Having read some of the reviews of this hotel we seriously considered cancelling our holiday but having had previous experience of good hotels being slaughtered on line we decided to give it a go and we are glad we did. The hotel is clean overall the rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels every 2nd day, the staff were friendly and though we arrived after midnight the receptionist not only showed us to our room but took the time to show us where we could get breakfast. Hotel has 4 clean pools and sunbeds with parasols are not hard to get. If people go on holiday expecting to stay at Hilton standard hotels they should also expect to pay Hilton type prices.

we arrived at the appartment at 730am,the olympic lady showed us to our room.we had a briefing at 12 noon.we found the appartment clean and tidy.no issues.they cleaned our rooms every day.we did not get clean towels but we used our own.dont think much to the kitchen area as it was just 2 rings thats it!so we just ate buttys and crackers.but there was a toaster and a kettel.kitchen area a little small,as i bumped my head on the over head cupboard ouch!bathroom average toilet, sink ,shower and a bucket as the shower over flows when you are in it.
we had a really good holiday.nothing to complain about would go again.pleasant staff and the pools are nice and a 20 minute walk to the beach.and a 20 minute walk to the town.really good for £278 for 7 days.oh and they let us have the room extra for 1 night due to late flights, room was 35 euro between 3 of us thats 11.50 each so good really.and the safety deposit box which is in reception is 15e for the week.
- Advice: it was good not a very posh posh place just average self catering, dont expect gold door knobs .

I've been going to the greek islands with my daughter for 12 years (she's now 17 ) and not once have i been disappointed with any apartments. this one was no exception. It was lovely. As with most apartments its relatively basic but if i wanted a home from home i would have stayed at home. I read some pretty nasty reviews about this place and not one was even close to the truth. I would, and most likely will, return
i fully recomend these apartments. plus, kassiopi is fabulous nice harbour good restaurants and friendly people

We've just got back from Michelangelo Village after a two week break at half board and believe me its the worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Greece (and I've stayed in lots of Greek Hotels). Too cut a long story short below are some of the issues we've had as a family of four (two adults two young kids) staying in the resort:
1) Food takes for ever to be brought out at dinner and the chef looks like he's worn the same clothes all summer (v.dirty)
2) I found a giant black hair in my desert only to be told it could have come from one of the guests (it was set into the desert!)
3) I found a wasp floating in the boiled sausages at breakfast
4) Towels where changed once in two weeks. Bed sheets weren’t changed until we complained in the second week.
5) There is no evening entertainment, as all the guests stay well clear at night due to the very poor service / food offered by the hotel.
6) They charged us EUR140 for two weeks air conditioning (we had to pay as we had a baby with us).
7) The meals are based on rice / chips / pasta and a meat based dish every single night. The meat base dish was consistently full of shattered bones which proved impossible to separate out. One night I had a whole chicken neck on my plate
I appreciated this sounds like the mother of all whinges but please stay away - its really poor and the sooner places like this are put out of business the better

The complex itself is super with 4 great pools and 2 children's pools that are clean and extremely refreshing. We did not get the 2 bed appartment we booked and there was no cot there which we have confirmation paperwork to say we had booked one. Everything we thought would be ready was not. However we were in a new studio which was lovely, very clean and pristine. The only downside was it was on the 2nd floor with no lift...bit of a pain with 2 buggies, one baby and a toddler! The cleaners came every 3 days but if you asked you got clean towels/linen. It seemed like they were really cutting costs everywhere which was a shame as it could have been thriving with all the place had to offer. The half board was not what we were expecting at all and we gave up on breakfast after day 3 and dinner after day 5 as it was awful. The bar was always empty which seemed a shame in the height of the season. The town is only a ten minute walk away and there was a great cafe/bar/restaurant just above the complex called 'Mythos' which was awesome especially when after along day we could not always be bothered to go down to the town. The cot did arrive and the air con was superb. The staff were friendly but you had to ask for everything. eg with chips served most nights what kids don't want tomato sauce? Well you had to ask for it every night! Also the salad was bland and a little dressing would have made such a difference. They also had air con in the restaurant but never once had it on. This made the meal times we did attend far too hot. The complex was on a hill and there were quite a few stairs. They did have a slope to the pool but the gate at the top was always locked...again a pain with buggies. By time you'd gone around and asked them to open it you were at the pool via the steps anyway!
We did have a lovely break and I just think it is a real shame that the staff did not go the tiny bit further. Michelangelo could be so much more than it is without causing much more effort of cost to the owners. Their loss as we would not return there in a hurry despite it being a great complex due to those little missing vital elements that make a holiday so easy.
- Advice: Room only would be best option

