More Traveller Reviews of Tasia Maris Gardens Apartments
our best holiday to date
from alicetaylor80
this was out visit as a family to these apartments and it was excellent. We dined at the Tasia Maris Hotel next door and the food was excellent. The apartments were clean and spaceous. I felt cheated that the air conditioning had to be bought in such a hot country but it was needed. The pool area was clean at all times and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were that pleased with the holiday that we are returning in August 08 this year. Mrs S Dent Scunthorpe, North Lincs. England

When Tasia Maris Gardens first appeared on our radar as possible holiday accommodation we were a bit concerned that its close proximity to the notorious resort of Ayia Napa might be a disadvantage but in the event our concerns were groundless. TMG was built about four years ago and still has a freshness about it helped by constant cleaning. Throughout our stay the whole place was kept very clean and tidy. The complex comprises 22 villas each containing a lower and upper apartment and a main building containing 4 apartments, reception, meeting room, bar, restaurant, luggage store, sauna and steam room. All upper apartments have balconies. Twelve of the villas (24 apartments) and the 4 apartments in the main building overlook the pool area. Our apartment seemed to be well designed and had plenty of space for the two of us (rough dimensions: bedroom 15ft x 12ft, kitchen/sitting room 20ft x 10ft, balcony 11ft x 7ft) and was equipped with the basics for self-catering. The twin beds were of holiday accommodation quality i.e. very firm and not very comfortable. Electricity is 220 – 240v supplied via UK style three pin sockets plus the usual two pin shaver socket in the bathroom. A safe in the wardrobe is available for £5 per week. A refundable deposit of £10 is required to obtain a remote control for the TV. There is an aircon unit in the bedroom which comes as part of the package and another in the sitting room for which you have to pay £3 per day. Even in October we found it necessary to use the aircon in the sitting room so in the height of Summer it would be an absolute necessity. Our view is that charging extra for an essential piece of equipment such as aircon is going a bit too far and is to be deplored. Hot tip. Check out time is 11:00 hrs but for guests catching a late flight home it may be possible to keep the apartment until 18:00 hrs at a charge of £20. Local management suggests that the extra time is reserved about two days before leaving but this may be too late because other guests may have got in before you. Far better to place your reservation soon after arriving in the resort or even at the time of booking the holiday. If all else fails it may be possible to reserve a late check out room at the Tasia Maris Beach Hotel just across the road. The small and very attractive pool area has been designed to be more a feature than a swimming pool. It seemed to be very safe and popular with young children. There were plenty of sunbeds and we never had any difficulty in getting one whatever the time of day. Some of the beds are beginning to show their age and need to be replaced. A small poolside snack bar serves quite a wide range of reasonably priced food and drink (full English breakfast £3.30). We believe that the general presentation and image of the pool area would be improved by the removal of the somewhat tacky holiday company umbrellas. Mercifully there is no entertainment laid on at TMG but for those people who enjoy such events there seems to be something on most evenings at the Tasia Maris Beach Hotel. (when booking an apartment there is an option to include breakfast which is served at the Tasia Maris Beach Hotel. It is a comprehensive buffet which is very good value for money). Within a short walking distance of TMG there are several well stocked supermarkets, one or two reasonable restaurants, a pharmacy and a currency exchange outlet. There is also a bus stop nearby. If we had to use one word to sum up TMG that word would be CONVENIENCE. Everything is just so easy and to hand that within minutes of unpacking you can get straight into relaxed holiday mode and remain there until dragged struggling and screaming to the departure coach. Altogether highly recommended. The TMG has the makings of a five star resort but is let down by charging for aircon. We therefore give it four stars.
Ideal For Families
from SmileyDave
Having read the reviews on here about Tasia Maris Appartments everyone was spot on, We arrived with two children and a mother inlaw for (babysitting purposes) and the apartment was more than adequate, Fee air con in bedroom although in main room/ kitchenette it was chargeable by the day, worth it though as cyprus temps can be rather hot.Well equipped appartment with everything you need for self catering. Minor niggle was no iron in appartment although available in reception was a room where iron and board was provided there to use. Safe In wardrobe requiring £5 deposit for the key returnable on leaving. First class maid service. Spotlessly cleaned everday & also towels change every day. Only ate there once rang for room service for full english breakfast and ten minutes later arrived with a massive plate full, ( be warned comes with chips) @ 9.30 in morning!.Well worth it though. Ideal family place to stay, Sandy Bay beach literally out the rear of the complex with beach bar & watersports. Walkway goes from there along the seafront across to Nissi Beach and the Bungee crane rather than walking along the main road to Nissi. While mother in law looked after kids me & wifey walked in to the town ( the square ). Nice walk 15 to 20 minutes although taxi was only 4euros or 5 if you didnt ask how much before you got in. Never managed to walk back though due to all the free shots you get provided free when you buy your drinks. Tended to weaken you legs and make them go wobbly. There were plenty of families in the square at night with kids so dont be put off thinking its adults only. Absolutly loads of good places to eat within 2 or 3 minutes of Tasia or in the town itself including the kids favourates Mcdonalds - Pizza Hut - Burger King - Kentucky. To sum up transfer time by coach from Larnaca is 35 minutes, Excellent clean children friendly complex not too big caters for all ages alike .Worth a stay can be as quiet or as noisy as you want due to the location away from the center
Lovely Apartments!!

