Best Western Beach Resort Reviews
The most off-putting thing about this hotel is the smell. The mixture of damp and mouldiness was enough to make me gag. The windows in my room were sealed.
Be aware of the following:
* Odd number floors have smoking rooms.
* Valet parking is an extra $ 15 + taxes per day.
* Allow 30mins - 45mins for Valet parking to retrieve your car.
* Wireless internet is available on the first 3 floors (Floors 4, 5, 6) only and in the lobby/pool area. No wired internet in the rooms. One (yes, only one) ethernet cable in the lobby.
* When you check in, they require a $ 20 deposit for incidentals etc. If you pay cash then they do not allow international phone calls from your room. If you use a credit card then they do.
* If you use the safe in the room, you get
charged extra $$$ when you check out. No-one had mentioned this before check out.
The only redeeming feature of this hotel was it's location on the beach and proximity to South Beach.
My employer paid for my trip to a conference but if there is a next time, I'll pay the difference for a better hotel.

OLD OLD AND OLD!! I need to let people know about this hotel. My partner and I went here for a week’s stay we are both 25!
I’m happy having a nice meal and a few drinks in the evening and a rest by the pool or beach in the day. BUT this place is so outdated and OLD when we first walked in and there were OAPs EVERYWHERE we thought it was just a coincidence! How wrong could we be!
The hotel was flooded with Old people aged 70+ we were the only young people in the hotel!
I’m not one to moan as long as the rooms are clean and the pool is nice I’m happy!
The rooms were old and stunk! And the pool was closed from 6pm until 8am! Not sure why as I’ve always had a nice dip at around 7/8pm before heading out. Plus the pool wasn’t cleaned once since we were there and was full of bugs and bits of trees! It was disgusting!
On the up side the beach was just on the back of our hotel so my partner and I spend most days there or caught a bus down to south beach (1hrs ride!!!) so be aware its very much out of the way from reality!
The staff that worked there were all 70 and over and very grumpy!
Not a family holiday! Or for anyone under the age of 60! Great if your old but otherwise a big NO NO!
