. This is quite typical of Cyprus Hotel food though, unless you are staying in a top-notch place. It is easy to eat close by though and always much better.
The beach is really a little cove, typical of the area. The water is flat, but can get deep quite quickly. It is clean and well kept, with a small jetty at the far end where you can catch the Coca Cola boat for tours around the local coastline. It is not expensive and provides for a swim in the crystal blue waters here. Canoes are £2 for an hour, but nobody cares if you take longer. The kids loved them.
Off the beach, in the evening, there are several foody places to go to. We usually ended up in Pizza Hut, although there are plenty of others to choose from. Kids eh? Protaras is close enough to pop in to, and offers a much wider selection of bars and places to do things.
I would recommend that you hire a car(a 4x4 is usually easy to find). Do it for at least a week and take a tour of the island, it is only a 2 hour drive from one end to the other at a reasonable speed. There are police with speed guns here now, so beware. The history at the Paphos end is worth a look and Polis is really quite scenic. The Troodos area is always worth a look, especially if you like to get off the beaten track. Don’t go too far off though, unless you like vertical drops just inches from your axles.
All in all, the Elemaris is a perfect base for a relaxing break, there is enough to do locally and more is available just a little further. Beaches are nice around here, smaller and more secluded than perhaps Nyia Napa for instance. The staff are pleasant and helpful, the Thomson staff are the same.
I would definitely come here again, especially on a cheap deal if possible.
Just one note of warning though, I hope that they have sorted out the false fire alarms by now. Early mornings, and I mean 2-3 o’clock in the morning is not funny, even on holiday.
Hope this was helpful.

Excellent holiday and a good resort with quite a few bars and restaurants to choose from nearby including Pizza Hut. Bennigans is in the same block as the Hotel and the food is very good if a little bit pricey. Blue Spice is is an Italian restaurant and definitely worth trying so ask the reps how to get there, 10 minute walk.
We heard bad reports about the hotel food and tried it one night with a competition prize and would have been very disappointed if we had paid for full board. The hotel had special offers on and you could get 10 nights half board for C£55, this would have cost a lot more if booked with the holiday.
Entertainment for kids is really good, my six year old son wanted to go to every kids club session and he wouldn't miss the entertainment at night for anything; the reps were fantastic.
We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean and had everything you need, but it was a bit basic.
Protaras centre is about 25 minutes walk away where you have a better choice of bars, restaurants (including McDonalds) and shops.
We hired a jeep from a local car hire company who charged £25 for just under half a tank of petrol which I later found out would only cost about £12!! No refund given and we weren't the only one to complain about this charge. So be warned and go for car hire which does not include petrol.
Would definitely recommend the Elamaris to families with younger children, not a lot for teenagers to do, and if there was a creche I would have given it 10/10.
