Excellent holiday, the Maria Rousse studios are in a great location in Malia, just minutes from the bars and clubs.
Its a shame that the beach is a long walk from the studios but we hired a quad bike for the week and we went everywhere on it, I would recommend it!
The studio's are very clean. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The only thing is that there is no shower curtain around the shower so water goes everywhere.
I would definitely recommend this holiday, my boyfriend and myself had a great time and I would go back again.

Just come back from a two week holiday in Malia. Every morning and evening we had breakfast and evening meal, in a restaurant called THE HOUSE down Beach Rd. Welcomed by Yannis, Michael and Elaina it was clean ,excellent value for your euros and had a very good chef. We were sorry to be
leaving them behind. 10/10 for all.
Our apartments were Maria Rousse Apartments, which were clean and
well kept. The maids were in regularly and were pleasant.
On arrival we were shown to our rooms by the Owner George who was helpful in carrying our cases. As the room we had was not suitable for me due to the stairs, we asked if we could be moved, so they put us in an apartment on the flat.
Thank you again for your co-operation, and help, only thing was we couldn’t see a thing for Olive trees, but it will not stop us going again.

The apartment we stayed in was new, large (by Greek standards) with a great view over the mountains.
It was on the edge of town near the Old Town which we loved. The complex was clean and obviously well looked after by the owners. The down side to all of this was that maid service was to a minimum, by which I mean that you end up emptying your own kitchen and bathroom bins as the maid does this about every 3rd day. In this climate bins start to smell !! Clean towels (if you can call them that!!) are provided every 4th day.
I don’t think I have every stayed anywhere on the Greek Islands where this was the norm, never had a problem before. The owner charged guests 1 euro a day (every day) for use of a sunbed around his pool when other hotels and apartments in the area will allow you (as a non resident) in to use their sunbeds and pool area for free!! The owner will not even allow guests to drink their own water around the pool unless it was purchased at his bar.
Overall although the actual apartment was good I was not impressed overall with the "penny pinching" attitude I saw here compared to other accommodation on other Greek Islands.

Brilliant holiday. It's got to be the best I’ve ever had. Got back on 21st August and I wish i was still there.
Maria Rousse has got to be one of the best apartments I've seen in Malia. It's in such a good location. It's right near to the strip which has brilliant bars and clubs so it's not a long trek for when you're drunk. It's just a shame that it's not near the beach. The pool was lovely though. Fab holiday, see you next year!!

Just got back from Malia Sunday night the 14th Aug, was brill!!! The apartments at the Maria Rousse were lovely, shame beach was up the other end of the strip so seemed to stay by the pool, but the beach is gorgeous to, so you have to go.!
Lovely food served also at Maria Rousse and drinks. Although drinks more pricey than if you go out! But u can get an average meal there for around 5/6 euros. The old town is near to, so restaurants are up there to.
As you walk out the Maria Rousse and take a left you are right on the strip, which is the best place to be in Malia!!! So the apartments are located in a perfect place, not to noisy but a few minutes away from the night life! Bar staff friendly and around to help. There is an average size pool, pool table, bar, and phone box in the complex to. Spent about 250 pounds in 10 days!!! How goods that!!! :)

“We are having it, having it, having it very large!”
Wicked holiday me 22yrs my sister 18yrs sun, sea, sand and party and lots and lots of good looking young people too.
The hotel was lovely, clean, near night life but we could not hear any noise, and near the beach.
We were opposite the old town as well which had nice Greek restaurants.
On a self catering holiday for a week going out and drinking every night, it was so cheap we only spent £150 each. Bargain!
See you next year xx

My friend and me stopped here this year. I had an amazing time but my friend left after three days(nothing to do with the resort-well too much drinking!)
It was due to the fantastic people who work at the apartments that I felt so comfortable stopping on my own. I met the most fantastic people throughout this holiday who adopted me!
The nightlife is fantastic which you can’t fault, the people are lovely and the accommodation is nice too. A little small in the rooms but well equipped. Booked to return next year!

Maria Rousse Hotel itself is very good - rooms are clean and cleaned regularly, good pool and helpful staff.
Luckily it is also near the Old Town, which is very pretty and authentic with some very good Greek restaurants.
The rest of Malia can only be described as a dump. If you like Blackpool transported to the Med, this is the place for you!!

Just come back from ana excellent holiday yet again in Malia. The apartments are extremely clean and tidy. On arrival there is a list of rules of do's and don’ts which appear a little OTT.
The pool is nice and clean as is the eating area where food is served practically all day. There are loads of signs around the pool saying you can only eat food from the bar etc and not from the supermarket - this isn’t particularly costly. In the evening there is a security guard which at first seemed again OTT but well worth it if you stop out longer than ya mates as he will let ya in your room - not allowed any non residents in vicinity though.
The beach is a bit of a trek but definitely worth it. Hired a quad for the journey but loads of people had accidents on these and it isn’t necessarily the hire of the quad which is costly it is the insurance but who knows if that is worth the paper it is written on it???? so beware!
The bars are great and loads of nice places to eat. There is an Indian restaurant near the Union Jack pub (can’t remember the name) but food is well suspect! Great bars inc Electra, Zig Zags, Union Jack to name a few.
Overall top quality place!
