Situated on beach and a short 10min stroll to Kardamena where there is plenty of
nightlife and lovely eating place
Really enjoyed this holiday and the all inclusive was very good

Great Holiday from A TripAdvisor Member
Just back from 2 week stay with husband and 2 kids (17&14). Had a great time, kids loved it and didn't want to come home. Very clean, staff really nice, facilities superb. Artur and Anna brilliant! George and Maria good fun and gave us a laugh. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with children of any age. Kardemena town centre only 15 mins walk away. Hotel also has a superb beach only 2 mins walk from the pool. Watersports very very good and very reasonably priced. A worthwhile holiday.
BRILLIANT HOTEL from vinamad
Have just come back from a fantastic time at the Sovereign Beach. We went with our two children (12) and (10). Food was really nice, good choice every evening and plenty for the kids to eat. Entertainment was brilliant. Arthur and Anna do a wonderful job given the resources available to them! Entertainment is suitable for everybody. Hotel was clean, barstaff were really friendly. Angel at the Pool Bar was lovely, especially to the children, but desparately needs an assistant. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone with kids and would happily go again.

After reading the previous reviews posted we were aprehensive about staying at the Soverign Beach - how wrong we were! The hotel was always clean and tidy, the cleaners worked right through the day keeping the public areas clean. The food served at dinner was always hot and plentiful with dishes replaced as soon as they ran out even at the end of the sitting. The food was varied and really nice - I can only assume that the people who didn't like it were your typical brits abroad - want their English food as it is at home and are not willing to try anything they can't buy in Tescos! The only let down on food was the snack bar food where the chips and sandwiches were sometimes a little bland but still edible. There was entertainment every night in the open air theatre which was good once the bingo was over, the daytime entertainment around the pool was good especially the water polo! We really enjoyed our holiday and would recomend a stay at the Soverign Beach Hotel.

If you have any doubts about this hotel don't worry, we have just returned from a two week holiday there and loved it. The food was great with a huge variety for everyone, the staff are all friendly, helpful and hard working and the entertainment is excellent. This is probably the best holiday we have ever had

(i picked neutral/average as Okay, but some problems was to little a comment) it was ok but i hated the ants in our appartment.exellent entertainment. beds were a bit hard but other than that it was ok( the views were amazing! but a 15-20 minutes walk to kardamena)

Just got back from a lovely holiday in Kos staying at the Sovereign Beach Hotel through First Choice. Our room was clean but was very small especially for the 4 of us I wouldn’t recommend it fit more than 3 people really but as we only used it for sleeping it was fine! The facilities in the hotel are great the pool area is fantastic and you are really close to the beach. My children (9 & 6) really enjoyed the kids club and the evening entertainment was perfect for them. The hotels entertainment team work really hard at getting everyone involved but if you just want to relax they let you be. After reading comments on the food I do admit I was quite worried on what I was going to find but it was ok- good choice for breakfast dinner & tea the snack bar is perfect if you are feeling peckish throughout the day or just can’t be bothered to dress for lunch! We ate out 3 times throughout our 1-week stay as Kardamena town has lovely restaurants and I didn’t want to be tied to the hotel every night and just fancied a change of scenery. This is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday with children

This is NOT a 4* hotel. The ratings were based on last year and other visitors commented on their disappointment in 2005 compared to 2004. Food is repetitive unless you like pasta and chips! Children's "tasty corner" was chicken wings/nuggets or fish fingers! Entertainment gives Butlins a run for its money. Not the animation team's fault in any way, just no investment. Rooms are basic, but serviceable. Pool was cold and at times murky. Several children had to go to Kos Hospital with ear infections, which were possibly caused by the pool water - recommend ear plugs. Watersports on the beach are great value for money and Kerry, Alex and Paul are very friendly and helpful. Recommend the speedboat to the Thermal Springs. Great restuarant in Kardament called Amazon. 15 € for 3 course meal and drinks all night. Entertainment after dinner will get you all on the tables and chairs. Having been travelling all inclusive since 1997, this rates as one of the worst I have encountered.

bFantastic! amazing! Great! This was the first all-inclusive i've ever been to and i loved it!!! Of a morning afternoon and night the food severed at the restaraunt was gorgeous, You had cereals, fruits, greek yoghurts and hot dishes for breakfast and salads, hot dishes for diner and tea with fantastic cake and ice-cream for pud! The staff were absolutly fantastic! The receptionists, bar staff and restaraunt staff always greeting you with a smile. And of course, how could i forget the entertainers, who were also known as... The animation team! activities on all morning and afternoon due to there hard work and effort, darts, water polo, football, music, aqua gym one of each for kids and adults, and when they weren't doing activities there was music and a short quiz! And if the atmosphere at the pool isn't what you want then you don't need to worry as there is a quiet beach just outside the hotel were you can relax in peace or snorkel with the fishies. Then of a night the animation team give you bingo and a show from 9:30 till 11:00! But what amazes me most is how the three entertainers managed to make our holiday 100percent better. 10/10 for Arthur, Anna and the newest member of the team, the beautiful eileen! thanx guys!^_^

the soverign Beach hotel is a very well run, very well kept hotel, and staff were just wonderful, there is nothing too much for the catering manager to do to make you happy . I cannot understand how anyone can say this is a bad hotel, unless !!!!!!!!!!!!!! the person who is saying the hotel is bad!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe did not get his own way !!!!!!!!1and is being spiteful !!!!!!!!! believe me this is a first class hotel try it
Very disappointing for a 4 star! from noods
We have just come back from a very disappointing weeks stay at this hotel. I am extremely glad that we were not there for any longer. This is our 4th all inclusive. Last year we stayed at at a 3 star which was considerably better than the Sovereign. I can not understand the last poster who described the food as good and the hotel as spotlessly clean. I can only assume this is the manager trying to keep a good reputataion, although she did not care what we thought while we were there. I have never been one to complain, but I plead to those thinking of this hotel, THINK AGAIN. The main staff are great, the rest are miserable, especially in the restaraunt. Rooms are adequate, cleaned daily, but the air con is not great. For a 4 star the food is terrible, hardly any coice what so ever. I do not want to eat to English food, but hotdog sausages and onions and roast potatoes for breakfast is beyond me!!!! Salads were lovely how ever. The taverna next door is lovely and once you have tried it it will tempt you over and over. Great food and service, overlooking the sea with greeek music! Lush. Better than sitting in a school canteen environment. The one great thing about this place is that you do not have to be up at the crack of dawn to reserve sunbeds. There are plently and plenty of room for them, unless you want to be in a certain area. The pool itself is of a good size but quite murky in my opinion. It was only cleaned properley once in a week. The toilets were disgusting by the pool and the bar. THey were cleaned once a day and kids were slipping in muck, it was vile! I reported this and the manager didn't give a damn. The bar was very limited and the queues were a nightmare when you were only allowed 2 drinks per person.. Th epool bar often ran out of water later in the day, again the management did nothing. Entertainment was awful. In one week there was one professional show. I The only good thing to say about this hotel was that the First Choice kids club were great. Most disappointing hotel and everybody agreed whom I spoke with whilst on holiday there. This should definately be downgraded.