I stayed at these apartments in mid-July with a friend, they are in the Nissi Beach area about a 10 drive from Ayia Napa so your out of the madness. The beach Sandy Bay?? is virtually on the door step or if you prefer something a bit nicer then Nissi Beach is about a 10-15 walk. There are shops nearby (although nothing on site which was a little disappointing) and as we arrived quite late not a lot was open. The apartmments themselves were lovely, very clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The apartments are blocks of 4 and 2 storeys, we requested a top floor and a pool view both of which we got! The pool is definetely one of the best features! Entertainment wise i dont think there is much going on here at night, but if you go to the Tasia Maris Hotel just across the road there is a lot more going on there, and there are lots of restaurants in the area (tribute acts are big here!!) The staff were really nice the manager even comes out to wave goodbye when everyone leaves (which i thought was a nice gesture). The food is good, we stayed self catering but ate at the pool bar a few times and prices were reasonable. Overall i would say this is an ideal place for families with kids or couples, or like myself and my friend looking for a place in Ayia Napa thats not full of 18 year old boys!! Highly recommended!!
could not fault it

We returned from Tasia Maris Gardens 06th Aug 07, what a great place. First impressions very clean, lovely pool, the apartments are very nice and spacious, the staff are lovely. there was a lot to do in the area. Ayia Napa town centre was only 25 mins from apartments which was a nice distance as it can get a bit busy in July and August. There are bars and restaurants that have evening entertainment just out side the apartments and also further along nissy avenue. There is no entertainment in the apartments which is a good thing as its a nice quite place to return to after an evening out. I liked the fact that there are only 48 apartments, so it never got crowded. The beach (Sandy bay) at the rear of the apartments was lovely you have beach bars and restaurants on the beach but the only thing was the water there wasnt clean, but nissy bay was a short walk away along the coastal walk which gets busy but the waters cleaner there, you also had a few more beaches as you walked further along the front . The weather was lovely there was hardly a cloud in the sky when we were there. This was the nicest apartments we have been to yet, we wouldnt hesitate to return next year, we are so sad to be home.
Lovely Apartments, Great Weather

Stayed from end of July to beginning of August. Apartments were clean, and a good size with a patio or balcony. Most were located facing the pool area which gives a fantastic view. Well equiped kitchenette. Air Conditioning in bedroom, we requested it in the Living area which was needed. It was nice to be able to open your patio doors and sit out on the patio of an evening to eat or have a few drinks. The food served in the Pool Bar Area was plentiful and with a great choice, also served drinks, ice creams, and had a happy hour most days. Pool is lovely and it doesn't get particularly crowded around the pool as there are on 48 apartments within the complex. There appears to be enough sunbeds for everyone - although people do reserve them quite early in the morning. Weather was very hot we were at the end of a Heatwave the second week was more bearable. The beach was about a 3 minute walk away outside of the back of the Apartments. The sunbeds were about £6.50 cypriot pounds for 3 sunbeds and 2 unbrellas, not particularly cheap. The beach was nice the sea bed was rocky and was quite deep it did not shelve gently so beware with young children. There is nothing to do in the Apartments in the evenings so you have to go outside for entertainment. There are many restaurants within a short walking distance from the Apartments, we went to Wild West, Applebelle's, Orange Grove, an Italian Restaurant - all served pretty much the same food, but there is a vast menu with traditional greek/cypriot dishes all of which were reasonable value and good to eat. There are Supermarkets just across the road which sell everything so if you want to make a sarnie at lunch you can do. Would recommend - although Cyprus is not cheap but who cares you are on holiday!!
The best holiday ever!!!

Me and my partner stayed here for two weeks. The apartments were lovely. Everything you could think of for self catering. Spacious and clean. Air conditioning in the bedroom and in the living room at a charge (but well worth the money). Reception staff were very helpful, especially Thomas. Everyone was lovely. The beachs are amazing with the clearest sea I have ever seen. Ended up getting engaged on the beach (cant get better than that). Would highly recommend.

Tasia Maris Gardens...! Not to be confused with the Tasia Maris Sands or the Tasia Maris Hotel both adjacent, don't bother with them stay at the Gardens as it cant be beaten...The rooms are excellent good size spotlessly clean, fully loaded i.e:TV,Hairdryer,Aircon,Toaster, kettle, all the kithen untensils you need...the locations of the gardens is brilliant,15mins walk to Nissi Beach,15 mins walk to the centre of Ayia Napa so for us perfect as i went with my two young kids so not too noisy at night and us and the kids could get a good nights kip!,the pool was special...great for the kids and adults alike...Im sitting having just returned trying to find a minus about the place...but i just can't!!!

The Tasia Maris gardens had been changed to all inclusive from self catering so this was going to be a plus point straight away, and we were definately not disappointed. We stayed in an apartment which walked right out onto the pool, there was loads of space to spread out... more
