We booked our holiday 3 girls to christina apartments in laganus Zante in may 2009, from the picture it looked clean and very picturesque so we booked it.
When we arrived at the apartments a bar man met us and showed us to our room to get to the room you had to walk up a very dodgy staircase .we had 3 beds tw0 of which were normal beds the 3 rd bed was a camp bed and the roomj we had was full to the occupancy it slept 3. My friend sat on the third bed and she fell through it it took two of us to pull her out, there was no springs on the bed so we went and complained and was told it would be changed that day so we went out for something to eat and returned at around half four and we saaw our rep and she said have we complained and we said yes, the bed eventually arrived a t half six still the bed was very uncomfortable and had two matresses on it!!!
So the following day we was laying round by the pool and our rep asked if the bed had been changed and we said yes but it was still very uncomfortable and the rep turned round and said that is the standard in greece!!!
All the sheets we had had blood on them and had holes in!!
So as the holiday went on i wore a white bikini and got in the pool my bikini turned green!!
We had been there for 8 days and our sheets ans bath towels had not been changed and the apartment had not been cleaned!!
So AGAIN i went to the rep and complained and the sheets were changed and we were given clean bath towels!!
The rep was not interseted in you if you didn't want to do any excursions she was more interested in the big groups of lads that were there!!!
I would not recommend you go there if you are family or you go there to cook!!
The cooker was an electris hob with two rings on it!! one small frying pan and that was it to say basic very basic!!
Also there was a childrens swimmimg pool which had no water in it!!
The only good thing about it was the fact that it was set in beautiful grounds and it was just the right distance from the nightlife!!
But i would not recommend that anyone stay there!!
Dinks and food at the bar was over priced!!

This has been my fourth year here with my family and friends. It’s perfect for doing nothing really, everything is so close and perfect if you’re on the beach one day and need to go back to the apartment!
The Greek people are so friendly and kind and it’s a very welcoming place. You feel like you’re at home as soon as you arrive. Further up into the square, there are some restaurants and bars. The local bar is Jimmy's Bar ... All the staff are lovely and you get on with them very well .There is also a beach bar called Chill' Out Bar which is very handy during the day if you need a nice refreshing drink.
The owners Nikos and Maria are very nice as well as their daughter Christina. Yannis, the owner of Litsa Apartments next door is very nice and he is in charge of the reception and is very helpful.
I would definitely recommend this place because I am only 14 but I still enjoy the holiday and everything about it .When I go back every year I always get a welcome from people every where . Its great and I love it!

I have just returned from my 8th year in Fourka - so as you can tell, I love it! The rooms at the Christina Apartments are very basic, but you only really need them for sleeping and showering, as the tavernas are all so reasonably priced you can easily eat out every night.
If you prefer to eat in, however, there are several supermarkets around the village (including a newer, bigger cash and carry on the main road), the closest of which is a short walk across the road. If you get bored of lying on the sunbeds, a 20 minute walk down the beach will take you to a pool with turtles in it - take some bread to coax them out!
After your meal, there are several bars in the village, my personal favourite located next door at the Hotel Australia - Jimmy’s Bar. Jimmy is a wonderful host, and the barmen (Ilias and Dimitris) are excellent and friendly. There is also the Chill Out Bar, on the beach, run by Yannis who also deals with any queries in the reception of the apartments.
All in all a lovely place, although not suited to those who want "Blackpool with sun" or 24hour entertainment provided - but definitely one for sun-worshippers!
