" excellent holiday "

just back from 14 nights in the kos bay view - now called panorama family! I was there with my husband and 3 childre aged 9, 6 and 2 there were also another 4 adults in our party. I was worried about going to this hotel after reading some of the reviews but we had an excellent holiday and the kids did'nt want to come home!
the animacion team were brilliant, kids club and games during the day and entertaining in the evening. food was good with lots of variety and rooms were huge!, the hotel will also provide you with a packed lunch if you go out on any trips, and the beds are'nt as hard as made out in other reviews!!!
we went out on a few trips but not through the thomas cook as you can get them cheaper by going into kos town and booking them yourself!
i would definatley recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

" Just back from Kos and stayed for two... "

Just back from Kos and stayed for two weeks, all inclusive at Kos Bay View Hotel. We were due to be staying at the Kos Aqua Hotel but had been told at short notice it was overbooked (even though we found out this was not the case) and were given the option of the Kos Bay View Hotel.

We were given a one bedroom apartment which was very clean and spacious. There was air conditioning in both rooms, complimentry water and additional extra's. For example, one of my son's had his 4th birthday while in Kos and when we returned to the hotel after a trip there was a birthday cake waiting in the room.

The staff at the hotel were excellent and were always more than willing to help. All the staff were great with the children, and always had time to stop and speak to them. There were club's for the children and we were initially apprehensive because there seemed to be no procedures for the registration for the children or the monitoring of the adult/child ratio. However, the children did go with the team and they really enjoyed their time with them.

The animation team were responsible for both the daytime activities and the evening entertainment. Their day's were very long and the lack of time dedicated to the evening show's was reflected in the show's. Alot of the show's involved the entertainer's miming to the music and sometimes not very well. We only watch one show until the end in two weeks because they weren't great. However, the staff did try to do their best with time they had.

There was alot of choice when it came to the food and there was a selction for the children, even though our boy's kept to the spagetti bolognese or chips.

We did not see very much of our Thomas Cook rep even when he was scheduled to be at the hotel. We would check the board to double check times and had to call the office on more than one occasion to find out where the rep was.

We did not book any of the trips with the rep (and they weren't promoted by the rep anyway) and booked directly in Kos. We went to Bodrum for a total of 46 Euro's for a family of four including the tax. The cost with the rep was around 46 Euro's for 1 adult!

Overall the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed our time there. We were in the minority of British in the first week but this changed in the second. The experience with the travel company did not meet our expectations but this will be forwarded on.

" The Hotel is in a great situation... "

The Hotel is in a great situation & Quiet!! Very friendly staff who were helpful and adoring of our baby son. The giant A/C room is really cool which is great as it gets really hot. The hotel is clean, food is excellent with a wide choice of fish, vegeterean meals and meats. The whole setup we found to be very relaxing and the pools are fantastic to swim in. You can go and visit other hotels in the vicinity that are more lively if you feel the need. You have to dress up a bit at dinner, trousers for men, but this actually made us feel that the nights were even more special.

Disappointments were the beach, if you are not all inclusive you have to pay for a deck chair and the beach is stony & narrow. Be aware of the travel rep flogging day trips too. We got the same trip in Kos for 30 euros, firstchoice was selling same tour to the volcano in nissiros for 50 euros. Flight back from Kos airport is manic, be prepared to wait in a queue for a long time.

we have just come back from this hotel, which was great except for 1 thing! the bed ! it was so hard we nearly fetched 2 sunbeds up to the room to sleep on! food was usual all inclusive, kids menu was spaghtti bolognase all week even my son got fed up with it! but it was always hot and the gateaux where gorgeous!
the staff were all fantastic very friendly, the van driver which takes you up and down steep hill was brilliant!
enetertainment...um i will give them benefit of doubt as it was there first week open but it was awful , painful to watch , then again it was a laugh watching them being awful....
pools were great the slides kept my 2 boys entertained ,
would go again , but if you like walking round shops at night after tea there are no shops near this hotel , 8 euros for a taxi into kos town 5 min away, well worth it sides street shops were lovely until we came across macdonalds!!!
great hotel if you want to just chill by pool, fantastic views of turkey,
4 hotels on site which you can use , go into the pananma hotel just below kos view! amazing!

