A very reasonable hotel by Greek standards.
Rooms were basic but very clean and a good-sized bathroom and shower. The owner of the hotel is a little shy, but given time does come round and is very happy to talk about his hotel or Kefalonia or whatever. The grounds/poolside was always clean and tidy and there was always plenty of sunbeds!
The location of this hotel is wonderful with close access and views of the sea. The taverna attached to the restaurant was something else. We are regular visitors to Greece (at least once a year) and we have never been in a taverna which was of such a consistently high standard in terms of service and quality and quantity of food. It was simply magnificent and we ate there some lunchtimes and most evenings. However, the real star of the holiday is Kefalonia Island.
A most beautiful island with breathtaking views and very friendly people. It was a lovely holiday and we would certainly return to the Paspalis, Skala and Kefalonia without hesitation.

A perfect holiday - we were looking for a relatively quiet holiday, and Skala can do it, as well as one or two all night bars.
The Paspalis is directly opposite the beach with only a small road to cross. The picture shown is taken from room 43, the best in the place, and where we were! The rooms are good sized with a large (for Greece) shower, air conditioner at extra cost, but worth it.
Good pool, good bar, good restaurant, but with perfect views and atmosphere. We stayed for 2 weeks and eat at the restaurant ALL the time except for 1 night, and that was in the village, but proved how good the situation of the Paspalis really is. Nikos the owner runs the place very well, always clean and tidy.
We will be returning very soon, we could not find fault, and we are seasoned travellers and fussy!

Just back from two weeks in Kefalonia. Stayed at Paspalis Hotel in Skala.
If you want a quiet & relaxing holiday, this is it. The Paspalis is in a wonderful position & although rooms are fairly basic they were clean & functional. The pool, bar, food, service & staff were brilliant. Paspalis is in a wonderful position, right on the beach road, ten minutes easy walk into Skala village with all its tavernas & restaurants, the Pines being our favourite.
The beach is mostly shingle & shelves steeply & is ideal for swimming. Not to good for children though. Sea is crystal clear. Poros is an easy bus ride of twenty minutes at 1-1/2 euros each,12 kilometres away. Did the island coach tour for 19 euros each booked on the high st. Rep wanted 38 euros each so be warned. Stunning views from the coach but mountain roads not for the faint hearted.
Brilliant island & great people. Will go back.
