Just got home from Kalami this morning, and dont think i have ever been so sad to be home! Being 17 many think that you need to go somewhere with a fantastic night life and though I may used to have agreed I dont anymore. It was quite a quiet place in comparison with many but it was this that added to the enjoyment. I've never met more friendly people than here especially those in the cocktail and dreams bar which i recommend people go to and participate in there greek nights quizes etc. I would say that hiring a boat for the day is a must! The weather was excellent and I really hope to return next year and see some of the people i met again! Cant really explain it in writing, its somewhere you have to go to.x
- Advice: It was amazing, I cant wait to go back its one of a kind n you really get to know the place n people

I only just got back from Kalami the other day and I loved it !!! I thought it might be helpfull to write this review for parents who were looking to take their family to these apartments since I am in a family of six and this review is from a childs pont of view . Because Kalami sounded quite different to the other places we've been in Greece, we were'nt sure wether there would be much to do there to entertain us. But over the week we were there we managed to fit a lot in. We took a bus to Cassiopi where there was not too many shops but there were some nice little places to eat by the sea. We also took a glass-bottem boat across to Corfu town which made a nice change to going on a coach down dodgy greek roads! Another great day out was when we went to 'Aqualand' there was something there for all the family including great childrens areas which kept my 5 year old younger brother entertained all day.
The resort was amazing and had everything we needed. The two bars served great food and the staff were very friendly. We swam in the top swimming pool because it was closer to our studio and everyday it was clean. We also liked the fact that by the pool is a pile of inflatables that are there for anyone to use and we had great fun playing on them! At the bottem bar they had childrens cocktails which were very nice to have in the evening! From our apartment we had a beautiful view which really was lovely to sit and eat breakfast on. The children in our family our very fussy about food but every night we found somewhere to eat which was lovely! Thankyou for reading, Katrina

Just arrived home from a fantastic week at the adononis apartments. Kalami is just beautiful and with a frendly feel. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the sea and would recommend hiring a boat for a day.
Our apartment was recently refurbished and they did an excellent job, it was much bigger and more sylish than the usual basic apartment we expected. The staff at the reception and supermarket were very friendly and helpful.
Only 2 downsides -
-Our apartment too close to the Cocktails and Dreams bar which we found too noisy especially on the karoke nights which we felt didn't fit in with the quiet relaxed holiday the resort promised.
-The mosquitoes are blood thirsty!
Despite those we would love to go back again soon to explore more of the island.

The apartment is based in Kalami, about 3 minute walk from the beach (pebble not sand), 2 minutes from 1 of 3 mini supermarkets, 2 tavens and three barswithin 5 minutes walk. The apartment was very clean with towels and sheets changed twice a week. Pool cleaned every few days. Balcony was too hot to sit during breakfast but cooled down during the day. Nice position to watch the boats and who's coming into the bay. Food package left in the fridge consists of feta, greek honey, greek wine, can of Amstel, fruit, butter, milk and orange juice. i have no compaints with the apartment at all. i went with a friend who has been going to Corfu since 18 months old and he said that most apartments don't have air conditioning. It was hotter than the usual weather for end of June and he said the air con will now always be a must. Most places have fans but some don't even have that. 12 Apartments in the block to share the pool but to be honest most of the time it was like having your own private pool as people tended to use it at different times of the day. Beautiful views. Only one comment through, another couple told us that the owner likes to check passports and let himself into their apartment early on their first morning without knocking. Leave the key in the lock and he will come back and knock later.
There are three tourist ofices in Kalami. If you go to the one next to Thomas's Place, they will book you a table at Tavern Nickolas in Agni. This is by far the best tavern locally that provides a boat each evening to collect and return you from Kalami to Agni. The food is great and fairly prices. We went to another local tavern, had the same meal and paid double for it. You can also watch how the Albanina coast guard come into the bay, collect dinner and got back to work. Some of the boats moared in the bay are big. Greek Night is Thursday nights at Tavern Nicklolas which needs to be pre booked as alway fully booked. Drink lots of water with the wine as the wine is very strong. Guaranteed hangover.
i would say hiring a car is essential as unless you hire a boat/moped/quad bike as the nearest 'town' is 20 minutes away, 45 minutes from Corfu town and it's very hilly. i spend most of the week in 2nd/3rd gear. got into 5th going back to the airport. Greek drivers also try and overtake you on the left when your signalling to turn left and then beep their horns at you. Taxi drivers are the worst. You can tell the tourists/hire cars as they drive much slower than the greeks.
Apartment was through Sun Isles. Car Hire and Flights booked seperately. Easyjet now fly daily to Corfu but we didn't know that and went on a Monday with Monarch. Don't use Budget Car Hire as they don't have a desk in the airport and if your flight is delayed like ours (6 hour delay from Gatwick!!!) they charge you £25 to 'deliver' the car to the airport out of hours. If i had know that i would have booked with Hertz or Avis.

An absolutely lovely setting. Very relaxing and scenic, with some great restaurants to boot.
Our apartment was just right, with an excellent view across the bay. The room was reasonably basic, with no air-con, but you could rent a fan for very little. Very pretty gardens and surroundings in general. The pools (both of them) were FAB as were the staff!
The beach is pebbley, so you'll need some plastic shoes if your feet are soft (like mine). There are beds and parasols available to rent if required.
The food at Cocktails and Dreams (the apartment's bar/restaurant) was actually rather good, especially if you stick to the specials (local dishes) which were yummy! We found that the food at Tomas's was OK but nothing special and that there were rather a lot of mosquitos buzzing around that restaurant in particular. I preferred the Kalami Taverna, which is directly across the road from the apartments (on the beach). They did some lovely dishes. We also got the free taxi to and from Dimitri's restaurant, where the food was very nice and views were, of course, fantastic. The water-taxi to Agni restaurant was also a real treat, with the fresh fish and seafood served there being really excellent.
We got car hire for three days and drove all around the island (and through the middle). There are plenty of areas to visit, especially in the North. e.g: Agios Giorgios and Paleokastritsa. Corfu town is a bit mad to drive around, but very interesting indeed. We even visited Kavos and can see why many other people choose not to!! At one point had to get out of the car to move a wild tortoise out of the road!
P.S: There is a small bay just around the corner from Kalami, I think it's called Kouloura. We walked to there late afternoon each day and stopped, overlooking the little marina and the Albanian coast, for a small jug of wine, whilst feeding the friendly sparrows and wagtails, who came to say hello.