" One of the best holidays we have had!... "

One of the best holidays we have had! Lots for the kids and adults. This is definitely a family hotel.

Two good size clean pools, good food, nice clean rooms and very good entertainment. We had a one bed apartment which was huge. The staff are very friendly and the animation team work very hard to entertain.

You also have use of the two other hotels facilities which are on the same complex. The only downside was that the beach was not very good and the free beach bar was only for the other two Iberostar hotels and not the Kos Bay View. This did not bother us as the hotel was so good, but if you like to spend time at good beach its a bus ride away.

" Kos Bay View what can I say other... "

Kos Bay View what can I say other than wow you must go. This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in and I have travelled a lot around the Greek Islands.

The staff cannot do enough for you, the food is excellent, entertainment good and the complex is out of this world with views to die for.

We went the end of August very hot but our two year old daughter loved it. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely be going again.

" Superb hotel staff and activity... "

Superb hotel staff and activity staff. Family holiday with my wife and two ten year old children.

The photos do not do this hotel justice. Great views. Two main pools, one for the more active inc two slides, and one out of sight for those who prefer a more relaxing time. Also free loungers on the beach. Plenty of space (although we did go early season).

Large rooms free air con and bottled water every day.

The other guests were good company. A good mixture, Poles, Germans, Dutch, Belgians, Swedes, English.

The activity staff worked really hard to entertain during the day and put on a show at night. Definitely not West End, but great fun and much appreciated.

The transfer coach driver couldn't find this hotel. Although we were glad he eventually did. It’s perched up on a hill with superb views over to Turkey. A free hotel mini bus runs up and down the hill all day and most of the night, never more than a 10 minute wait. It’s a short wait for a bus at the bottom of the hill and a 5 minute ride into Kos town. Bus tickets cheaper if purchased from reception.

Food superb, you can book to use the sister Hotels Chinese restaurant a nice change to be waited on. Also you can book Zorbas taverna (both at no extra cost) and stuff yourself until you burst.

To sum up, a superb family holiday will definitely be going back next year.

" Wow, I really enjoyed my holiday here... "

Wow, I really enjoyed my holiday here and was really sad to leave. The staff there are just fantastic they greet you with a warm smile every time they see you and you cannot fault the hotel on cleanliness its amazing.

The views from the hotel are just spectacular you can see for miles around you especially if you are in one of the higher rooms like I was. I only got back home a few hours ago and I miss it already.

I thoroughly recommend this hotel to families and couples as it is only a short bus ride from the hotel to the main town.

Happy holidays!
X

" We had previously been to an... "

We had previously been to an Iberostar hotel in Paphos ,Cyprus (The Ledra Beach) which was excellent but it was the first year that they offered the all inclusive option. We expected similar standards at the Kos Bay View but were disappointed.

The rooms are large but one of ours had a nasty damp smell, the staff and Thomas Cook rep were not interested in doing anything about the problem. The rep had no knowledge of the area but was obviously on good commission for car hire as she knew all about that!

On a positive note the food was very good but the restaurant was not air conditioned and there were lots of flies in there.

Entertainment ok for anyone who was German, under 8 yrs old and tone deaf! The hotel was clean apart from lots of plastic cups on the floor around the pool. Cocktails were good but would be better in glasses rather than plastic cups.

Overall a very expensive holiday, not good value for your hard earned cash. Maybe it would be better if you could avoid the school holidays. Finally no leg room on Thomas Cook flight.

Hoping for better this year in Malta, look out for my review.

" What can I say , a truly wonderful... "

What can I say , a truly wonderful place, Kos Bay View hotel .

We booked a late deal to Kos named , looked it up on ‘Holiday Truths’ but no mention. The hotel is just a year old.

Food is excellent everyday the bedroom suites are really big. The hotel is one of three built up a really big hill or a small mountain take your pick, this caused us no problems a nice walk down and a shuttle bus every five mins back up. But if you have elderly that are not fit this would not suit at all.

The bar staff a good but do not work on the fact that the drinks will be weak like other AI they are not. the cocktails are really good, a different menu of them every day.

A short bus ride 5 mins into Kos town you must visit, I could go on forever but I do not want to spoil anything for you all, just another thing - English are the minority, and please if you hire a quad bike please wear a helmet I saw 2 accidents while there both hit trees .