Having been a Michelangelo customer for some 15 years, it pains me to write this damning review. We booked for June this year - knowing that Emilio who previously ran the bar and restaurant within the complex had moved on. The Michelangelo is set in such lovely grounds, the pools and ambiance of the place always drew us back. However, on arriving the first very noticeable thing is that the restaurant has been converted into a games room with arcade games and a snooker table! What a loss to these apartments as the quality of food and service was an added bonus to your holiday. As returning customers we usually email Nellie (the owners daughter) who always gave us a lovely room - but on this occasion, as the complex was still relatively quiet, we were put in a small studio. The rooms were the usual standard and what you come to expect from Greece, they were clean, but we too noticed that the beds and towels were not changed as regularly as they used to be. In the mornings at these apartments in the past there used to be a huge amount of cleaners, all in uniforms, servicing the rooms. This year we saw 2 cleaners in total. The onsite laundry they had for doing all the sheets/towels has been turned into a room, somewhat small at that. The gardens are not as well maintained as they used to be, and the bar area was decidedly dirty - floors never brused whist we were there. In fact, an ashtray had been smashed and the glass remained under the same table for the whole week we were there. Emilio who previously ran the bar and restaurant ran a very tight ship, immaculate and the evenings entertainment was second to none. The bar was closed every night by 10.30pm. Never in the 15 years since I have been going to the Michelangelo have I seen the bar in darkness at that time of night. No more coming up from the town to have a nightcap in the bar - which most people do - oh no, Nellie runs that too, and she wasn't for staying up late. No entertainment of any kind available. Michel, the owner, whom I have known as a friend all these years, watched as we walked past the onsite bar and walked up the road to the Mythos Bar. As other reviews have stated, this bar is run by two brothers and they were really friendly and must have been rubbing their hands together at the business coming their way, although they deserved it as the bar was lovely and modern. I honestly fear for the future of the Michelangelo who have allowed it to slip downwards with regards to standards. The right people are not running the place - good staff make the place - and how Emilio and Billy are missed! Needlesstosay, we are going to Emilio's new apartments - in Nissaki - next year. Went to visit him whilst on holiday and his bar, restaurant and apartments are lovely - AND CLEAN!! The Michelangelo used to be 4 star - but even we would not pay to go there again until they get their act together, that is if they survive. One more point, the new part of the complex was shut when we were there, but can't help thinking that instead of builidng this new part, why not put the money to updating the older apartments and investing in them?? We travelled with our friends who had never been to Greece before. They absolutely loved Kassioppi and the Michelangelo, although they confronted the cleaners about towels - to no avail must say. One dismal final note, ordered poached eggs one morning (only breakfast I had ) and could not eat them as they had been poached with so much vinegar that the only taste was the vinegar! The "chef" looks the part with his chef's hat, but he is not hard pushed - sits outside most of the time doing nothing. Previously, the restaurant would be busy all day until 10pm at night. Oh, what a waste of a once fantastic place to holiday.
- Advice: Once upon a time, loved this place - sorry but the love story is over!

Me and my girlfriend had a weeks stay in michelangelo village from the 16th july to the 24th, We were really pleased with the appartment it suited are every need the 3 pools were close by and the bar over the road had very friendly staff, our beds got made every day and our room was clean, the air conditioning was a reasonable price and was well worth it because it was reaching 42 degrees most of the week.
The walk to the harbour is about 20 minutes and the walk back takes slightly longer due to the slight hill there are many good restaurants in the harbour too and there are about 3 beaches that are not too far to walk too.
I would highly recomend Michelanglo appartments to any one.

We booked our holiday at Michaelangelo III St. Spyridon and found ourselves in the St. Spyridon section - thank goodness! After booking, we then read some pretty horrifying reviews of Michaelangelo - and heard pretty much the same from people who stayed there while we enjoyed a lovely stay at Flora's friendly and helpful site. Our room was basic but clean and the staff were ever helpul and obliging. Admittedly, we would have appreciated beds being changed more than once a week but towels were changed every frew days and bins emptied daily. We were a little concerned that our room was next to the pool and immediately opposite Mythos bar. However, the pool does not operate after 7.00 pm and the fsamily who run Mythos were absolutely brilliant. True, there was a wedding which went on to the wee small hours, but Michael, Tanas, Angela and Diane who run the bar could not have been kinder more hospitable. They even invited us to a brilliant swordfish barbecue - food and drink there are excellent and very reasonably priced. The free internet for customers is a boon. When we were without electricity after a storm one morning, Diane came across with a primus stove for us to make a cup of coffee - and Flora and Joanne, a fluent Greek speaker from Sheffield - made coffee in reception for any guests who could not do so themselves. Kassiopi is a delightful resort full of Greek charm and friendly people. We recommend the coastal walk from Kassiopi beyond Avlaki Beach to Agios Stefano down the coast - a nature lovers' dream. Also, Strofelia and Avlaki Beach Restaurants were brilliant. It would be a shame to tar St. Spyridon with the same brush as many of the Michaelangelo reviews.
- Advice: If you are looking for Greek hospitality and good basic reasonably priced accommodation, this is it