This was our third year back at Kalami, we're booked for sep/oct 2008 and going there for our honeymoon may 2009. I'm reluctant to rave about Kalami for fear of it being overrun but it is quiet and beautiful. The A&A apartments are basic but clean, which is what you need when you're only sleeping in them. The beach is pebbly but clean and has 3 tavernas along the front, the best of them in our opinion being Thomas's. It is a bit of a steep climb up to the aprts so not good for the infirm and the young will deffinitely not like it because it's so quiet, but for us middle-aged working class travellers it is heaven. There's only 3 bars in the small village, if you include the one at the A&A aprts. They have entertainment there a couple of times a week i.e., Karaoke, Greek dancing etc but this is all finished by midnight so you're sure of a good nights sleep or a long sit out on the balcony if you fancy. There is also a taverna a short walk round to Kaloura or a taxi boat ride round to Agni for 3 more. If you're looking for night-life then don't bother with Kalami; it's a beautiful, quiet, unspoilt coastal village for those wanting a purely relaxing holiday. That's why we're going back for our honeymoon.

Great accommodation in a great resort - Kalami is beautiful and despite what some guides might say, still unspoilt. Lets keep it that way! Will not appeal if you want lots of nightlife - it is very laid back with the emphasis being more on eating out - we had some fantastic meals and would recommend Taverni Agni just around the bay and Thomas' Place on the beach at Kalami. This is not the place to come if you want to party the night away.
The apartments were very clean and had everything you might need for a self catering holiday - my only gripe was the really hard mattress on the bed!! We had a fantastic view of the bay and were only 2 mins from the beach and about 10 seconds from the pool - bliss!
Weather was great when we got there but we had a couple of cloudy days - but it was early May so can't complain. I would go back to Kalami again... and again - and I hope to one day!

Please go to Kalami, you will not regret it. I cannot recommend it highly enough and am torn whether I want to share it with anyone as it's just so perfect.
The yachts and cruisers in the bay give the place quite an exclusive feel which totally belies the actual cost of staying there which is very reasonable.
If you are looking for total relaxation, stunning scenery, friendly locals, great food, fun evenings, and the most memorable holiday ever you should go here.
The apartments are very spacious, well equipped, and clean with amazing views of the beauty of Kalami Bay. There are a lot of steps which cannot be avoided although there is a lift to get past the worst which is a total life saver.
I can't lie, the lack of air con in August was a problem, but we didn't want to be in the room much anyway due to the beach and pool being so totally perfect. We managed to sleep with the aid of a fan which we hired for €10 a week.
The resort was much more than I could have hoped for, the amenities are very good with everything you could need from picnic plates to cotton wool available in the supermarkets, nice souvenir shops and plenty of places to arrange excursions etc.
The food in the tavernas is great; plain Greek cooking with lots of grilled meats, fish, stews and, being so close to Italy, lots of pasta too and even English breakfast if you want it.
If you're not normally a beach lover you will adore this place and be converted forever.
There is no sand (yay!) and the use of sunbeds etc is not so much that you would ever feel crammed in like in some resorts. The water is warm and there are no big waves, only ever a slight swell if a cruise ship passes by in the channel. I was surprised by the amount of marine life we could see with our snorkels.
You should definitely hire a small motor boat. It's very easy to arrange and to drive and a great way to get out and about for a day. Quite an achievement too for a land lubber like me.
Everything is so easy to arrange and information and bookings are easy through the small travel offices and the accommodation reception.
Top tip, take a trip up the hill to Dimitiri's for the most spectacular and romantic view and the best food. Ask reception to make a reservation and he'll come down himself and pick you up from the village at any time you want. Go when the moon is full and you'll never forget it.

Beautiful place. Very quiet, full of older, upper middle class people who return year after year after year.
Katerina who ran the top bar was absolutely amazing - really made our stay there something special.
The apartments were fabulous, always clean and the staff were so lovely.
Wish we could say the same for the bar staff in the bottom bar - very rude and unhelpful - only seemed interested in people who had been there before.
Loved Gina the receptionist - very helpful - wish we could say the same about Kirsty the holiday rep.
Would recommend to other people but not really for you if you enjoy a good laugh and a more lively time - or you only intend to visit once in your lifetime!

Kalami is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been to, very quite with no cars or rowdy people, you can travel to other places or take advantage of the many trips.
We went on the Holmers boat which picked you up from the beach took you to a secluded beach for a barbecue and then proceeded to Kassiopi for a few hours, then returns you back to the beach, also to Corfu by night again on a boat which picked you up from the beach, this was a very enjoyable trip and gives you a chance to pick up the gifts, lastly we went to the water park which was quite busy, but very enjoyable.
The Tavernas were great and also the bar cocktail and dreams at the apartments was fantastic, the food was very reasonable and did not have a bad meal. You meet great people and the bar staff can not do enough for you.
My husband and I would return again, and were sorry to leave this beautiful place.
